Staff is ALWAYS friendly, helpful, all around amazing - day or night. I adore vanilla soft serve ice cream cones. Its the only thing vanilla I enjoy. ;-) And out of the many different vanilla soft serve from other places this is the place I compare them all too! STAY AMAZING BIG DIPPER CREW!! XOXO

Love their ice cream, so creamy and yummy. They have dozen of flavors and you can choose what cones you like chocolate or cookies or just a plain cones. We will surely come back again.

Had a root beer milkshake that was excellent. Sixty-five ice cream flavors. What a treasure!

We only got a double dip waffle corn and a large coke no ice 8.99 ice cream was huge. I ate it but later paid the price. Soda was warm and flat seem to come from a bottle not a fountain .

The ice cream it pretty good and the scoops are big, but it is really really sweet, sweeter the other ice creams Ive had. I know ice cream is a sweet treat but the sweetness made it hard to finish.

Too expensive for how much ice cream you get. Scoopalicious and Nutters ice cream are more value for the money. They didnt have strawberry for a sundae. Girl taking my order didnt listen to what I said and got one of our items wrong. Counter was incredibly sticky and hadnt been cleaned in a while.

Cute little spot for ice cream! They have so so many different kinds, it was very difficult to pick, but everything we got was delicious! They even had a doggie ice cream treat cup, which our pup thoroughly enjoyed :)

Whats up with being out of a lot of ice creams! Young man said, yeah were out of a lot. 3rd time here and still out of Butter Pecan. Guess Ill keep going to Maugansville Creamery!

Great ice cream but the wait in the line is unacceptable it doesnt take that long to scoop ice cream and you know it.

Service was somewhat slow but worth the wait.

Best peanut butter shake I ever had

The sign needs to be fixed. Only half of it is there. The counter where you have to order was sticky and dirty. The outside tables and ground were dirty. Paper from straws and plastic spoons on the ground. The young lady that took our order was very nice and polite. They use styrofoam cups for ice cream. You should really think of another type of container that is more environmentally friendly for the ice cream. Also the price was a little high for the amount you get.

The Big Dipper is always a fantastic place if your in Hagerstown and you want some ice cream definitely go here and make sure you get the sea foam topping, its the only place around that you can get it due to it being a family secret recipe. Plenty of items to choose from so make sure its on your list of places to go.

Bought two skimpy banana splits for $15.02 and one of the bananas was rotten. No nuts either. Definitely not the place if you want a GOOD banana split!

I remember going here with my great grandmother before she past away in 2002 and now I take my niece and Nephews here and hope to take my daughter as well when she comes to visit!!! The Big Dipper has been part of my family since my mom was a kid and hope to keep them part of my family when my daughter grows old!!

A hidden gem in Hagerstown with Hersheys Ice Cream!! This is the only place I have been able to find Chocolate Moose Tracks! Amazing!!

Hershey ice cream. Lots of flavor variety. Esp. like the Arctic blends which are their version of blizzards because the soft serve they use is better quality than Sonic. No comparison flavor wise. If the right person makes it you get lots of candy add ins as well as toppings, but sometimes you get the skimp depending on whos working.

Friendly staff, great selection of ice cream, out door seating, very reasonable prices, and large servings. What could go wrong here? Nothing, unless you are lactose intolerant and even then it may be worth it. They also have Hersheys Superman Ice cream, which is not the easiest to find.

Great choices of flavors and it is open later than most of the other ice cream places in the area making it perfect for night owls like me. Seriously I think the best time to have ice cream is right before bed.
