While this DQ is a smaller operation with a limited menu, the staff were able to make some very tasty treats for us pretty quickly. Would highly recommend this place for your soft serve needs!

I’ve ordered the pumpkin pie blizzard twice and both times they gave it to me without whipped cream after asking me if I wanted it and I said yes. Please learn how to make the product as advertised.

Generally like their soft serve ice cream product and recommend it as a local ice cream shop. However, quantity of product varies greatly depending on who dispenses it. Have had problems with ordered cakes. Great hot fudge. Chocolate dip seems salty. This location does not have DQ Grill/food.

First..I cannot believe this is the only ice cream place in the area other than downtown Mystic.Secondly, knowing that, I cannot figure out why they had 3 kids working there that were highly inefficient. It was almost 9pm on a Monday night. There was a line going out the door and once I got inside I heard things like we are all out of strawberries.. we dont have any cold fudge... the machine was out of ice creamWhen it was my turn to order they gave me my options to choose from based on them not having all the ingredients needed for what I ordered off the menu (not a special order).Should have just bought a half gallon at stop and shop

Ladies behind the counter are friendly and very quick. I witnessed one demonstrating a lot of patience while helping an elderly customer. Blizzard was mixed all the way to the bottom.

There is nothing more disappointing than ordering your first Blizzard of the season and the staff hands it to you melting and overflowing over the cup. There is no excuse for this. I get melt, but take a minute to ensure the quality is up to company standards.

Ice cream ok, food was terrible. Got a chicken bacon ranch with fully yellow lettuce that tasted worse than it looked. It looked like the before food on those TV shows where they save awful restaurants

Short line, moved quickly and proficiently w/soc. Distance protocols in place. Had med. Van, cherry dipped. . . . . .Dairy Queen Delicious!

Seems expensive for the quality of food they give you. Limited seating outside, lots of hot asphalt near a busy intersection. Usually, my ice cream is completely melted before I can get it scarfed down.

5 stars for effort - very nice energetic kids trying to please, but a little light on training. A hot fudge sundae does NOT have peanuts on it, and DOES have whip cream. Vanilla malt was excellent however. I am sure theyll get better as the summer progresses!

You go in one door go out the other door and wait for your ice cream. They got it down so you get in and out quickly no seating in this area right now but still good place to stop and get some ice cream.

Someone should teach that that tugboat at the counter some manners. I like my ice cream my way, not their way. And being an ice cream place, personal preferences should be encouraged. Not here. Also, I resent my change being thrown at me. All in all, even if there was an invasion, & the only place open was yours, forget it ! Ill starve thank you !

Always a treat when there isn’t a line. We love stopping here for a midday pick me up. The chocolate soft serve with chocolate sprinkles is my go-to. Husband loves the strawberry cheesequake!

Very busy on a hot summer (early) evening, even so, they were clicking right through guests getting each person taken care of. It was a nice end to a really nice evening out with Tabetha at an old fashioned knitting circle! We decided that the best top off for an evening well spent had to be served in a cone, (at least mine did) we even made sure not to leave Terry out! We even got one for him!

My niece, nephew and I had delicious treats.

Brought kids there after hiking only problem was outside benches. There are 3 tables but only 4 chairs total. Happy someone got upndo my kids could sit down.

Excellent service. Fast, efficient, and the young ladies working that day were helping one another and hustling for the crowd. Place is clean, and very busy. The blizzards we got were amazing.

It was busy but the line went down fast. Customer Service was great! I ordered a cake shake and it was great!!

The line was long but moved quickly. The service was great. The temperature when you walked into the store was way too cold.

Bad customer service. The line was out the door, so the door had to keep opening for customer flow. The cashier kept smarting off about the open door. As if that wasnt annoying enough, she singled out my wife with a specific comment about bugs in our shakes. Thats no way to treat the people that supply the money, that pays your paycheck. I would drive all the way to Waterford before I will come back to this place.

Apparently Legend has it this is the oldest Dairy Queen in the world. Luckily the service is quick, and how can you not like ice cream cake? Best birthday cake ever!

You know what youre going to get. Price is more reasonable than the specialty places in Mystic. Definitely an everyday sort of place.

They have cut back on most available nut free choices since new management. Most of their fruit flavored blizzards are no longer offered. Have to settle for chocolate, pumpkin or cheesecake. Didnt offer to accommodate. Very disappointed. The Norwich & Old Saybrook locations will make almost any combination you request.

Considering most, if not all, orders are custom, its fast service. Blizzard free if they dont do the upside-down demo for you on yours. Clean, neat efficient spot, even though its small.

The tall dark skinned, black, kid was very rude. Instead of a hi or hello, what can I get you. I got, whatcha want! Really, and then after ordering, he walked into the back and laughed it up awhile, like 5 mins. Then came back and asked again, hey, forgot watch said. I repeated the order and he again went in back, came back and told me no more hot fudge, it was cooling. It was 9:35 pm. The sign in says open till 10:00. I simply walked out and went to Sea swirl. The owners should hire better help.

The soft serve was Cristalized and had that granular texture, and they put the chocolate dip on so thin you could see the White ice cream underneath, I had him do it again and he screwed it up again.I should have gone to Michaels like my wife said.

Great little place. Prices are normal for a DQ. Line does get very long in the summer but thats normal for any ice cream place. Plenty of parking. The only flaw is there is not much seating.

First time in this Dairy Queen didn’t know they don’t have the full menu and the three “kids” serving the Saturday March 24th 2018 shift at 5:000m we’re really rude when asked if they had burgers and made fun of us, the guy actually said “there’s a McDonalds down the road if you are looking for burguers and fries” They were rude in general to all the costumers in line. Place is filthy. Owner should check his business more often and train the staff in costumer service.

Typical Dairy Queen, good products, etc. My only other comment is that their summer business usually results in a waiting-in-line time of around 10 minutes.
