They sent me a poorly packaged, tangled up broken gold necklace and a broken ring. The items were not packaged very well and I wrote them upset by issue. I apologized for being up set and asked for a refund. Ken blocked me from their location on the site. This was very petty. I have a good history on shop goodwill and apologized for any rude comments which werent outrageous. buyer beware
Horrible experience! I walked in carrying 1 box and a few bags. I placed said items to the side and tried to look for someone who worked there so I could donate appropriately. Suddenly people in the store just pushed me to the side as I was placing my last bag on the floor and started ripping through my still property that I wished to donate. Unbelievable. Never again. No respect.
I bought furniture from this store twice in the past month. The first time, the employee didnt note down one of the items I told her I wanted to reserve and pick up later, so when I went to pick it up I found out that she had not actually charged me for it so I did not have it reserved like I thought and the price had DOUBLED in the meantime (from $20 to $40). I didnt buy it because it was in so-so conditions and I didnt think it was worth $40; a few days later I saw it being resold on Facebook marketplace for $35, so clearly the price was lowered again when someone else went to buy it since they were re-selling it for $35 and making a profit! The second time, I went with a friend who bought a $30 sofa and paid for it to reserve it. The store gives you 3 days to pick up the furniture you reserve; I went to get the sofa 2 days later and it wasnt there anymore, it had been sold to someone else despite the fact we had paid for it. Thankfully I still had all the receipts so I was able to get a refund right away, but it was the only day I had a truck available for so my friend was not able to get a sofa for her apartment.I go to this store all the time to buy clothes and household items, but this was my first time buying furniture and I was very disappointed by the carelessness of the employees who do not pay attention to what pieces of funiture you request to buy or do not label the furniture appropriately after you pay for it. Moving furniture is not easy, particularly if you need to rent the appropriate vehicle to transport it and arrange for help, so I found this poor service very disrespectful to the customers who put time and money into planning to get furniture on a given day only to find out its not there anymore.
For an outlet location this store is incredibly nice. Well lit, clean for a bins, calm, and very friendly workers. Bins were even somewhat organized. Great location for furniture finds.
I have always have positive experiences at this goodwill, the staff is friendly and the place is full of stuff. My problem is the other customers, from what I can see it is the same customers that is bullying and pushing others out of the way. My cart was kicked and I was told to move it from a customer. The same customer push an older woman out of the way. There is a need to have someone that takes care of these types of matters. I hate to see that sort of violence.
Has the best collection of Laboutins and Gucci in the area.
While most of the stuff is just rejects from other stores, not all of it is, and some things are treasures those other stores didn’t care for as much as others do.The staff pulling the bins out work much harder than I expected from a thrift store. They deserve more credit. The cashiers are very happy and cheerful.Remember to bring gloves however as some items in those bins can be very gross and have found sharp items buried, such as a paper cutter. While I didn’t find anything for me, I did see some things very valuable to others. It is fun to be here earlier in the day and will come back often. You’ll see people who come here regularly and seem like pros looking for valuables, and even know each other very well. Very different kind of place for Connecticut.
Souped up, run of the mill, overated indoor yard sale. The items were dirty, and unkempt. You are met with a smell reminiscent of a dirty gym locker upon entering the store. The only upside, if there has to be one is the pricing for the furniture pieces. Come prepared to rummage through olympic sized blue hobo bins in search of things ranging from out of date entertainment items to Christmas decorations from decades past. If you actually manage to find something of interest, they have a 3-day hold for purchased items.
This is real store in the area where you could buy items by the pound. Its like one big rummage sale multiple times throughout the day they will bring out bins with fresh items. They close the store briefly and people line up outside to be the first ones inYoull definitely have to dig through a bunch of plastic trinkets and heavy objects but there are good deals to be found. There is also a large selection of clothing.Overall its worth checking out you can make a nice afternoon trip out of it.
Very messy and quite unorganized, but it is an outlet 🤷🏾♀️. I was definitely hoping to find some valuables or pretty much anything worthy of buying, but its pretty much a landfill of unwanted clothing. I will say that this is great to donate to people in other countries!
Love this place, my go to place whenever ... if your a shopper you’ll love it I mean a reallll shopper /like to take your time and search for buried treasure, GW outlet is the best
Its an OUTLET for GOODWILL - The people that work there have always been very nice to me - the place is filled with Goodwill Discards, but thats the idea - Yes, its a mess and its a bit dirty, but wear gloves and go with an open mind and be prepared to dig through alotta junk! Ive found some great stuff here - it just takes time and effort
The idea is great and I did find some things here but like many other reviews said the staff is absolutely horrible. Yelling at everyone. So rude. Place was completely disorganized. You can’t understand any of the announcements on the speaker so many people didn’t know that if you come with someone you still have to stay 6ft apart from them... which how does this even make sense? All caused more ride yelling by employees. Was a mess!
Very crowded and messy. Offended that the cashier couldnt stop playing solitaire on her phone to check us out.
So everytime I venture to this store I have high hopes to find something great. I use to like going to buy books, but have been looking for other goodies now. My biggest issue today is, when I went to check out the girl had me wheel my cart onto this scale on the floor then she told me 12 lbs and then she deducted 2 lbs off for the cart. That cart was more then 2 lbs and I had no where near 10 lbs of clothing items. Next trip I will put stuff in bags before going to register. Very unfair to over charge. I would have asked for a manager if I didnt have an appt to go to.
The negative comments on this place are hilarious. I had a great time. Kinda glad kids aren’t allowed in.
Items in very good condition
Most of the staff was nice, but there was this one employee that ruined the entire experience. My boyfriend was asked to leave due to there being max capacity in the room, he apologized and was heading toward the exit. Right before he got to step outside, someone drops a vase and spills glass in front of the door. He remained inside due to there being glass everywhere and it was not safe to walk out. This employee approached my bf and said that he needed to leave and couldnt wait inside. He explained that he couldnt go outside as a man had just spilled glass all over the ground. She replied Just step over it then. Very unprofessional and rude for no reason.
It was a frenzy! People throwing things from bin to bin. Filthy place, most of it is junk!
Nice sized outlet, great prices. Staff can be a bit rude but so are the customers
Very nice place
I love this place, frequent shopper. You can find such amazing things here, good experiences with all the workers as well. Its a bit chaotic at times but lots of fun and many hidden treasures to be found. Wear heavy gloves for bin sorting though.
Big bins to rummage thru which feels a little gross as a lot of the stuff is dusty or stained but once it goes thru a sanitize cycle it’s good as new. I’ve seen Gucci, Free People and other name brand products as well as cool vintage. The pricing is incredible you could leave with a full cart of clothes for $30. I just feel gross afterwards touching something that’s been thru so many hands especially during covid. But just bring gloves and sanitizer
Fast loading, perfect weight .Professional guys.
Everything was opened and selected before being displayed in the hall
Better off going to Walmart.
I love shopping at Good Will. Every dollar, spent at Good Will helps build strong communities. Good Will provides jobs for people with special needs. Its a great place to work and shop. Never Throw away anything that can be given to Good Will. Good Will can inspire any organization to waste less and give more. Invite them to speak to your school or business. Hold a donation drive, Its so easy. Its so green!
This place was awful. Didn’t allow children in but didn’t post it on the website. The lady who greeted us was rude and snarky. Would not recommend if you have children under the age of 16.
Worst Goowill I have ever been to. I was schocked to how bad it was unkept and unorganized it is. Not one rack in the store to have clothes organized in any way anyone. Everything in bins. Like a rummage yard.
Always find a treasure at this store and it never fails to disappoint. Found this beauty today for only $40 and the young man who worked there was nice enough to help me bring this to out and load it into my truck. Chair is so comfy, can see myself spending hours reading, watching videos and napping.
This place is AWFUL!! The employees are extremely rude and disrespectful. They close the store every hour to “clean” because of COVID but all they do really is chill. Please save yourself some time and go to a regular Goodwill.
Exciting place to hunt for treasures and books for 25 and 50 cents. Customers from every country. Its so much fun and the price is right. Caution: it is easy to get hooked on this experience.
To say its unorganized is an understatement. Everything is just thrown into bins whether its clean or dirty. People literally right next to you wating to take an item out of your hand. The shoes all looked dirty and beyond worn out. I know its a thrift store but it grossed me out i felt itchy the whole time. The workers are really nice but even they looked disgusted.
A pickers paradise! Several rows of raised bins of random stuff to dig through. Clothes, books, toys, and just stuff. Never the same each time I go. Pay by the pound and is well worth it, especially if you find the one perfect treasure (or a cart full)!
Excellent place if you like the experience of digging through huge raised bins to find clothing/items. Pay by the pound. Bring disposable gloves and hand sanitizer for a better experience. Not for everyone, but you can get inexpensive used clothing. Happy Picking!!
Great place for thrifting. Been here at least 10 times and all the employees have always been awesome. The customers arent as rough as Ive seen at other outlets. The more you buy, the more you save.
Staff was helpful and kind. Thank You. Books for twenty five cents. And furniture treasures
If you want to find treasures and are willing to get your hands dirty this place is for you! Dig through huge bins. Pay by the pound. The more pounds. The less it is! The bins are continually being moved out so new ones can be brought in. Dont touch the bins until they say you can when they bring new ones out. Bring with you: wet ones to wipe hands off. They will get dirty. You can also use the bathroom to wash up. They have snack and soda machines. I love it there!!
Best spot to source clothes and random oddities...dont come if you dont have 2-3+ hours to spend. I never leave disappointed or without 20+ pounds of purchased used clothes.
Still try to make a point of coming here once every few weeks. Selection has waned in the past few years.Whenever they bring out a new bin of stuff its kind of like watching livestock being fed!:P
This is the place I have my most fun looking for treasures waiting for me to find. Needed hangers to display clothes for my tag sale. Bingo successfully accomplished!
Giving this place a negative rating would not only be the realistic option, it would be a compliment. A third rate store with fourth rate management at its best.
This is a great location for second-hand treasure hunters. LOVE IT!
I ALWAYS LOVE GOING THERE IS FUN, TO FIND MY BARBIES THERE, I HOPE MY NEXT TRIP THERE I GET TO FIND LOTS OF BARBIES AND MY MONSTER HIGH DOLLS, THE STAFFS ARE VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY. AKA: EVYE.
This place is awful. People were ripping through things trying to find books to resell on Amazon, looking through pockets of clothes, not the reason I think this place was intended for. I would never step foot in there again.
Big warehouse of mostly bins and bins of cloths, some furniture selection. Prices are super low. Beware place can seem alittle on the dirty side so would wash anything bought here for sure. Not the worse goodwill around
Great place for a treasure hunt or to get all what your family need for a small buck, if you can go over your pride and prejudice and pick from an unsorted cart. Also, 25 cents for any golf club is a steal.
Good service but not a great selection.
Excellent shopping for frugal gourmet buyers. Well managed.
Great deals. You pay pennies on the dollar.
A good selection of items in decent condition, and the staff is very helpful
Nice workers. Great for picking up odds and ends.
Horrible set up! The clothes are in bins, just as everything else is. The WORST unorganized goodwill I have EVER stepped foot in!
The best thrift hands down.
Bring a friend or 2, in case you have to use the restrooms. Other people will grab things out of your wagon. There are alot of shady people here. They bring about 10 people with them and will shove you out of the way to get something they want. The employees dont help you at all so dont expect them to. Overall bring water bottles, snacks, gloves, paper towels, black large garbage bags, towel or blanket to cover items in your wagon. Wear tank top and shorts. Overall great prices!
Great place to shop for those that like to hunt for treasures!
An experience. Warehouse environment goods, clothing are in huge rolling bins and you have to dig through them. Not a clean environment. Prices are by the pound
Great prices on used items, great selection.
The store is clean and well managed.
Almost stabbed myself with the knives at the bottom of the Disney VHS bin, good selection, would go back.
Really very cheap. ... But need patience. ..
Loved it and found everything that I wanted
Used things
I dig and pick a lot this was different. It smelled bad and was a mess.
Great store wide selections.
Have very good prices
This location has a lot of random stuff, shoes, and furniture. The last few trips resulted in not finding anything useful.
Goodwill customer service is no good I asked a young man that was outside smoking a cigarette to help me and he straight up ignore me I called the supervisor to complain that he should be no longer working there because he is no good for their company I would never step foot in Goodwill again thanks taurean and I Used to love this store
Love this dumpster diving place
Too dirty and unorganized. Do not go.
Clean and good prices.
If you like to dig around old stuff and mine for the gems, this place is a gold mine for you.
Very busy
Love it. Worth it.
Fun weekend adventures
Great store for antiques
Lots of first class garbage)
People are at their worce.
AWFUL! STAY AWAY!
Always interesting
Good place
You could spend the day here
A mess
Crazy, messy, unorganized
Very good I loved it
It is well ordered
That great place
Clothes, shoes, and bags per lb. Very cheap. You have to be willing to find your treasures.
Great place to find disparate things at nominal prices
Super mess and smell makes you want to puke ..
Bad experience, they treat clients very badly
I like it
