Could be more organized. But cool place for ones who love digging. And for a name such as dirt cheap u wouldnt expect some items would be so expensive. Like a microwave for $50 that does not work. But heyy it one place that you can feel free to dig in like animals 🤷‍♀️

Finally this visit we had extremely friendly customer service! I havent been back in quite a while because the last visit was not a good experience!

The store is a crazy mess but I did find some cool treasures and the manager gave me a discount on a really nice chair when it was already marked down. You just have to really dig to find treasure so in between the junk you may find gold 😊

Well the Dirtty is right, but there is nothing Cheap about these battered, dirty, and nasty products! We had one in Memphis that was much cleaner and more organized than this one and the prices were half of what theyre asking for them here!

Its ok we found a few good bargains. But what a mess. Fun to dig through it.

Love this store I have bought so many neat things from this place and paid a 1/3 of the normal price for otherwise expensive items that may be flawed such as a scratch or ding or something that isn’t noticeable at all. You can take the item out of the box to be sure it is all there or what may be broken. The cons are it’s a messy store you have to use an app to know the prices of items and sometimes the app glitches you are taking a chance and you only have 7 days to return items

The building materials side is awesome and very organized. The regular side use to be messy but now it’s been getting much more organized. Awesome deals. I go every week. Senior day is Tuesdays.

Dirty and disorganized but it is a deep discount store so that is expected. Lots of white trash walking around with no masks, including the employees. People of color who were shopping were masked and considerate of distance.

Lots of good stuff but prices on tools and building supplies arent much better than going to a retail store like lowes.

My husband and I shop every location we find in every city we visit or pass through. Some locations are better than others.This location is somewhat organized and we always find good deals when compared to the store prices. I dont use public restrooms so I cant comment on theirs. Folks should keep in mind these stores are a cross between a indoor flea market and a dollar store. LOL. If you have patience and time, youll find great deals.

No order on the shelves or in the inventory. I didnt find any great deals the piles of stuff cramped on the floor and racks were confusing. I prices were not clear. So many broken boxes and open packages so were marked so high then REDUCE was higher than regular retail.

Cheap and dirty is perhaps a better description. Sometimes you will hit the jackpot if you are willing to get dirty and dig but so so many items are broken yet still on shelves that it does get discouraging. Again if you are a treasure hunter and have time and a dusk mask ... go for it!

Ah-f$&#ing-mazing!! The store was much cleaner and more well organized than other locations and I got a large amount of gorgeous porcelain tile for under $20. The chick at the front counter was really nice and had a very relaxed, but competent demeanor. I will be shopping here again. The only thing you should be aware of is There is limited variety (quantity is not an issue!). It isnt like your typical DIY supply store. The selection is generally close-out or discontinued items but they do come from reputable retailers.

Excellent prices, hit and miss on whether or not electrical equipment works. Got a lighting fixture on clearance, got it home and installed but it failed to turn on. Bought a new one, installed it, and was able to get the clearance one functioning in series with the new one so likely the control unit failed on the clearance item even if everything else worked. Merchandise with mechanical workings seem to be fine, but be careful with anything electrical. Ive had other people tell me the same thing, so seems fairly consistent.

Shelves are cluttered some shelves bare aisle are almost blocked .boxes. there is no one to help.

I visited the Hammond location on Thursday morning 12/19. The staff was amazing. Everyone was so helpful you would think they work for commission. I wasnt looking for anything in particular but once I saw the furniture selection I figured Id find my son a few things for his room for Christmas. I fell in love with this glass table/desk but it wasnt what I was looking for. I didnt find anything furniture wise but during my conversation while checking out the cashier informed me they had more things outside. I decided to do a quick glance but nothing caught my eye and as I was leaving Kevin (I think thats his name) walked up and asked if I needed help. I told him no I didnt see anything and he asked what I was looking for. I explained my vision to him and within a few minutes he found my son the perfect combo desk. I dont know how he did it but its like he read my mind. Hes such a great salesman that he could sell water to a fish lol. My experience was exceptional from the moment I set foot on the property. It was like shopping with family. Someone was always there to help and give input. Great job Hammond! I know my son will definitely enjoy his Christmas Surprise. Happy Holidays to all of you and keep up the great work!

Make sure you come here with plenty of time and no goal in mind. Great place to come across cheap things- but you can’t find something specific here. Maybe clothes, but it’s still a hit or miss. Completely worth rummaging through when you do find something!! Having the app is very helpful too because it’s hard to find employees sometimes.

I always love getting lost in the store. the staff has always been willing to help in any way they could. The only downside is how disorganized the place is, but really what else do you expect from a bargain store.

Dirt Cheap is an interesting place. This is one of the rare construction materials stores. Lots of bargains if your ready to shuffle through the debris and shells to find those golden nuggets. Not many staff bet there, but those that are there seem polite and helpful.

Thank you Hammond dirt cheap! Very friendly gentlemen helped me load up my car. They were courteous and helpful. I found a great deal on a solid wood baby crib. Make sure you check the box for all the pieces and damages (the crib had minor scratches on one side from coming out of the packaging ) but seriously a nearly 400.00 crib brand new for 120.00 !

Really enjoyed my last experience at the Dirt Cheap in Hammond Louisiana. Great deals. I tried the location and Slidell Louisiana once and did not find it to be so cheap. Note the stores are very messy and you really have to look for items but if you have the time and dont mind the disarray then theyre worth the trip.

Like other dirt cheap better because neater and the cashier is obnoxious. We had to wait 15 minutes to check out because he was busy I think flirting with the girls he was checking out. It was not the first time we have had issues with the same cashier Harry. He was not very pleasant to us either because they had a Halloween sale fill a tote container for $5. There were no signs saying nothing Halloween was not included in fact the two associates who told us about the sale did not mention it and said all Halloween. So they have Halloween scattered in various areas of the store. One area up near the front we found some Halloween socks and hats and Harry the cashier tells us as we are heading towards checking out that any Halloween items that are from Claires are not included in the sale. I politely told him what the previous associates had told us and went back to look and there were no signs stating certain items not included. Harry said the Claires items were 2.49 each and called the manager who said it was fine and not to worry about it the whole tote $5. But as we were leaving the store I noticed the Claires items had a price of 2.00 which Im guessing was Claires markdown price before they came to dirt cheap. So how are you going to say they are 2.49 each when the tag says they were only $2? But we just wanted to go home so said nothing to Harry. I will stick to Slidell dirt cheap the associates so much nicer.

The store in Hammond Louisiana is a disgrace it’s filthy n half of the aisles are roped off so you can’t shop n if you see something you need in the blocked of area they will not let you have it. Staff is not very friendly. Items just tossed everywhere. Kind of hard to find the items discount due to everything being scattered. They do have pretty good discounts the last time I was there. The cashier didnt know the prices of anything so a little frustrating.

Provides electrical outlets to test items before purchase. Recommend you do. All sales final. Previously opened items, returns, etc. Check for missing parts.

The staff was helpful and I had a good shopping experience here. I got a real bargain on my TV and DVD player and clothes. I will definitely be returning to shop here in the near future.

I love to go to dirt cheap and find very nice comforter sets and sometimes very nice clothing too... the second side of the store is where they sell building materials and you can find some very nice things for your building and remodeling jobs for some very cheap prices... go dirt cheap!

You never know what you may find here. Sometimes there’s nothing, sometimes you find exactly what you were looking for at a dynamite price! I always go here first when I need clothes or quick gifts. I once found an MSRP $30 Disney brand lightsaber at Christmas time for $14, in mint condition! Of course, I’ve also seen some of the messiest shelves in my life here. Like I said, you may gain a lot, but you may also find nothing. Not a lot of help from staff, but the store is kind of “do it yourself.” Definitely worth checking out, even if you’ve been here before!

Got 2 My Pillows for $24 each. You can find fantastic discounts if you dont mind literally digging thru tables & racks. Clothing sizes not very well organized. The home improvement supplies are much more organized.
