My husband went to grab me a brownie earthquake (he had said brownie earthquake blizzard by accident) and instead of the workers correcting him and suggesting the original brownie earthquake, all they told him was that they did not have it. So they gave him the batter brownie blizzard instead. There was maybe 5-7 pieces of brownie in the large size blizzard....that is TERRIBLE. I know people are understaffed right now but the place was not super busy at the time of my husband coming through and they could have easily suggested the regular brownie earthquake that my husband had tried asking for, instead of giving him a large blizzard with VERY little brownie pieces in it. I’ve worked fast food all throughout high school/college and that type of service is inexcusable. You’re on the clock and being paid for your time so do the job right. Pure laziness.

The Blizzards made at this location are close to perfection. Even more importantly, the staff at this store always seems to be friendly and polite. Its a true treat to visit this Dairy Queen.(Things have drastically changed.)Ive patronized this Dairy Queen location since I moved to Hammond 15 years ago. I was always impressed at how the staff was so polite and friendly. After an incident tonight, I will probably never visit this store again. There are many other Dairy Queens nearby...Munster, Griffith and Highland to name a few. Basically, some Blizzards were made incorrectly. This was after the order was repeated and clarified three times. The worst part was the manager called me a liar and the staff stood safely behind their glass windows looking at me and laughing. I was not lying. This is no way to treat a once very loyal customer.

The didn’t have no strawberries for a sundae the ran out of fries and cheese curds they ain’t have no sprite .

Our Dairy Queen was with us for 65 years in East Chicago and left us. Soooooo sad. Love the Misty Misty Floats and Buster Bars. Now i travel to go get them.

DQs chocolate ice cream is super tasty. That said... there seems to be no way to communicate that theyre giving a ridiculous amount of whatever you want in a Blizzard. I have asked multiple times to go easy on the brownie or whatever is in the Blizzard Im ordering and they still dump in so much it seems like its more ingredients than ice cream. Normally getting too much of something is a good thing but cmon... simmer down on the ingredients, especially if I ask you to.

Good ice cream but always closes earlier than what their hrs say. Had a long line last night and they closed in the middle of it and it wasnt even 10. Still had 30 mi mns to close. My business went Baskin Robbins.
