I needed the screen replaced on my Samsung Note 8. I set up an appt for 1:00 on a Saturday. I was told it should be done by 4-4:30. I was driving home from the store and got a call before 3:00 and was told my phone was done and ready for pickup. And my phone works and looks as good as the day I purchased it several years ago. Talk about fast service!

Nicest gentleman helped me. It was the best customer service I have ever had, went above and beyond. Which was the major bonus with also the key fob I needed being half of what the dealer offered. Not only did he program the key but informed me of all the existing keys and fobs that I had never knew existed for the vehicle. He managed to make sure that no other key fob will work than what I created for my key fob and it’s so nice knowing I never have to worry about other keys for my vehicle existing than what I own.Nicest and friendliest gentleman ever. Go here before going to menards or home depot. Im not kidding. The owner spent all kinds of time talking to my husband about backup sump pump systems and helped him pick the correct battery for a system over 10 years old. Oh and he took our old swollen battery for recycling. They do more than just batteries and bulbs.

I had no idea that this location offers car key fob programming and security key cutting! I saved so much money and time getting my key fob programmed here. I shopped around and they were the cheapest by far. I saved $120.00 compared to a local locksmiths quote and $200 vs the dealership. The Manager Bhushan was knowledgeable, friendly and honest. The service is advertised with a 2 hour turnaround time, but it was finished much faster. Anyone looking to program their car key fob should check here first! They sell replacement key fobs as well. My phone is working great now, and I really appreciate how much effort the repairman put into getting this thing working again. It took longer than we both expected, but he was great at explaining the process and updating me as he worked. I had to drive 45 minutes to the repair place from my home, but I plan on coming back.

What a friendly place to do business! I had a multitude of special requests from custom light bulbs to a particular cell phone battery for a Swiss-made wireless home phone. The owner, Bhushan, sought out the exact bulbs I needed--and could not find anywhere else--ordered them, and his assistant, Chris, called me as soon as they came in. Moreover, Chris researched extensively the particular battery I needed. He even took it upon himself to order the battery to test it first. While we couldnt find an exact match, he gave me several other options. It was refreshing to receive service as a consumer who remembers when the customer and their business were genuinely respected. They both went over and above. It would be my pleasure to do business with them again.

I loved this place the employees were wonderful. I had come in to get a watch battery replaced and I wasn’t sure of the model or anything but the employee took it from me and found the right battery and replaced it for a great price. He even showed me how much energy was left in the battery I had in it and so I felt it was really worth it.

I cant say enough about the great service that I received from this Gurnee site! This is the second time that I have used this site to generate a key fob for my cars. This past January I had to leave town unexpectedly for several weeks and I needed to use my trickle charger for the car I was leaving behind as the winter was so cold. They were very polite and helpful but did not have battery for my phone as it was showing discontinued. I went to the manufacturer of my phone and they no longer carried it. They directed me to Amazon and had my battery. Batteries Plus was hard to find as they were not allowed a 2nd sign in the front.

Bhusan and Chris are fantastic. I took my daughters phone there to repair a cracked screen when we filed a claim with SquareTrade. Unfortunately, there were issues with my claim on the SquareTrade side. Bhusan kindly explained how the process typically works and waited patiently while I tried to resolve it via online chat with SquareTrade. Unfortunately, I had to wait a couple of days for SquareTrade to resolve the claim. When I returned, Chris was just as patient and thoughtful in explaining how the process goes. A second issue with my claim (again, on SquareTrades side) meant I had to go back a third time. Both Bhusan and Chris were friendly and helpful in finally getting my daughters phone fixed. The charging and data sync port on my Galaxy S8+ went out after 1 year and 7 months, and Batteries Plus Bulbs was able to fix it for $80, and installed a new battery at half price ($35) because I was getting the phone repaired anyway. Bhushan Chouhan, the store owner, was able to do the work quickly and get my phone back together. The only issue that came up was that the fingerprint sensor doesnt respond anymore. It seems to be software related and something that happens to a lot of Samsung phones anyway. When I mentioned this, he had me come back in and put a new fingerprint sensor in it. That didnt work, but he didnt charge me for the sensor. It was nice of him to try.I thought for sure when the charging port was going to go out that Id be a good chunk of the way towards a new phone, but Samsung has raised the price of the current models and the S10+ is now $1,000, which is twice what I paid for my S8+. I blame Apple for raising the price of the iPhones, thus making it okay for all phones to get more expensive. Since it seems that when iPhones get more expensive, Android phones go up in price soon after. Anyway, with luck I should get a couple more years out of my current phone.If youre wondering how the pricing compares with ubreakifix, they wanted $110 just for the charging port, and $80 if you wanted a new battery, with no discount for the battery, even though all the work of getting your phone apart in the first place was being done anyway.Naturally, when repairing something, its a function of deciding what the price of the repair is vs. the cost of replacing it. Sure, you can get a used Galaxy S8+ for like $250 or so right now, but it will have some charging port wear and the battery will be worn down too. Toss in the fact that I still owe Sprint $100 that must be paid whether I keep the phone or not, and the fact that only slightly nicer (in terms of actual performance) phones cost 10 times what it did to repair this one, and the math worked out.On an unrelated note...It seems that, despite the high price of a modern cell phone, they get less and less reliable all the time. If you can even make it two years without your current phone glitching, youre just lucky. Phone insurance schemes always end up costing more than theyre worth (unless youre just driving over your phone with a lawnmower every few months, and then you might come out ahead....), and they wouldnt sell such schemes (insurance) if they lost money, overall. Actually, if you calculate the cost of the scheme and the fact that most repairs cost less than your deductible alone, these are a license for the companies that sell them to print money.

I came to Batteries+Bulbs to get a new battery for my key FOB. It had been taking 10 or more tries to get the van unlocked so it had stopped being an annoyance and was now a concern. We did not want to be in a situation where we only had one working FOB.Bhushan, the owner and manager, was very professional. He replaced the battery but that didn’t work. He was able to show me that the contact had worn out and the whole FOB needed to be replaced.We ordered the part and scheduled install. Apart from an attempt to upsell me a new car battery (mine is only 2 years old) installation was seamless.Until...later in the week when we discovered that my husband’s key FOB had now been deactivated. So we found ourselves down to one working FOB — the very thing we were trying to avoid.We have 5 kids and I share the van with my older kids so finding a time to return to Batteries+Bulbs to have this situation remedied was a challenge. I finally had an opportunity in April.Because he had not forewarned me that replacing my FOB would deactivate our second FOB, we scheduled a time for me to return with all components (including the actual keys) so that we would be back to having 2 working FOBS.If I had made my review without returning to have the situation remedied I would have given my experience a 2.5 stars. Communication was not great (he promised to call when the FOB arrived and never did; while I was in the store I observed him shaming a customer for not telling him information he needed but hadn’t asked for) and the attempt to upsell me on a car battery that didn’t need replacing was a huge red flag (he warned me that my van wouldn’t start during the polar vortex that we experienced in January, however, the van sat outside and started without issue).I opted to give Bhushan the opportunity to remedy the situation and as a result of his handling that well and doing the right thing by ensuring both FOBs were programmed, I would now give my experience a 4.For something simple and straightforward like a replacement bulbs or batteries I would highly recommend coming here. If you do something major like a replacement FOB I would make sure you ask a lot of clarifying questions.

I called them to see if they had the battery I needed in stock and they did! I asked to schedule a time to come by.When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome by Bhushan, the store owner and manager. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!After purchasing my battery, which I did not know how to replace, he put on his gloves and assisted me and was walking me through on how to replace it all while I was only 20 degrees Fahrenheit!If I ever have battery issues or questions, I will be sure to come back.
