I purchased my golf cart in May 2018 from Eichlers and have always brought my golf cart to them during the winter months to get serviced. My husband went in on Saturday, 4/10 to pick up the golfcart only to find out that our golf cart was stolen a couple of weeks ago (March 24, 2021 to be exact). My husband was upset to say the least because we had not been notified that the cart was stolen. Gary Jr said that he tried to call my husband a couple of times but he didnt leave a message - my husband nor I have had any missed calls from Eichlers. I contacted Gary Sr on 4/12 to discuss the situation and he informed me that there was nothing that they plan to do for us and he suggested that I talk to Gary Jr if I had any further questions. After talking to Gary Jr he wasnt willing to help rectify this situation in any way. I also found out while talking to Gary Jr that the 8ft fencing with barbed wire around the top was cut on the side by the railroad tracks and a total of 4 carts were stolen (police report indicated 2 carts were stolen and 1 was sitting outside the fence). While talking to Gary Jr, I learned that he always leaves golf carts out that are being serviced. I was not aware of this, in fact I have driven by this location many times and I never see the nicer golf carts left sitting out after hours. As a business, it is my understanding that you are liable for the other persons property once you take possession. Please beware of Eichlers if you are planning to leave your golf cart there overnight for any reason. Pictured below is my golf cart that was stolen was Eichlers on March 24, 2021.
