Cheshire Cycle & Repair is the best! Was on the trail close by when I had the worst break down in the history of biking. My chain got stuck between two gears but then also latched on the outside of the gear sprocket itself. Walked a mile to this shop and a kind worker there fixed it. He said he, had never seen anything like it. My bike was fixed in less than 5 minutes and I was on my way back home. I had informed the kind worker that I didnt have any money on me before he started working on it. He told me not to worry about it. We need more kind people like this in the world. Thank you so much Cheshire Cycle & Repair. Will definitely keep you in mind for future repair or purchases I make!

Awesome owner..fixed my brake

The staff were completely snooty and very uppity. Also they where unable to give me an exact date of when the tune-up on my bike would be done. At first the said it would be 3 days over the phone then when I got there the guy working the counter said; It will be 7 days, or maybe 10, or less. So ridiculous!

Less than a mile from my house so Cheshire Cycle was my first choice for general tuneup on old bike. One shifter was frozen but instead of replacing Dillon was able to fix, saving me over $100. Great choice for your cycling needs

Honestly my favorite bike shop around. I’m local so I may be biased but Dillon is always on point and very honest about bike fixes, component orders, etc. these guys really know their stuff and I actually look forward to getting my bikes fixed here because I know they will do a great job. Prices on labor and parts are super fair. I can imagine the pandemic has increased their business during a time when bike and parts manufacturers are running out of inventory so patience is key.**SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BIKE SHOP**Ride on!

My front brake wasn’t working because the latch clip on it was too tight. They fixed it within a few minutes and I was on my way! Would recommend this shop!

Authentic industrial bike shop that will adequately and honestly take care of your cycle related concerns.

The only experience I had was when I needed a break line after mine snapped. I called them up and was told that I could come down and get one. They were super friendly and know in the future that if I need more extensive repairs to my bike I will bring my service to them.

Never did business before with Cheshire Cycle and it was a great experience. I had some knowledge of what I wanted in an entry level mountain bike. Dylan showed me exactly what I wanted, but also showed me a bike with several upgrades for slightly more. I did some research, ordered the bike and was riding in two days. Unlimited tune-ups, great bonus. I would recommend highly.

This is a great shop. Dillon is a fantastic guy. You will always get a straight answer from him and quality work. He wont sell you anything he would not ride himself. If you are looking for good deals on both ends road stuff he will help you out. It is a bike riders shop and many people hang out there because it is just a great shop. Rumor has it the ol bring a six pack and get a discount still works here.

Dylan was incredibly patient and knowledgeable with this tired customer with 2 cranky kids. He produced quickly everything we ever needed for this ride including a bike rack. Excellent place, looks like it caters to any conceivable type of rider. Andy from the shop not only happened by to give me a hand on the trail that runs behind the shop, later the same day in the shop he helped me with a handlebar assembly problem I had while I was fixing up a vintage bike -- right there with no wait! What a great shop, and excellent service! Its service like that that earns customers and keeps them.

I have been dealing with these guys since before they moved to Hamden and I agree with all the 4 & 5 star reviewer. My experience is particularly noteworthy because my children are all grown so I wont be buying a new bike anytime soon and I do most of my own maintenance. Even though I stop in mostly for parts they are always willing to give advise and expertise.

This is a great place, all of the guys are super friendly, really knowledgeable and the services and products are always very reasonably priced. We have been coming here for 5 years to get our road bikes serviced and Ive also had an awesome bike fitting which made me so much more comfortable on the bike - worth every penny. My teenage children spent some time in the shop doing a high school business project and the owner and other staff could not have been more helpful. If you get chance, go on one of the Thursday evening rides from the shop, there are generally at least 2 if not 3 differently paced groups and everyone is great fun and very supportive if youre a new or inexperienced rider.I would give it 4 out of 3 if I could!

I had a problem at another shop and got stiffed on a repair appointment. I called Cheshire and they fit me in that day. Tuneup, tires and some solid advice when I picked up my bike. I was treated with courtesy and I felt like they actually cared about my bike and the problems I was having.Love this shop and I highly recommend them. Plus they stock a LOT of gear for such a small place. They seem to have specifically the one thing you need no matter what it is. Great shop.

Went in a few times to see about a possible used bike or new bike. On the third visit the guy answered question then a friend came in and I was no longer there, they talked about riding after work ect but the important part a paying customer was ignored. I went to Amity Bikes in Woodbridge great experience forget this place!!

Theyre the nicest helpful people! I went there looking for a box to ship my bike, they only had one & they needed it to ship one of their bikes, but they gave it to me instead! They didnt even make me pay!

We have purchased two road bikes (including a Jamis and a Ciocc) from Cheshire Cycle. Dylan and his staff went above and beyond from selections to fitting to educating you about your purchase and different options out there. I have also had my bikes tuned/serviced by Dylan and his staff. The service has always been exceptional. In addition their prices are competitve and reasonable. They will show you what youre looking for in your price range. Cheshire Cycle also has options for staying fit during the winter months. We have recently purchased a kinectic bike trainer. I strongly recommend that you go see Dylan for any of your biking needs. Top notch service. They truly love biking and want to help you get the most for all of your biking needs and wants.

Great Bike Shop! Dillan and Andy are terrific to deal with. I have been riding bikes since the 60s and I have learned more just jumping off the Farmington Canal trail and stopping in over the last year than since I started cycling. They are extreemly helpful from recommending just the right accessory for my Trek FX 7.6. For example, the pedals were throw away and Andy found me the perfect ones and they look really cool on the bike too. He also sold me the perfect pump and showed me how to use it with these new tire valves. Dillon today sold me new tires that rel=place the original ones that I thought were good but too thin for going off road. The two of them, seeing that I didnt bring my car and just the bike, dropped what they were doing and quickly and inexpensively installed them as well as fixing/removing the slowing device that Trek puts on the front brake that makes it so one cant flip but also so one cant stop in a hurry.They also showed me how to properly oil my chain (been doig it wroing since I was a kid!) Highly recommend jumping off the trail and meeting them! Jody Koval
