We had an incline plane clock that had not worked for years. We brought it to many other clock repair shops, unsuccessfully. Once we discovered Northside Clock Shop we gave them a try. They did a great job fixing it within the time frame they stated and for the price they quoted. Its been running perfectly ever since. Beautiful shop, wonderful gifts and very nice people.

I always go there to have my watch batteries replaced. The people that work there are friendly, soft spoken, and polite.I find the atmosphere there very calming with all the ticking of the clocks, and the various chimes that go off while Im waiting on my watch.I bought a curio cabinet from them several years ago, and Im still very happy with it.

My fiance and I came here to get new batteries for some of his watches. They had reasonable prices and were super friendly and helpful. They explained some unique features on one of his more elaborate G shocks and set the time on them all for us. Outside of watches and clocks, they also have some really cool music boxes and other trinkets. Will definitely come here again for all of our watch and clock needs :)

I am surprised that Northside Clock Shop has received anything but a 5 star review. The lower reviews focused on price, but I found their charges to be very reasonable, especially considering their excellent service. I recently took my disassembled grandfather clock to them for maintenance and some worn bearing replacement. It was disassembled because the clock repair company I originally had do the work had only accomplished that much in 7 weeks. After being told that it would take them 6-7 weeks (which includes several weeks of running the clock to make sure that it keeps time) because they were so busy, I was able to pick it up in less than 5 weeks. It is a family business and they are all very competent, friendly, and helpful. If you want to buy a clock or have one repaired, this is definitely the place to go.

I found this clock shop when a local (Bel Air) clock shop told me that a beloved mantle clock of my late husbands mother could not be fixed and needed to be gutted and a battery works installed. I was horrified! I know Everything can be fixed if you find the correct craftsperson. I was furious when I was told they probably wanted to gut it to sell the parts! I found this clock shop and they not only fixed that clock but many others! They are such craftsmen and the staff just could not be nicer! Excellent work.. Just an exceptional experience!

I have shopped at the Northside Clock Company for 4 years, during which time I have purchased 2 grandfather clocks from them, and had 3 antique clocks repaired in their workshop. Their store is absolutely beautiful as are the clocks they have on display. Their price for new, used and antique clocks are very reasonable and service is outstanding. THE BEST watch repair service available anywhere--hands down! Have friends who are Deaf-blind and use Braille watches. No other watch repair service in nearby states will even touch these watches. Not only will Northside examine these specialty watches, but they will find out whats wrong and make the repairs, if they can be repaired. They have even scoured the country to find specialty reinforced watch hands that will stand up having the crystal popped open and felt by touch repeatedly.Northside has saved my Deaf-blind friends and their friends (most of whom are on extremely limited budgets) a boatload of money, since these kinds of watches are not cheap and repairs to Braille watches are impossible to find!! Since then, word has gotten out within the Deaf-blind community on the East coast about this store in Hagerstown, MD that will accept and repair Braille watches. (Sorry for inundating you at Northside with so many Braille watches over the years...yet you take the challenge and make many peoples fingertips happy and faces smile!) Youll be hard pressed to find anything that comes close to the level and quality of service this family owned business provides. These folks love clocks and it shows! They are meticulous in their repair work -- theyve fixed three vintage clocks for me. I have purchased two vintage clocks from them and they have been more than patient with me on making minor adjustments over the telephone. I cant say enough good things about them other than I travel all the way from DC to get there!

I recommend this place highly. Charming little shop chock-a-block with clocks of every possible shape and size, all at very good prices. Friendly people. Excellent reconditioning service; I took my 1923 Herschede hall clock works to them and it has run like a charm since. Be prepared for them to have it in the shop for 8 or 9 weeks; they test run it very thoroughly.

I used to come here a lot for battery change and wrist adjustment for my watches. This last time they increase from $6 to $8 and to remove a few links for a watch was $5 now $10. I am not happy with the increase. I will no longer comeback. Great people and service but the prices has driven me away. Thank God for youtube, I will start doing it on my own.
