I really appreciate the customer service here. My aunt and I went to choose my bed together and Im so lucky we stopped by here. I met a very nice salesman who gave me a lot of advice, and that enthusiasm helped me buy a bed that I really liked. If anyone is hesitant, this is a place worth taking a moment to visit. I love American mattress!!! . This is the second time that they have helped us.. We bought a awesome mattress from them The second time around ..they are great people And we love doing business with them.But one unfortunate thing that is out of their control. We bought a platform bed from them the one that the foot part goes up the back goes up and it vibrates.Well the first day we got the platform bed, the motor went out so the company that owns the platform bed, never called us back we waited weeks it had to be at least a month for a new motor to come out.. no directions no nothing with it they just sent a motor and that was it not even paperwork on the inside of the box..And the motor for the bed works great on one side and the other side it doesn’t work at all... we tried telling the company and they don’t want to hear anything they don’t care they don’t do anything about it and they don’t call you back..so unfortunately maybe American mattress will work with another company and they’ll have a better platform bed.Again we love American mattress they are great people and a great company and we will continue buying our beds from them!!

We purchased the King/Restonic/Biltmore/Filigree mattress and the salesperson (Joshua) was extremely educated on each mattress. There wasn’t 1 question we asked that he did not know the answer to and we had lots of questions about each mattress we looked at.We shopped around at other places but decidedto trust the expertise and salesmanship of Joshua. The mattress was delivered the very next day and I’m looking forward to enjoying many restful nights.

Jayson from the Gurnee store was super low pressure. I tried mattresses probably for over an hour. He was very friendly and personable. He told me up front that it might take 6 weeks to get a mattress and when I decided on one he was able to get it delivered the next day. The delivery guys were in and out in 5 minutes.

It’s July 4th and I stopped at American Mattress, Gurnee, to take advantage of the sale. Jason was running the store and was very helpful and lots of fun to work with on this holiday. I Do not like writing reviews but I can appreciate them when given. I am so glad I stopped in this store before pulling the trigger on a bed. I was going to buy a bed a the mattress firm racket they got everywhere and I could easily tell the difference in experience. Once I got to American Mattress I was greeted immediately and warmly by Nick ( who was in training still). I could not tell from my experience that he was new! He had knowledge and great recommendations and not to mention was very patient. Needless to say I ended up spending more money then I planned because he built great value and educated me on the right bed. He wasnt pushy or did he pressure me. I highly recommend you come to this location if you’re looking for a great bed. I also recommend you speak to Rob. He was fantastic. My boyfriend and I are almost complete opposites when it comes to what kind of mattress we like, which doesn’t make it so easy to find a perfect one to fit both of our needs. Rob was able to eliminate the beds we didn’t need just buy asking us some simple questions on our likes and dislikes and problem areas while sleeping. We went to a couple mattress stores in the past two weekends and nobody made us feel more comfortable than Rob. He is very great at his job and I don’t mean just selling but also making a connection with his customers. That was the most comfortable I felt while looking for a bed. My experience at American Mattress was great. The salesman Robert Quarnstr was very helpful. I had never shopped for a mattress, and Robert had a simple system to narrow down what I was looking for. Ultimately I found a mattress that will suit me comfortably physically, and economically.

We came to American Mattress on a quest to find a new mattress to allievate my husbands back pain. After several stops at mattress stores that left us...unsure, Rob provided us with the expertise we needed. He showed us 3 mattresses, then narrowed it down until we knew we had the perfect fit. Dealing with Rob was a dream. Hes very knowledgeable and not pushy. He will work with you to see what you want--and dont want--in a mattress. Then hell have you a try a few mattresses and get feedback from those and then ask you questions. THEN he will steer you towards a couple that he thinks will work for you. After telling him it was our first time shopping, he asked us a couple sleep related questions before having us try out a few mattresses with very little information about them. He let us feel out what we liked and didnt like before explaining about the type of product it was. I really enjoyed this aspect because it didnt give any preconceived notions about how hard or soft the mattress was before lying down. He is very knowledgeable, and upfront about the products, which is a quality I enjoy in a salesman. Knowing we were new homeowners, he was very attentive to our budget needs, and showed us quality mattresses that were less expensive before getting our approval to show something more expensive.Overall, just a wonderful experience.Thank you, Robert!

Ive been bed shopping before and its always been a hassle and I never end up with something I am comfortable on. I gotta say shopping for a mattress is pretty tough, I shopped online and literally went to 5 different stores before making my decision. We were tired of our old mattress and needed a new one. We decided to try American Mattress and are so glad that we did. John helped us in every way possible. We told him our sleeping issues and he had us try out certain mattresses - not the most expensive ones!!! He moved mattresses to different bases, gave us the ins and outs of each mattress and gave us a great deal. He is so knowledgeable and isnt your typical sales guy. He was honest and showed us the best deals for what we wanted. He was also was able to get us next day delivery (which they cant always do)- which was totally surprising - lucky for us!! The two delivery men came between the delivery times and called us to say when they were coming. They were right on time, courteous, neat, and knew their job. They had our old bedding out and our new bed set up so fast! They gave me time to clean way under the bed before our new one was set up. I believe the drivers name was George and I wish I had the other mans name. They were so wonderful. I totally recommend American Mattress for their knowledge, professionalism, and deals.

I needed a mattress ASAP and was thinking about getting one of those beds in a box because everyone swears by them but after talking with the store manager he educated me on the downfalls of that idea. Thank God because if I have to get a new mattress basically every three years because of those things, I’d be real annoyed. So he worked with me on my budget and I found the perfect mattress. And I got the best frame ever. Goodbye getting hurt on those metal frames!!!

We had an emergency when my special needs daughter ruined her mattress. I needed something immediately. After 12 years, it was time to replace our mattress. Our plan was to go to American Mattress first followed by Sleep Number and Firm Mattress and do our comparison shopping. We spent about an hour and half with him where he asked us about our sleep habits, what problems we have when we sleep and what were looking for in a bed. In other words, he took the time to talk to us and get to know us a bit before having us try out various mattresses. He explained the new technology and advancements in manufacturing and gave us enough space for my wife and I to talk without him hovering over us.
