Horrible. They put my card through 3 times in a 6 minute period. For a total of $ 833.13 .I was told it didnt go through. But when I got cash out of atm. To pay for the part my account was 8 hundred plus dollars less than the day before. Went back they said no it did not go through. But when I went to my bank they printed out the paper showing each time it did. Then customer service tells me it will take 3 to 5 days for there banking department to get back to me. I thought I was living in the 1940s or something. I told them that was unacceptable. Wanted a managers phone number .they said no they cant do that . Would not recommend shopping online there or in store using bank card . You will be forever waiting on them to fix the problems they created and getting your money back into your bank account. We have seven cars and one of them always needs something! Auto Zone is our go to place for when we need something quick! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and we are there so often lately, I am greeted like an old friend when I come in.

I purchased a wheel bearing hub from this location earlier this week. After installing the new bearing and taking my car for a test drive, I found out that the bearing I purchased was faulty. I also had a mechanic inspect the install and the part, and he agreed that the bearing was faulty and that I needed a new one.Being that I purchased the bearing only a few days ago, I called about the warranty to see if it would be honored and what was needed for said warranty to exchange the bearing. I was questioned on the phone about how the bearing was installed, which tools were used, and if I had used AutoZone’s tools when replacing the bearing. It was quite rude and accusatory as if I didn’t know what I was doing. The gentleman eventually said that I could exchange the bearing if I brought my receipt in.I brought the bearing in later that afternoon and was helped by a very nice younger gentleman. He was extremely friendly and helpful when trying to get everything sorted out. He did inspect the bearing I brought in and said he heard a clicking sound which definitely shouldn’t be happening. While this gentleman was in the back looking for the new bearing, two older gentlemen walked over to question me and inspect the bearing. I’m assuming one of these gentlemen was the manager and the other was an employee. Anyway, while the oldest gentleman was inspecting the part, he was accusatory and rude asking me how I replaced the bearing, which tools I used, what all had to be done to replace the bearing, etc. I told him I didn’t know there would be a litmus test for trying to exchange a part using a valid warranty for an item I purchased only a few days ago. The other employee also questioned me and implied that I was wrong in needing a new bearing if the problem persisted even after having a mechanic look at it. The same gentleman also questioned me about what I did and what work was performed even asking me if I knew the torque specs for the work that was done. Both of these gentlemen said that the bearing I brought in for exchange looked fine and didn’t make any noise completely contradicting what the younger employee said. The younger employee even reiterated what he said earlier regarding the noise he heard, but was told by the other gentlemen that they didn’t hear anything. Luckily, the younger gentleman assisted me with the exchange at this point.Overall, I would not recommend this AutoZone location after my experience today. I didn’t expect to have to pass a litmus test to honor a warranty on a faulty part that was purchased. The only reason that I did not rate my experience with one star is due to the customer service provided by the younger gentleman who was courteous and helpful.

The owner of this store is a crook! Wouldnt return my lifetime warranty part. Had to go out of town to another az. They had no problem processing. Buyer beware!!

The Hampstead location might have the absolute worst customer service amongst all their locations. I bought a $50 fuel filter from the Owingsmills location for my truck with the help of the sales associate using their part identification database. Turned out to be the wrong filter. I tried to return the part at the Hampstead location with receipt. Who ever was working insisted that the filter had been used due to a smell of diesel and would absolutely not take the part back. The filter had not even come close to diesel fuel. I personally smelled like diesel because I had just removed the OEM one from my truck. He then went on to blame me.I will never step foot inside of that store again.

These people are never helpful or nice they are always rude and do not even follow their own policies!!!!! Even had my receipt and old part to return in their box. They Do not care about you as a customer would rather talk among them selves then help. Seem like you inconveniencing them when you come in. Go across the street to Advance Auto Parts.
I’ve been coming here for awhile and spent a lot of money. I got a radiator hose from them not even 2 months ago, which when you buy it they say it has a warranty..Baha go in there today with my hose that clearly leaks and is already soft so it was a bad hose from the start. They say oh there’s nothing we can do and can’t even replace it?? Never going here again. Goodbye to my business and many others.
