What ever happened to just iceberg lettuce?? No one serves it anymore not even buffets.

It was just ok. Burger tasted prefab. Other food there may be better though.

Staff friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and hot. Area was very clean.

The shrimp were fried in cornmeal, totally different from the shrimp I ate the night before. I was told the head chef changed the menu ingredients from batter to cornmeal. The shrimp were horrible and my husbands hamburger was not even real ground meat. I sent the shrimp back, my husband did not eat all the burger. We at least paid for the tea and burger. We have been eating at the Dinner for years. Its a good thing that there are other restaurants to patronize.

Went there right before close and everyone was at the top of their game. Food was perfect! I had loaded potato soup amd fried mushrooms. My hubby had breakfast...it was all cooked to perfection in a short time and served with all the proper condiments and care! Highly recommend! The coffee was great too!

The Diner is a great option for food. They are open late. They have breakfast and dinner options. The food is really good. The seating is pretty close so you want have much privacy. They also wont let you do take out so you have to be seated and eat some before you can get a to go box. I would recommend the salads, club sandwich, and the burgers. Nice portions for the price.

Waited in line for 20 minutes for the worst service I have ever encountered. The breakfast menu ends at 11 am but they would only let us order from the lunch/dinner menu at 10:58 am. The included photo shows their attempt at steak and eggs. $14.95 wasted.

Very friendly waitresses, quick service & fresh Hot food. Great coffee, so far Ive tried the BLT with fresh Fruit on the side & the Denver Omelette with Hash browns & Toast. Everything was delicious! I liked it so much I ate the omelette 3 of the 4 mornings there this trip. Next time I plan to try dinner.

We ate there about 3 times. The food was good and came out hot. Service was very good! The highlight in this area was Ms. Turner who made the Bengies. They were excellent and she was a sweet lady! We told one server the coffee tasted old and she brought us out fresh hot coffee.

The Diner is inside Island View hotel casino. The service was great and the food is atypical of a diner. I had a traditional breakfast with bacon and eggs. It was very good and reasonably priced.

Love the blue plate special

Buffet had about 200 people line, so we decided to try out The Diner. What a treat! Blue Plate special was pork chops, fried cabbage, mashed potatoes with salad and roll. Order was taken quickly, food served promptly. Everything was really good. Next time might opt for The Diner over the buffet!! Highly recommend.

Great dining experience with the hospitality of long ago. Staff were all so friendly and personable with every patron. We could tell many folks were regulars because they knew each other by name! Great burgers and perfect fries for a great price!

The bread pudding covered with pecans and caramel, and a side of whipped cream was delicious! Food is great and the prices is low. Small place but fills you up!

Usually its good I would rate it three stars. My wife had a bad experience with her food she couldnt eat it it wasnt prepared right and they still charge her full price we probably will not eat there anymore

My family and I visited the Diner last night. I have never been so disappointed in a food establishment as I and my family were last night. First, someone took our table, right from under us, while we waited for it to be cleaned, as we were told to do. Then our food took a long time to come out & when it did ... It was dry, skimpy & tasteless. We wanted to complain but would it have done any good? We ate what little food we could because we were hungry, it was late & we were tired from a 7 hour drive from Texas. It was not worth $30+. Never again.

Diner Disaster. My wife and I attempted to try The Diner. Upon entering the restaurant, we were not greeted by anyone, although there were 2 employees behind the counter with their backs to us. Finally, a young lady came out from the kitchen area. I waved to signal that we we needed assistance. She looks in our general direction and said Hi, hows it going?. I said hi, seating for 2 please. GET THIS... She says Oh, I wasnt talking to you, but sit where you want. I turned to see who she WAS talking to, and it was another employee, a security guard. Im not saying racism was a factor, but we are white- the employees were not. Trying to get past the obvious snub, we viewed our seating choices. Several tables were un-bussed, and the seated patrons looked absolutely miserable. We opted to leave the property and dine elsewhere. I highly recommend the same.

The Diner is my favorite place to eat a reasonably priced, tasty meal when taking an evening trip to the Island View.
