Thanks for looking out for my 10year old son when we came looking for a PS4 with onlyAbout $160 to spend, they only had one PS4 Pro which is a better version of the regular also more expensive. Usually a pawn shop wouldnt sell one for no less than $275 but he sold us the PS4 for $150 out the door. We are forever thankful for what you did for my son that day. He had been let down 3 other times by people not showing up to sell us the PS4 & he handled it like a young man each time so when we went into Southern gold that day we never thought that would happen but it helped show my son you dont always get what you want but if you try sometime you get what you need (love that song😉) but he learned sometimes having patience pays off. We tell lots of people this story just to help promote them 😘 we will always bring our business to S.O.G and hope to buy more from them in the future!

Firearm selection is good but prices are absolute garbage, used firearms for over what you can go and purchase the same thing for brand new. If you are looking to buy guns stay away.

They protect the criminals who sell stolen items for drug money. Thats also the reason they put a number on the item on the notice they mail out saying how long the criminal has to pick up. (They put number so no one knows what item is at mailing address).

I had a great experience at this Hamilton location that will forever make my family a customer. We went in looking for my son a PS4 that he was supposed to get a xmas but we had to save for it so we also had only $150 after (3) separate letgo deals fell through where the people didnt meet us or wouldnt let us see it work we went to the pawn shop but wasnt expecting to be able to buy one from there at $150. Two guys were working the younger man stated they didnt have any PS4 and my son was gonna settle for a Xbox one but wasnt wanting one he just wanted a system by now. The older guy meantime went to the computer and found one he yelled over hey I got one back here $150 out the door. He pulled it out the younger guy says hey thats a PS4 pro we sell though for 250 as he talking to the older guy who had quoted us $150. He says already told her $150 then it was locked but the younger guy helped get it to where we could buy it. While I am thankful for the reward my son got from not losing his cool each time we went to buy this PS4 and now he has a PS4pro that his friends dont have who teased at him when he didnt have one (like kids do) Southern gold will always receive our business from here out & we have 5 kids so we buy used most of the time. We appreciate you keeping your word even when you could have went back on the price bc it was a more valuable than the regular ps4.

Their prices are CRAAAAAAAAZYYY High. Most (used) guns are priced about $100 higher than NEW guns you can buy on gunbroker. Alot of the tools and other stuff are priced TWICE what you can buy the same thing on eBay! They either must not check the prices and have no clue what the stuff is worth or they are seriously price gaulging.

Extremely rude. Acts as though you are bugging him and he has no manners to go with it. I accidently recalled his number while looking for a place to sell my coins and when he said he thought i called earlier i apologized, then he just hangs up the phone in the middle of my appoligey. I would not go there even if i would have got a good deal!

I pawned a mixer musical equipment in November 2016. The grey-headed Man Behind The Desk explain to me that since I was worried about it he would leave it in his office until after 90 days. I went today to get it out of Pawn and it looks like they used to or some kind of tool. Theres white stuff all over the outside of the leather case I had it in I opened it up and all the knobs were off like they had been broke off. Of course I had the pay the loan off first before I could even see it and then I was very unhappy at what I seen. I paid over $20 in interest doesnt that entitle me to safeguarding my equipment also as payment on the loan? Im very displeased with this business and as a matter of fact Im an honorable discharge veteran and I will tell every veteran I know about how unscrupulous they do business. By far the most reasonable pawn shop in Hamilton, they never try to get over on you & they are seemingly honest .. I always get more money than I expect when I sell items there
