I recently purchased a new riding lawn mower Deere X350 48 deck with power flow bagger set up. Mike in sales/Owner was awesome to work with NOT pushy very helpful with choosing the right unit that will last me a lifetime. This machine is awesome, cuts great and cleans up very nice. Parts counter was very knowledgeable when I was wanting to get some upgrades. If you are looking for a one stop shop this is the place.

I called to Minnesota equipment at Ham Lake for bagger installation. They putted me on hold on line about 44 minutes. That is very very bad services I never had. If there is zero start, i will give them zero star. Dont work with them. So suck...

Really happy with my experience at Minnesota Equipment.Called them on a Tuesday (in early May) and set an appointment for them to pickup my John Deere riding mower that Thursday. 18 years of neglect and it wouldn’t start...who knew? lol. They showed up when they said they would, the driver was super nice and they called that night with a diagnosis and to review my options.My mower was repaired, fully serviced and ready to go by Saturday. They never pressured me to buy a new mower or make unnecessary repairs Everyone I dealt with was nice from beginning to end. The repairs, parts and pickup/delivery fees were all reasonable. All around a great brand and great service.I will definitely use them next time I need help with my JD.

If you put this address into Google maps it will not take you there. It has no direct access you have to turn a block early and go in some back way. Very very hard to find if you are not familiar with the area

I have been going to them for 27 years, ever since I moved to Han Lake. Sales service and parts are all so great to work with. They stand behind their products and do whatever it takes to make you feel valued. Just this weekend Bill in service took time to help me figure out how to fix a problem I had with my snowblower. I have bought tractors, chain saws, and numerous other items and have always felt like they really care about you. They know all about the products they sell and have the knowledge and time to make you walk out of there feeling good.

They can help you find pretty much any part for any model.

I ordered an Ariens Platinum 24 SHO snowblower. They contacted me extremely quickly to set up a delivery date and time. Even though I was outside of their typical delivery area they worked with me to ensure I was able to get the machine. They kept great communication and delivered it at the exact time they said they would with a full tank of gas. Upon delivery, they took the time to show me all the features. All around a great experience! Cant wait for a big spring storm.

The various lawn tractor models and their associated features were clearly explained to me. It was relatively easy to make a choice with this information. I thought the pricing was fair and the fact that Minnesota Equipment services what it sells was a big plus. The transaction was painless and the tractor was delivered when promised. The delivery person took the time to explain all the features and the required maintenance. I cut the lawn for the first time the next day and was very pleased.

Bill in service is more than exceptional. Whenever I have a problem with my zero turn, I call him for advice, which he always trys to help me over the phone to diagnose. He has gotten me up and going many times that way, but when it needs to go in, he always does what he can to get me up and going again as quickly as they can. Thank you, Bill!!!!

I had a great experience working with Bruce at MN Equipment in Ham Lake. I purchased a Gravely zero turn lawn mower and he stayed in communication with me throughout the purchasing and delivery process. Bruce also took the time to answer all of my questions while providing a thorough demonstration on how to operate the mower upon delivery. He offered suggestions for additional equipment that I might need but did it in an informative manner and not in a pushy, salesy way.

They can get the parts I need but they usually dont have them in stock so I have to wait for them to come in usually a few days to a week

I went to Minnesota Equipment in Ham Lake to decide between the John Deere X390 and the X394 lawn tractor. The owner answered all of my questions, and in the end I decided to go with the X394. As it turned out, John Deere was offering a Black Friday special sale price on the X394 so that was like frosting on the cake! I have done business with Minnesota Equipment in Ham Lake for years, and Im extremely pleased with their friendly and professional sales and customer service staff. The men and women in their service department are the best! I highly recommend Minnesota Equipment in Ham Lake!

I had an excellent interaction with MN Equipment. The sales staff listened to what I wanted, and offered viable, reasonable options. I didnt feel like there was pressure to upsell or get me more than was necessary. The delivery personal was on time, personable, and very articulate with his instructions. Me made sure that I was left with a product that I could operate safely. I already have, and absolutely recommend MN Equipment to people in the market.

One year ago, the sale of my riding lawn tractor went very well. I was treated great and the salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. In addition, the first two service calls on the new lawn tractor went perfect and I was impressed.However, one year later- something in the service department has changed. I had to call several times to get home service scheduled and rescheduled after they canceled.I also recently used the shop service and was not contacted when the work was completed. I had to call and follow up, rather than getting a courtesy call that the work was done. The work was done perfectly- communication is lacking.

Don’t waste time or money here. They just want to make a sale with no real customer service expectations. Would give a zero if I could!

Have better Power Equipment than you can buy at Lowes Home Depot or Fleet Farm better quality price is a little more but you get what you pay for people there are very knowledgeable

Poor customer service!When you buy a Deere, you know that youll probably pay a little more for the green paint but it was okay because you usually got a solid product and great customer service. With Mike and Minnesota Equipment-Ham Lake you only get the former. We bought a tractor with a mid mount mower late last fall and were told if we were not happy with the mower, we could trade it in. As it was late fall, we only used the mower a hand full of time before putting it away for storage. The cut was adequate but not great and it scalped our lawn in a few spots. Come this spring, still wasnt happy with it so I went in to talk to the sales rep about trading the mower in for a zero turn that I was going to buy from them. Was originally told I was going that I could expect $1800-1900 in trade in (the amount wasnt great but acceptable, the mower was over $2900 new). A week later, the rep calls and says that they would only offer $1100 which is over a 60% depreciation. I talked to Mike whos an owner of the dealership and after several conversations, he came up a little on the price but no where near what the rep had told me originally. I brought up that the rep and the guy that dealer our tractor last fall both said if we were not happy, they would stand by what they sold and work out something. Mike said something like I know your not happy with the trade in price, heck I wouldnt like it either but take it or leave it. I explained I spent a bit of money last fall buying a tractor and was planning to spend more money on a zero turn from him but it didnt matter. Obviously I walked away from the dealer disappointed. Not only did they lose the sell on a zero turn, they lost any future business in sales, service, and parts. Id still buy a Deere but Id go to a different dealer. Go to a dealer that would treat a customer like how they would want themselves to be treated.

Great place people there are very helpful. I would recommended if youre looking for a lawn tractor or snowblower. Same price or maybe even a little cheaper than the big chain stores and the people actually know how to use the equipment and show you.

The only way to get attention here is to be waving a pile of cash in front of their face. After making eye contact with several people and being ignored, one older gentlemen asked me, if I needed something?. I thought no, I just wandered in here off the street. I needed service and he said that it was around the corner. Service was great and very knowledgeable and fast. I have been in sales and customer service for almost 45 years. This place has none. I am in the market for a new mower and all I can say is that I know where I will NOT be buying.

BEWARE! Downhill since becoming Minnesota Equipment. Purchased quite a bit of equipment from Suburban Lawn (previous name) and was satisfied. Since the change to ME, Customer Service and the Service Dept. have gone downhill. Always waiting for them to get off the phone or finish working on a computer. Had the Service Dept. work on a Trimmer and Chainsaw within the last 30 days (both purchased from them). The trimmer sat there after being repaired for 3 days until I called to check in - told by the Service Mgr. Yep, all done. Its been in my stack to call you. Seriously, 3 days and you cant make a call! Last straw was the chainsaw... told it would take about a week. Week and half later I call to check in and told it hasnt even been touched yet and maybe he would get to it on Monday. Not like the saw needed a ton of work - sharpen and adjust the chain. Service Mgr. didnt apologize for the delay or say anything except there you go when I picked it up to take it somewhere else. Ill take my business elsewhere.

The parts counter in Ham Lake never has enough staff. I have to wait every time I go in there because there is one staff member behind the counter and a line of customers. If you want fast service on parts you need to go to Isanti!

I ordered a snowblower from homedepot and these guys assembled it. This group is very professional and knows their equipment. I couldnt be happier with the service Ive gotten so far. Their mechanic answered all my questions and gave me a walk through of the thrower. I should have just bought from these guys rather than home depot. Great experience!

I purchased a John Deere tractor from a different store about 3 years ago. Im not sure why I didnt buy from these guys to be truthful. The other place I bought from is not bad by any means but these guys are just way closer to my house. I purchased a John Deere X739 brand new and absolutely love the tractor and everything it can do. Shortly after buying the tractor, I picked up a flat right rear tire on the tractor. I removed the wheel and brought it up to Minnesota Equipment in Ham Lake to get it repaired. I told them what happened and that I just simply got a flat mowing my lawn. They took and told me theyd call in a bit. I barely made it back to work before I got a call from them saying the tire had been repaired and I could pick it up. So after work, I swung through and grabbed my tire. Expecting to pay for a repair on a flat, I pulled out my wallet. Flat tires are not a flaw of the manufacturer but something I happened to do while mowing. I figured its a part of owning equipment. Jim in parts said dont worry about paying, it was a simple fix. We got you. I was floored. I asked if he was sure and he said absolutely. They knew I did not buy the tractor from them but they still covered it. So now I buy anything I need from either the Ham Lake store or the Isanti store. All the guys there are very knowledgeable and helpful. I respectfully disagree with many of the reviews on this page. The guys get what needs to be done. I walk in and tell them I need a set of high lift mower blades, they nod and walk to back room and grab what I need. I need a service kit for my tractor, they point it out on the shelf. Everything there is top notch. The John Deere service kits are also the best thing to happen since sliced bread. I can service my mower in 30 minutes. Completely greased, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and oil change. Dont second guess going here. They do know what theyre doing and they are willing to help. Thanks to everyone at Minnesota Equipment for the good service I have received.

This entire experience has been great! Bruce our sales guy was upfront with when our snowblower would be in and ready to pick up. There was no hard sales and the price was exactly what he said it would be! When we picked up the new snowblower Joel went over the entire piece of equipment and let us ask questions as we have never owned a snowblower. If the service was not already top notch they let us use the trailer to transport our new snowblower home! Thank you all at Minnesota Equipment in Ham Lake.

For some reason, Im sold the wrong part every time I go here. Even something as simple as an oil change...wrong filter...wrong about oil capacity. Im done. Ill look up part numbers myself and order them online. I cant make 2 trips EVERY time. Ridiculous.
