Charming local coffee shop, restaurant and gift shop located in the village of Hamburg, open since 1997. Comfort zone is just that, a place to come for delicious coffee, tea and comfort food.I met a friend for lunch and was delighted. In the past I have come through here quickly just for a coffee or tea. I ordered the grilled cheese with Brie, raspberry and walnuts which came with a side salad. My sandwich was huge, delicious and something different. The Brie was perfectly melted, the raspberry jam was a sweet contrast to the cheese and the walnuts were soft and added some texture to the sandwich. The side salad was pretty large and the home made dressing options offered something for every palette. My friend ordered the sun-sation salad with smoked salmon. It was a generous portion with fresh ingredients and she was very happy with her choice. Other menu items include soups, wraps, paninis, desserts, pastries and Paula’s donuts. I have enjoyed their coffees and teas in the past. Tons of options for every diet and taste. In addition to the food and coffee they offer a soup club, home made popsicles and adorable and unique gifts. I was in need of birthday gift and was easily able to find something here after I finished my lunch.Sign up for their digital rewards card and earn credit for shopping. I checked in on Yelp and also was awarded $1 off a $10 purchase.Quick and helpful service. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They have a gluten free and gluten sensitive menu available complete with the option of gluten free bread.
So so good! The staff is always so friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend the captin jack sandwich for breakfast! You also MUST try their apple pie or really any of their baked goods.
Staff was very rude and short with us and reminded us multiple times that they closed in a little over an hour, they acted as if wed come in two minutes before closing. Food was alright but nothing special, coffees were not completely mixed and had small chunks of what looked like powdered creamer (???) floating in them.
Very pleasant staff. Seemed cozy and low key inside. Overpriced panini, more like toast with some filling. Might get pie to go if in the area again.
Awesome cafe, staff is personable and professional. Food is great. Wonderful place for a relaxing with friends.Highly recommend.
Loved everything about it. Great good, cute place!
Luv this place. Only wish there coffee and tea were hot.
Such a cute, friendly staple of the neighborhood! I try to get out here at least once per week (especially for a cinnamon roll on Saturday morning). Unique menu options for breakfast and lunch, and everything Ive ever had has been stellar. Love Comfort Zone!
Nice spot for a casual breakfast/brunch. Has a lot of small items for purchase. Its a cozy spot. Small portions (which I liked).this is a good spot If you are looking for a chill spot with a bite to eat. Sweets at this place are amazing.
I thought it was expensive for what I ordered. They wanted to charge me $1.00 each to add onions to the salad and for extra mayonnaise. I had a BLT and there was only one piece of lettuce and two very small slices of tomato. There was a piece of cantaloupe that was so small I almost didnt see it, along with a tiny smear of something chocolate. We did have a coupon for buy one, get one free.
The staff here is wonderful. Both the woman running the front counter were super friendly when explaining the menu changes to me, and made me feel valued. Yes, the food is a little pricey, but its a local restaurant, what do you expect? They have to make money somehow! They dont have it as easy as big chains do.The $10 meal deal is a great bargain and the portions are perfect for one person. Best part? The food was delicious!! 👌 This was my first time trying Comfort Zone and I will definitely be coming back!
Very nice cafe. Lots of different sandwiches, salads, and soups, with several vegetarian and some vegan options. The sandwiches were quite large and everyone I was with said their food was very good. Large drink selection of coffees, teas, lemonades, iced teas, etc.Parking on street or in a public lot that is only about a 3 min walk away.
Very nice and cute place! Definitely has a very cozy feel to it, the food is all pretty nice and fairly priced too!
Love this quaint place. Staff and food always great! Highly recommend.
Great options for a vegetarian. Iced coffee available. Cute sit down area and little gifts for sale.
A very comfortable, relaxing hometown place with good food and friendly employees.
I love this place and have been going there since I was a kid. I love the food and love to get lunch there. I gave it three stars because the woman at the counter is always so rude. It’s the same woman every time and she always makes me uncomfortable. I keep seeing friendly service in the other reviews. I’m confused because the only reason I don’t go there is because I feel like this woman is going to be mean every time!! It’s sad because I love supporting a Hamburg staple and I don’t want to give my business to Spot coffee.
Awesome place!
Best breakfast sandwich Ive ever had! Coffee and desserts are excellent too. Our family loves coming here. I highly recommend the lake effect frozen coffee drink. Ive never had a bad experience here, everything on the menu is worth trying once. 👌
Nice place to relax and chat. Fresh food selections and good coffee. Interesting gifts available too.
This last week, my wife & I enjoyed the first & last course meals from the Comfort Zone. One day we picked up a quart of scrumptious butternut squash soup. a few days later we ordered a whole delicious chocolate mouse pie. We ate the whole pie in too few of days, if that gives you any idea... Highly recommend the Comfort Zone, where their name certainly applies whether picking up at the curb, or eating in (hopefully sooner rather than later)
Food and coffee were disappointing but worst of all everything takeaway was SERVED IN STYROFOAM!!! Even the coffee cups?!! Frankly unacceptable.
Seriously the best coffee in town!!!! The staff is always kind and helpful. I love going there!
A little pricy for me, but good quality
Been going to this place for the last 10 years. The place is nothing to write home about and the food is mediocre, but I like to support small mom and pop places, untill now. I was in with my son who was selling something for an organization and they refused to buy one candy bar...They mentioned it was their policy not to buy anything, but theyre always selling things for a cause and I also support those. This place has seen my last dollar. Time to go to Spot.
This establishment doesnt enforce COVID friendly practices hence the score of the review. My friend found a Groupon for this cafe and decided to support before embarking on our hike. While figuring out how to utilize his Groupon with the cashier, enters a mother with her 2 daughters not wearing a mask. Her daughters starts running around the cafe, touching products, bantering amongst themselves whilst the mother stands there with no care in the world. She then asked if Id ordered.I simply responded:Me: ...your daughters arent wearing a mask? Her: ..we come here all the time and they are fineMe: ..but still they need to wear a maskHer: ..do you work here?Me: ..do you work here?Me: .. if you dont care about covid then coolThe 2 ladies behind the counter took her order then giggled about the situation. I was shocked and disgusted by the lackluster attitude of the workers towards the mothers negligence. No one stood up for me nor sympathized with my concerns. As for the food.. ehh extremely over priced for the portion size and quality. My friend barely had salmon in his wrap and dumplings in his soup. Maybe consider sticking to selling pastries and beverages.
I have not eaten there YET! I have a lot of food allergies so I always call ahead to ask my million questions and the girl that answered the phone was so nice, sweet and super helpful. I cant wait to go and eat there.I ate there last night. I never get any soup when I eat out but they had a beet ginger coconut soup that I was able to have and it was so delicious along with a Turkey a sandwich. Definitely will go again.
Oh my gosh!! What a great find. So good!!!
The girls there today went above and beyond to ensure they had a satisfied customer.
First time here.I had the matcha latte and some soup and both were fantastic.Servers were friendly and welcoming.Decently priced. Conveniently located. Will definitely be visiting again.
Delicious food and creative menu, a bit pricey
I love there food and the coffee is the best! They also have a great selection of teas. Its a little pricey but well worth it. The ladies are always supper nice and I would much rather support local business!
Love this little hole in the wall. As far as coffee shop type establishments go this one is amazing and has a more personal feel to it than their larger scale counterparts. The food is hand crafted, dessert freshly baked and taste great. Their drinks, coffee or otherwise are on par with their competitors and some I like substantially more. Expect to pay a slight premium but the quality more than makes up the difference.
Love the Lattes, homemade soups & desserts!
Something good always happens when I visit there whether its reliving memories of friends I met there, seeing small music performances or even sketching with my pencils on the Adirondack chairs in front of the building. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great tasting coffee too imho.
Fantastic drink and breakfast selection. Staff is friendly and always ready with a suggestion. Location is clean and accessible.
I love the Comfort Zone because its a non-corporate place to get great coffee. I dont care for Tim Hortons and Starbucks. Anyways, the coffee is great (many options), the food is home made (great food), and they sell all kinds of unique coffee cups, tea pots, etc. Perfects gifts for friends and family. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff are great. Stop in to The Comfort Zone some time, youll love it there
I cant say enough good things about this wonderful little cafe. Im so grateful to have a place to go that knows how to handle allergies and cares about their customers enough to provide many options for gluten free and/or dairy free! And everyone is always so friendly!
This is an excellent choice for a coffee shop in the Hamburg village. The coffee is delicious and made with care. They also have excellent offerings for food. Their sandwiches are unique and delicious and their specials have a great home-made feeling that you dont find at restaurants. There is a public parking area behind the building which makes parking easy in an otherwise difficult parking situation in Hamburg on busy days.
The atmosphere is very relaxing. The staff are on top of things. The lunch special this day was perfect for a cold February morning.
Whenever we’re in Hamburg looking for someplace to eat the Comfort Zone Cafe is our go to place. Casual atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food !!!!!!Never a disappointment ❤️
Great place to eat!
I love your Capuchino and wraps! The best💕
Great curbside delivery service!
Absolutely love this cafe for breakfast or lunch. They have very creative soup options that change daily, with at least one being a vegetarian option. Seasonal coffee selection is very good as well.
One of the staff members TOLD me to get the correct order for 1 of the ladies I was with, because he wasn’t sure he’d gotten her order correct and then again TOLD me to tell the other lady to come up and pay for her drink??? WOW!!! NOT MY JOB! Should have learned from that but, I ordered anyway... What a WASTE of time and money! The pasta salad looked good but tasted like an old sour refrigerator which was gross but, better then the Bacon, mushroom & Swiss sandwich I had which, isn’t saying much! The mushrooms had an odd taste. And I ended up with the roof of my mouth RAW and BLISTERED! That has never happened to me before and I’m 60 years old! I won’t go into detail what happened next, do to them serving old nasty food but, I spent a great deal of time at the first rest area down the road! Also, not sure what kind of NASTY OLD DRIED OUT muffins they gave me but, they sure weren’t the zucchini ones in the case that I’d ordered! Very, VERY over priced for the lack of quality and edible food... $23 of wasted money! I’d give them no stars if I could! I’ll NEVER eat there again!
Excellant food and homemade soups.Baked goods r delicious also..quaint and cozy place to have a coffee or tea..it was my sisters 1st time in there Zinnia explained the rewards program to her and was helpful in helping her choose a Vegan option. We love it there and will frequent often
A nice neighborhood cafe. I had a earl grey tea latte and it was good, if not a little bit sweet. The service can be a bit chilly or slow sometimes, but its not a huge deal.
Great cozy atmosphere and service is fantastic. This is a very well run small business with lots to offer. Right in the heart of the Village of Hamburg and heavily involved in all of the fun events that the village hosts. They have a bigger menu than youd expect and their coffee and danish selections are second to none.
Expensive and not worth it. Loved the gal at the counter she was wonderful.
Nice place, and cheerful employees. The prices are a bit high, but most places are now, unfortunately. If Spot is too noisy for you, this is a good alternative, and supports a local merchant.
Always a pleasure, Ive been coming here since I was a kid and they always hit the mark.
This place is adorable! The food was great! (I had a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel.) And they were very accommodating, I had gotten there early for a meeting, and they were kind enough to wait until the other party had arrived to serve so there was no awkwardness. They were also very reasonable for pricing I thought and even though our meeting lasted a couple of hours, they did not hurry us which was awesome!
I have been frequenting this amazing restaurant during lunches and I cannot recommend them enough. Great service, fabulous food, and stunning soups! I can’t rave enough about the homemade soups, try it for yourselves!
Great ice coffee and sandwiches. Can be a little pricey but overall nice people.
Wonderful little cafe in the middle of downtown Hamburg. Whether you want a warm cup of coffee, or a hot bowl of soup, Comfort Zone has a generous selection of drinks, breakfast and lunch options and desserts/snacks. I highly recommend.
Always a delicious visit! I love that each meal comes with a little slice of fruit and a bite of dessert!! Its very cozy and comfortable, the staff is fantastic, and Ive never had a bad meal here!
Local coffee shop with great employees. Also they use frozen coffee for there ice cubes in the iced coffee. In my opinion better then spot coffee across the street never a giant line always fast service.
Very relaxing...
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. My mother, sister and I went there for lunch. It was our first time and last. We were the only customers other than one gentleman at the counter that was chatting with one of the two girls behind the counter. We waited about 10 minutes to be acknowledged. When they made the decision to completely ignore us we went across the street to another restaurant.
Nice cafe. Comfortable. They had almond milk. And service was great. If Im ever in the area (Im from out of state) would definitely go back.
Super cute, staff was friendly and helpful.
Been coming here for many years. Love the wonderful service and smiles the staff gives when walking in.
Food is always fresh and homemade. Soups are all from scratch. Nice comfortable atmosphere. And the best service around!
Enjoy some great soup, several coffees to choose from, great salads. Servers are so nice, cute gift shop.
Great seasonal beverages and healthy options, including vegetarian choices.
Server was very nice, like all the different items for sale. Food was Ok, staff very friendly and helpful,
Well,it was an warm and friendly atmosphere. Excellent customer service and delicious desserts. Our son,Bruce loves the cinnamon roll the best!!
Love this place! Really nice family owned business in Hamburg Ny. They have amazing food, I LOVE the make your own wrap and the soups. They have a really great selection of beverages. I would also totally recommend their yogurt with berries and granola, such a nice snack. Do not hesitate to go here- you will not be disappointed. They also have really fun gifts and local buffalo stuff in the cafe. I think its great that they support the local community with local artists and products. The Owner and her daughter are both super sweet too, great customer service. They have a 5 star reward point system and they give amazing deals like free coffee once in a while or a free cookie. Such a nice perk for being a regular customer.
I Always enjoy spending time here.
Yummy coffee, friendly service, variety of food options. Nice place to meet with friends or work for a while.
Always friendly staff, delicious food, and reasonably priced
Extremely nice place for coffee and tea in the heart of the Village of Hamburg.
Huge variety of homemade soups, delicious and without preservatives.

Such a charming spot. Will definitely go again
Coffee is great. Staff is helpful. Location is nice. Locally owned
Great food and Monday Tuesday 10.00 deal delish
Best Macchiato Ive ever had, great prices, I love the atmosphere, its very warm and welcoming.
Hamburg village first private cafe.Slightly pricey, but you receive legitimately awesome food and drinks.Im saddened that a Spot coffee opened across the street - although also local it is the big franchise in this comparison and I hope theres room for both in the little village.
Great place. Wonderful coffee and food. Staff is great. A must when in the village of Hamburg.
Love this place.
Fun, quaint ambience. Interesting and unique coffee drinks available. Small but solid menu.

I enjoyed the Gluten free turkey Panini.tropical fruit cup and a gluten free muffin to take home.Oh also a delicious Chia Tea.The Sandwich was very fresh and tasty. The fruit wads yummy. They are a little pricey. But I would go back again
Healthy food. Reasonably price meals. Nice place for a change from fast food.
Super nice staff. Excellent coffee beans. Comfy atmosphere.
Always love this place. Lattes are made just right and I like supporting local businesses.
