From the beginning estimate to the completion of the install of our new garage door and opener, Family Christian Doors were phenomenal. Starting with Trevor Peters (5 Stars), who came out to us in Grand Prairie and did the estimate. He was patient and kind when we couldnt make up our mind. However, his passion for what he does thoroughly shined when he installed our opener. Not only knowledgeable, but you can tell that he wanted us to be beyond satisfied with our choices.The garage door was installed today and I was impressed with the process. Very efficient and clean. We are extremely happy with our install, but more excited about the entire experience. Every person I spoke with made it all worth it!

They have been out out to my house three times and my garage door is no better than it was the first time. He recommended that the cable on the right side be redone. Paid for that and now see the cable on the left hand is laying on the ground. From the first visit all he said is about replacing the whole garage door and rails. My suggestion if you’re wanting to get your door fixed and not be told the whole door has to be replaced, call someone else. Very disappointed especially with the first name of the company using to word. Christian. Maybe they use the word Christian to get you to call and then act nothing like a Christian

Had a severe garage door problem where my door came off the rails. Called the Family Christian Doors 24/7 Support as it was after 7:00 in the evening. Trevor Peters was out to my house in Hurst within 45 minutes of my call. Trevor quickly assessed the door problem, identified repair options and pricing. Upon agreement he efficiently made the repairs as well as ensured full maintenance check before he left. To his credit he even identified a secondary problem that likely would have resulted in further severe problems. We recently received a FCD flyer with inspection coupon in the mail. Since we have used this good company for repairs in the past, we called to schedule a check-up appointment. The office advised Philip could be here between 11am-1pm same day. Philip called to announce he was on his way and did arrive within 20 minutes. He reviewed and inspected all aspects of the door: motor, both tracks, even the 2 remotes! They don’t honor their coupons they have put out for people. I brought it up to them about their coupon and wanting to do it and the guy basically said they can’t honor it even though it don’t expire until 8/21/2021. Just gave excuses. Like it’s old (remember, not expired), prices went up etc. I’m only stuck with them so I don’t lose out on my money I paid half upfront before the actual install. Even hand wrote on paperwork it’s un-refundable. I don’t recommend a company that can’t even honor their own coupons. Would never use them again regardless if I have another issue with my garage door. Unbelievable it’s un-refundable even though they haven’t did any work.

I cant say enough good things about this company. My garage door had major hail damage from April, 2021. I called quite a few places to get bids. They came out, honored a coupon I had when I spoke to the lady on the phone, who was very PROFESSIONAL and POLITE.The sales person was GREAT and we looked at all optons. We went over what the one from the coupon was and he still treated me like I was buying a $10,000 garage door! That was awesome. I was not hurried by him. The install was TERRIFIC---very professional install and men that did it too. There is not one suggestion I can give that would have improved my experience. I have told people in my neighborhood as well. Would use them again. It has now been months since the install and it works beautifully. Its actually quieter than my other door, better than the builder grade door and keeps my garage cooler. So happy I chose this company. They made the process super easy. The door I decided to go with was from my orginal call--- the Double Steel Insulated 16x7 door, that is usually in their ads, but trust me, they can get you any door, add ons, colors that you need. My garage door was closing only when it felt like it, mainly at night, if it wouldn’t close I would have to stand at the main control holding the button down until it closed.... so finally I had bought a new garage door opener ready for FCD to come install it so my door would shut on its own, thinking the motor had worn down. Dustin arrives early and after a conversation with him about the motor...HE suggests that he changes out the sensors first just to see if that’s what the issue is... sure enough it was a bad sensor and by his suggestion he saved me $400! Door works just fine now! These guys are really on the up and up, and HIGHLY recommended!

Im a home builder and have been using FCD for 5+ years now and they recently changed installers and it shows.......TERRIBLY. They left this mess at one of my custom homes and never bothered to tell me anything about it until I mentioned it to them. The crew who initially installed the garage door came back to touch up their mess the next day and made it look hideous. I called and spoke to a supposed supervisor who was not willing to compensate me for having to call my guys to re-texture and paint the areas they messed up. Nothing christian about this company, theyre crooks.

Our installer Dan did a great job replacing our 2 30-year old garage doors and installing a garage door opener. First off, Family Christian Doors was referred to us by 3 people on our Nextdoor Neighbor sight. I called this morning and their technician Trevor Peter’s came out. He was supposed to be there between 4 and 6. He got there early, assessed our problem and was able to fix the numerous problems all before dark! Trevor gets 5 stars from the Babb’s!

Very disappointed. Only thing the guy did was spray lubricant and tightened a few bolts for $235. Did not do everything listed under “tune up includes” in their ad. Will never use again. I watched him every second and unfortunately didn’t challenge his work because I didn’t have the ad in front of me to see what should have been included.

My 20-ft double garage door spring broke and FCD offered to have someone come over the same day. Unfortunate I had to go to work and FCD was able arrange for Trevor Peter to come over the next day at my convenience. Trevor discovered a few other issues that would fail in the near future with this 16 yo door. All done in less than 45 minutes. Very satisfied customer (changed the motor on another door a few years ago) in Arlington. Highly recommended.

I tried calling several times and I left a voicemail. Its been about 10 hours now with no response. I understand if youre not truly open 24 hours or youre not open on Sunday, but please update your hours. I am moving on to find someone else who can help.

Chris was very thorough fixing our third-car garage door and explained everything well. He looked at our main garage door and asked if we were having an issue with wind pushing it in, which we did, and added bracing to it. Not a happy client. They did work before and was good this time feels like they dont want to do hard work so they just take the easy route. It was not explained to us that if we dont run the wires ourselves we are buying from them and replacing, they just staple the new wire to the wall and ceiling for the garage door opening buttons. So now for a 100 bucks we have a 5 dollar wire with ugly staples running across our garage. Bad practice for not explained how it worked. Also the bottom no longer flush with the wall as the cord is just jammed into the same whole with the old button. Now I will go buy my own wire and do it myself after this company failed (in my opinion)at there profession.

$590.40 per hour is a bit too much.I waited 5 months to write this review as I have been their customer many years and have purchased an opener, a couple of sets of springs and other things from them over the years. In the past, absolutely no complaints.On Tuesday June 30th in late afternoon our garage door came off track as we were leaving. I called them immediately and the appointment was schedule for after hours that day. Nothing appeared broken, just off track, but when the technician arrived he said the cables needed replacing. He did that and lubricated the rollers. He was here exactly 35 minutes. He charged me $344.24, which brakes down to $590.40 per hour. I paid it, but the longer I think about it, the more upset I get.NEVER AGAIN . . .

Trevor Peters came out to my home in Colleyville to install a new gqrqge door opener I had requested. While at my home I asked him to inspect my garage doors as they were not functioning smoothly. Trevor inspected the doors and showed me why I was having issues and explained my options to repair them from economical to bulletproof. He was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the door, hardware and opening and I asked he make them bulletproof and smooth. He installed the new opener, took a parts list for what was needed and returned to days later with all the parts to finish the additional work. The doors function amazingly. Trevor Peters from Family Christian Doors did a great job on both of our old garage doors. He replaced the springs, bearings, and rollers in a very efficient hour and a half. He also stabilized some loose brackets. He was courteous and professional, and he even had treats for our dogs.

Our garage door opener failed of the long, holiday weekend. When I called this morning they were able to schedule a technician to get here between 12:00p and 2:00. Just received the best customer service ever from Chris Smith at Family Christian Doors. We called this morning (Saturday) and they sent Chris right over. We had a broken spring on one garage door and an unresponsive opener on another garage door that would only open pressing the button inside the garage. One garage door was also very loud and squeaky upon opening and closing. Chris quickly diagnosed the problems on both garage doors and gave his recommendations, which we found to be very fair and appropriate. Since both of our garage door openers were over 17 years old, we decided to replace both of them with new Lift Master units that had WIFI capability. We also wanted very quiet operation. Chris was able to get the whole project done for us the same day and in a timely manner. Chris was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. His attention to detail is second to none, and he cleaned up everything before he left. He also programmed everything including our vehicles so we didn’t have to do it ourselves. I called Family Christian Doors and they came out to my house in Coppell TX within a few hours. Trevor Peters quickly fixed the torsion spring. I was able to get my car in the garage before the storm. Trevor was great. He explained what broke and how they would make the repair. He also performed a complete garage door inspection and review to let me know what items were still good and what items had wear. I really appreciate them helping me on a Sunday. Great Service!

I was not hit with hidden charges or sudden expenses. I was asked to inspect the job after it was complete and Chris patiently explained the new garage door openers features. I noticed that Chris had taken care not to leave any loose wires and liberally used zip ties to clean up wire runs. The quality of the job performed was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. I went onto the vendor’s website and sent a form to get on the morning worklist. We had such an amazing experience with Family Christian Doors after an intoxicated driver drove into our house in the middle of the night. Our technician, Chris was so helpful during the whole process, even going above and beyond his job duties to offer help when he got off work!! The installation crew was also amazing and had my doors up and running next day! Phone conversations with the main office was exceptional. Both Chris and the office informed me of the coupon they had out and offered me the discount without the circular. We decided to take the opportunity and upgrade to the insulated door. So glad we did! Overall the best experience with a company to date! We will definitely be customers for life!

Our garage door and lift were replaced by Family Christian Door in 2016 but we were treated like their #1 priority today (8-2017) when we needed help. Our technician Chris S. was able to take a bad morning, where I managed to clip the top of the garage door due to it not open the last 6, and made it into a good day.This NRH business stands behind their work, knows their business, and most importantly they are ready to fix a problem the first time.UPDATE: 6-10-19 Due to hail damage we had our garage door replaced by Family Christian Doors. This time I had technician Trevor Peters come out in 20mins from my first call to their office and totally overhaul my spring system after it snapped. Trevor said it would be 45mins and he was done within 30mins. Been satisfied both times now. Would recommend!

Our garage door torsion spring broke and I called Family Christian Doors for a free estimate. Initially a technician was scheduled to come 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. He arrived around 2:45 p.m due to the fact that he took longer time for the previous job. He told me the repair cost would be $350. I asked him about the warranty and his reply was Lifetime. So I decided to use this company. He brought a screwdriver with a lithium battery but the battery was dead and he could not secure screws into the stud of the garage wall. He asked me if we had the same kind of screwdriver. I told him ours was an electric one and that it was not powerful. He used it anyway but he was not successful to secure the screw. So he went to Home Depot and got an electric screwdriver. He managed to secure the screws. Since a powerful screwdriver is an essential tool for a garage door repair technician he should have a spare battery with him. When suggested that to him his answer was he had worked for a contractor job the previous night and he did not bring a spare battery. After he finally installed the metal tube in place in which the torsion spring go through he realized that he had installed the tube in the wrong way!! By this time I extremely regretted my decision of using this company. Since he had a hard time to secure the screws, instead of unscrewing he cut off some sections of both ends of the metal tube using an electric cut-off tool with a saw disc without wearing gloves or face shield so that he could turn around the metal tube and correct his mistake. Lots of sparks were flying everywhere including on top of my car. I was very concerned about his safety as well and I was so nervous. I asked the company if he was new but was told that he was with the compny for some time.I observed his work entire time and I have never had such an unprofessional service before. He came around 2:45 p.m. and finished the job 5:30 p.m. I had 5:45 p.m. appointment but by the time he finished writing the invoice it was past the appointment time and I had to cancel my appointment. He wrote on the invoice the labor warranty was 30 days. He should have told me the labor warranty was only 30 days when I asked about the warranty before he started working. According to the invoice the The Lifetime Warranty that he told me was parts only.I do not recommend this company. Even though Google reviews for this company are good I would recommend viewers to check other web reviews including Better Business Bureau in order to see negative experiences customers had, which I found out after I had my bad experience.

I have used FCD for 3 different projects, and was very happy the first 2 times I used them. so much so, that I convinced the GC who built my detached garage to use them instead of his usual garage door subcontractor. My third experience was a complete nightmare! From initial quote to install the process took 5 months. This delay resulted in wind/water damage to my finished garage interior. When I spoke with the manager he refused any responsibility for the damage due to the delay which I was able to document with numerous follow up emails. Wasnt looking for anything more than some concession on my door install, but was denied everything including an apology for the delay. Also, the installers left multiple unsightly holes in my drywall where they had missed wall studs. Fast forward a year later, I open my garage door to find a chunk of metal resting on my trunk along with 3 chips in the paint. I was able to line the peice of metal exactly with a bracket they had cut to make clearance for the door. I sent pictures once again to the manager but was told he didnt see how it could have been anything they did, but he would get back to me ASAP........crickets! Now today, and the last straw as to why I writing this review. I have been getting error codes pop up on my door opener and called to see if someone would be able to help me troubleshoot the problem as I believe it is an easy adjustment. I was told no one was available, my door opener is out of warranty, but they would be happy to send someone out for a minimum labor charge of $89.99. The only thing I am happy about is never having to deal with these crooks again!

Had the worst experience with this company. I had them out 3 times and my garage door still wasn’t repaired after paying them over 300.00 to repair. I talked to Vinnie and he made every excuse. Don’t let these people fool you like they did me . They are not to be trusted . They will let you spend a lot of money on so called repairs to your old unit, the try to sell you on a new unit to take you for more money . I had to call someone else out to get it repaired.

Dustin literally just finished taking care of my broken springs on my garage door. Super nice clean cut young man and very polite and professional. Family Christian Doors is probably not the cheapest service around but I found them to be fairly priced, and their work is warrantied. All necessary services made known and additional suggestions were offered without pressure like many companies do to increase the price. These guys will definitely stay in my contact list for future use.
