Carl recently evaluated a piano for me before I purchased it. I did buy it and Carl then spent 6 hours with his assistant, Brad, cleaning, repairing, polishing and tuning the grand piano. They also installed the DampChaser to control humidity which protects the piano from extremes in the environment. He gave me several tips on the care and feeding of this Kurtzman grand. He also provided me with an appraisal. His work is excellent. I highly recommend him to anyone!

My piano needed tuning after 20 years as I wanted to start up lessons with no musical experience. ( children grown & no longer using piano)- I cant say enough, not only his expertise in piano tuning, but he also, was able to provide piano lessons- Carl’s teachings & scheduling, are helping me, to make my goal achievable! I had a great experience with Carl Barone Piano Tuning! My piano had been moved a number of times, and not tuned probably in a decade or more. Carl was able to give me more details about its history and year it was made; he thoroughly cleaned the insides of the piano, and painstakingly tuned it, in the sweltering heat of summer. For many years Carl has tuned my piano and gave my son piano lessons. He always did an excellent job with the piano. I always felt he went above and beyond regarding its care. He added a device to the inside that has really helped it. I believe only someone that cared that much would have taken the time to go the extra mile. And, having that piano in great shape has been extremely important, because my son plays it everyday! Carl started teaching him about 4 or 5 years ago. I saw an immediate difference in my sons playing, and Carls style and communication methods was instrumental in the development of my sons playing. For over three hours Carl treated the small console piano I inherited as if he was preparing it to play Carnegie Hall. He inspected, cleaned, tuned, and then polished the 50 year old wood until it looked new. He did this all with a 3 year old, a 5 year old, and a puppy all getting in his way repeatedly...and he did it with a smile. Usually I’m only inspired to review a business I am frustrated with, but he deserves the stars. Great Job!

Wow. Just, wow. I have owned an 1897 Bush and Gerts Cabinet Grand Piano for 14 years or so. I had never had it worked on. Carl put 4 hours of love into her. And, wow! Speechless. I havent had a piano until yesterday. Thank you, Carl. You are an artisan and a gentleman. She sounds celestial.

Carl is the best! Ive used him for my piano for years, from tuning to repairs. Extremely knowledgeable! Ill be sad when he retires....if he ever does. :o)

Carl is nothing short of fantastic !!! His knowledge and expertise set him apart from all the rest ... I recently purchased a balwin Hamilton piano which he serviced.. he completely disassembled and inspected, adjusting and tunning the piano top to bottom .he shared his knowledge on every step ..
