Lowes foods are a little pricey but they have the best products and produce. The store is nice and clean and the staff are nice, friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back there. I am very pleased.
High prices long lines. Even when things are on sale and seem to be a good deal you have to watch your receipt like a hawk. Every time my last few visits at least one item advertised on the shelves as on sale rings up full price. Then you can either way several minutes while they fix it or just take the higher price and go home.
An upscale market with a large variety of goods. Fair prices and friendly staff. Pleasant place to shop.
Love this store! The expanded options for ready meals is amazing and competitive in price. The meat section needs a little better stocking (no 96% lean ground beef) but still great. I love their k-cup coffees too!!!!May be a little more pricey than a neighborhood Walmart but nice selection.
Prices are extraordinarily high. I feel like they are taking advantage of those in the neighborhood who are affluent... just because they have money doesnt mean that you should just take it from them and there are others who live in the neighborhood that may have been inherited to the neighborhood ... they may not be able to afford the prices boo to you Lowes ....your prices are crazy!
Stopped by yesterday (that was my second visit ) to pick up few items and lunch hoped for a fresh made to order salad or chicken dinner. The section with the salads little bins were pick over, for example in the bin were few dry, very dark brown mashroom pieces, couple pieces of broccolis...So made decision to go with the chicken. Dinner was delicious by the way but what I noticed none of the employees working in that section were wearing bonnet /cap as they should. Guys was with baseball caps, which doesnt give enough protection to work in this section.Store is lovely, very clean I didnt have much interaction with employees besides the deli area.I noticed that there is a great selection for gluten free and vegan foods.
Lots of good food, great deals running all the time. Pretty good beer selection, they carry my favorite brewery Legal Remedy. Wish they had more gose beer though
Great local produce and meats, seafood, its almost like a Harris teeter. Love the variety
I like this store, mostly it’s proximity to my abode. After a series of steady visits, I’ve become acutely aware of price markdowns in the meat section and throughout the store, that make shopping (kind of) exciting. I’m not too proud to say I’m on a budget- so, I’d wager 50-70% of the goods are at a higher price point than I can find elsewhere. However, considering big retail(s) continued movement and growth toward monopolization, I’m pleased to have the choice and option of where spend my dollars. I’m a huge fan of the 1/2 price bakery rack! I’ve found things here never seen elsewhere and have become staples to my diet, which is big thumbs up. Lastly, current clearance items should be marked down to actually move out the door. AND store renovations turn the place into a construction work zone late into the evening- heads up!
I love what they did with the place. Makes it fun to shop while they break your pocket book😂😉
Friendly associates, very clean and bright. Their fried chicken dinners are better than Popeyes or Bojangles. The meats and vegetables are top notch fresh.
I love lowes, this one has slightly less variety than the dorchester location however
Always loved the BI-LO that was here, and excited about the new Lowes Food. Great selections, awesome meat market, just awesome!
Like the remodeled storeIt has a lot of things that are important to me and sometimes hard to find.
NOV. 2021 UPDATEI do not know about you, but when I see a string of 5 star reviews ANYWHERE with no details, I think: shills or fake reviews. Just sayin.Well, to avoid some of my complaints about this store, I tried Instacarting it instead. LOVE Instacart. But their prices are high on certain items and the store brand items are just not enough to keep me shopping here.I THINK that my answer is Instacart Express for Publix, Aldi, Target and Earth Fare. You can search for an item...and see who has it in stock. Cool.AND Kroger.com by mail (owns Harris Teeter and Vitacost).I will gladly pay the subscription fee and tips for less germs, less time spent, and less staff atty-tood.**********************************Probably will not go back here, even with the coupons. I am finding that Harris Teeter is a much friendlier store.Labor DAY 2021 Update:Well, prompted by a barrage of coupons in the mail, I revisited this store. Great updates and full shelves. Staff was friendly and helpful, sort of. Seems to depend on who you are, whether you are helped or not. Just ask that long line of customers at the early morning check out....and the (just) one guy who got speedier assistance. Will compare to the WA store, as I can get passive aggressive staffers anywhere in North Charleston for cheaper.*************************I REALLY want to like this store, as it beats my other local alternatives in cleanliness and variety (but with much higher prices). But the makeover seems to be going VERY slowly.I wonder if that staffer at the front desk this weekend who did not look up from her work while answering my question ever heard of Mystery Shoppers?the automated checkout experience quickly deteriorated into a Kafkaesque nightmare - Ha ha ha ha! YASS! And I may never visit again over this. WHO tests this stuff? Yes, self checkout is a nightmare.A couple of items they do not stock make me go to Walmart, of all places: canned lentils and Margaret Holmes greens without all of the extra seasonings and salt. No freshly made taco chips, so then I gotta go to Food Lion. The one highlight of my visits is the Cashier named Shakera. She is ALWAYS great.AND lastly, there are still drug dealers in the parking lot.
Best place ever. So clean, fresh, and absolutely amazing produce and meats.
I understand theres a remodel in progress. That said, we noticed a strange smell in produce, and the selection there was a little more limited than I expected. I probably sound like a really spoiled person for complaining about anything when my circumstances could always be worse. But its said with the intention that honest feedback is helpful to those seeking to make improvements. I would want to know, you know?Anyway, the automated checkout experience quickly deteriorated into a Kafkaesque nightmare. It felt like a high stakes negotiation with a hostile power every time I had to key in a fruit. My son, trying to be helpful, must have bumped the bagging area. A few times.Im not sure how much of it was my fault and how much was down to the sensitivity of the technology, though I did see another shopper who seemed to be having a similar experience. In any case I felt bad for the attendant who was so patient with me as I continued to demonstrate my absolute incompetence with this machine. I was probably too frazzled at this point to remember her name, but I hope shes paid well-- people are always what make every experience, in the end. Well, for me at least.
Great store but to busy to not have every lane open
Great variety and wonderful deli, meat department, beer and coffee bars.
Friendly staff, The butcher hooked me up with some great steaks that were just cut.. WOW, Great guy..
Nice place with quality produce and products, but overpriced on everyday items that should be the same across the board. That being said, they do run good specials sometimes, so keep an eye on their circulars, bargain hunters!
Clean friendly different choices prices comparable to higher end market
A clean store with friendly staff. They had everything I was looking for. This is definitely my favorite grocery store.
I stopped here after work to try out their fried chicken, but they didnt have any and the wait was too long. Im pretty sure its still newish because theyre still doing some cosmetic construction, so Im going to give them the benefit of the doubt and check them out again in a couple of months...
The produce and meat/seafood departments are much improved since Lowes Foods took over this location. I am disappointed with empty shelves and low stock of popular items. The shopping service is okay and I use it at least once a month. A big improvement would be to link the shopping app to the stock in this store and provide notification through the app that groceries are ready. It will be nice once the store is no longer in transition.
Cant wait for them to finish this location THEY HAVE BOARS HEAD MEATS AND CHEESEOH YEAH
It was ok. Saw Thomas Ravenell from southern charm in the store. Nothing special.
So glad that this store is in my neighborhood! The best quality and friendly staff.
Sky high prices. Still many unmarked prices. Downright cheaters: For the 2nd time, they had a price on lunch meat that has a BIG manufacturers price PRINTED ON THE LABEL of $.99, they priced it @$1.29. And if I hadnt checked the receipt, I would have paid $1.29. Think of the hundreds of people that did NOT check their receipt.
This store is getting better and better. They have recently been doing some remodeling, but I think the store will be even better when they are done. The only thing theyre missing is a sushi counter, but Ive assured thats coming soon.
Clean store, friendly and great customer service
Nice store. Will be glad when this pandemic is over so I can really shop. I dont get to pleasure shop during this pandemic. I just go in and only get what I need and right back out. They have many things to offer i just need time to check it out
I have visited twice, weeks apart. Both times there was a nasty smell as soon as I walked in, like a seafood market. Not impressed...loved it when it was a Bi-Lo store. Maybe it will get better...at least the cashier was great!
I visited this place with my sister on 7/3. It is a nice place.
Bought 2 expensive rib eye steaks. Opened and found the bottoms turned down with huge chunks of fat and gristle. No nectarines 4 dried up limes in produce. Never going back
Their rotisserie chicken from Sammys is nasty and dry do not buy it you will be upset.
I love shopping here.
Its starting to get better and look more like a Lowes.
I’m glad that Lowes took over Super Bi-Lo (not some clothes or department store), and we can continue our grocery shopping in a convenient location. Prices have stayed almost the same as at Super Bi-Lo, but more important we see the same staff (friendly and professional). ;) It is very nice that Lowes Foods kept personnel from Super Bi-Lo.
Nice clean store with good selection.
The Tanner Plantation BiLo is now a Lowes Foods. This was what we jokingly called the snooty Bi-Lo as compared to the Goose Creek Bi-Lo, now a Food Lion and thats a whole other review. This store continues the high quality of deli and produce items we knew this location for, all lovely and fresh. Prices seem about the same though I dont think I saw generic store-brand items in many categories. My eggs are Lowes brand. They left the layout mostly the same, so its not hard to find what you need.Get the app so you can use the online coupons; I got a 12-pack of Blue Moon for $11.99 after taking 3 minutes to set up the app with my new Lowes member card. Thats 1990s pricing! The registers were fully manned and moving swiftly, not more than 2 people in proper socially distanced lines, and the employees were smiling (behind their masks), friendly, and helpful. Hope its not just new store smell or the holiday season and the great attitudes and service continue. They dont carry Canadian bacon, but they had cubed ham so my Christmas morning Eggs Benedict casserole will still happen. This store is right on my way home so I think this will be my regular grocery. Especially if they keep making with the beer coupons LOL
I think this store will be really nice when it is finished, but right now it is being refurbished, (I believe it was just bought out from another store,) so I will try it again in a few months and see what it looks like then. Everyone was friendly, it just seemed a little oddly layed out, but if it is like the bi lo that may be why, I did not like shopping at bi lo stores. I dont live near this store I just have wanted to shop at one for quite a while they had pretty good prices and some different selections that publix, Walmart, and a few other stores dont carry. So that was nice. It reminded me a little of Kroger which I miss a lot.
Ordered pickup groceries. Changed out 4 of the things I ordered added extra things didnt give me the discount shown online. Receipt didnt match online one, They blacked out the total and wrote In a new one... Called to fix it. Got transferred 3 times then had to argue with them about it because they didnt believe me. Said they would refund the discount and extra items they added. Never did, truly impressively bad customer service with overpriced food to boot.Update: customer service contacted me and fixed the issue. maybe just bad luck I guess.
Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Love the selection of yogurts and butters
Prices are very high; it wont be a grocery store I frequent.
Every time I go here I am charged the wrong price for something
Clean store and well stocked.
Love Lowes foods. Cant wait for the remodeling to be done.
Dont buy there fried chicken over cooked and dry just plain nasty
Overpriced items, meat on shelf is oxidated and spoiled also over priced, you’re better off driving to Walmart market place and spend that saved money from not buying the overpriced goods and just get gas.
Has a bar which specializes in serving craft beer. Two beer limit.
Theyve upgraded at the deli.
I was very pleased with this store. The produce looked awesome, prices very reasonable, desserts were awesome and the hot deli food was great and especially not too salty. I will be returning to this store.
So excited to have the brand new Lowes Foods grocery store. I cant say enough how clean and friendly everyone is. I will make sure to spread the word on this amazing grocery store!!!Way to go staff for making my shopping experience a one of a kind!😁
Probably the most overwhelming experience from their store hatching. Came in to stop for a card and trying to get past all the every-ten-minutes yelling from the deli/bakery section. Echoed throughout the whole store. If you have sensory issues, bring earplugs.
Even though they arent fully switched to Lowes everyone was very pleasant and helpful in trying to help me locate some foods that Im used to getting at other Lowes.
Good selection of items. The atmosphere is blah, not any different from when Bi-Lo managed it. I asked the bagger to stop putting my bags in the cart because he wasnt gentle about it. He left and came back with his mask around his chin. Overall, I could take it or leave it. Still a Publix fan.
Nice selection of products with a great deli. Average to above average prices.
I absolutely love this store!
I have always love this grocery store from back in the Bilo days. So convenient on my way home. I cant wait for the full Lowes experience. 5 stars because the staff is amazing. Its a little confusing finding things in the ailes because of all the changes. The ONLY thing I miss about Bilo is they no longer carry the Blueberry Frosted Mini Wheats and thats my favorite cereal lol
I tried to get lobster tails from there and they were rotten after I told them about it they didnt take them off the floor or seem to care so they just left a bunch of rotten lobster tails there for sale
Listen their customer service is amazing and the deli OMG WAS THE BEST! I honestly felt like I got the food from someone’s grandma’s house 😂‼️ I was waiting in the self check out lane and the nice lady at the customer counter called me over and she checked me out! It’s the small things that goes along way! The prices on their grocery are very good!
The store wasnt clean nor stocked well.
Staff always appears like they dont want to be there. Except for some. 20 percent pleasant 80 percent mad they have a job.
I went in today around 4:45ish and the customer service was very rude. I went to the deli to get my meats for the kiddos for supper, and the deli people were very rude as well. Also two weeks ago i saw a big manger yelling at a employee for no reason. Completely unacceptable for a franchise that should have great service. Will 100% pay the extra gas money to drive to Summerville Lowes Foods.
It was good. Employees are kind and friendly .
They charged me for an item that they did not put in my bag and when I called to tell the issue she advised she saw it was left out of the bag. Unfocused staff playing at register caused me to be inconvenienced and now I have to be inconvenienced again by going back to the store because they refused to charge it back to my card without coming in. I also ask if she could just mail it to me in a giftcard but said no to that also.
Nice place decent prices
Great store to shop at
Professional kind. Helpful
The employees when it was Bilo was completely terrible when Bilo was bought out by Lowes foods it I was looking forward to a change since I wouldnt have to go to Mount Pleasant anymore to grocery shop. The first week even though the store didnt really look like a Lowes Foods the staff seemed to be better even though they retained some of the staff from the old Bilo. That lasted maybe a week of the wow the staff is great. Now its back to the old Bilo type of staff waiting forever (2-5 mins) in you are in self checkout on an employee to come over as they are all crowded together talking by customer service talking. I dont ever want people to not have a job but Im hoping when Lowes food does the full renovation they replace any old staff so that this store is more in line with the ones Ive been going to since they first started with a nice helpful staff. Until then... what a bummer that I have to go to the one on 41 and I live in tanner plantation.
Love Lowes. Glad to have a nice supermarket near north charleston.
Still remodeling but well stocked and friendly
Its a nice place i love it
Everything is a little pricey and I usually dont go there unless they have something on sale or just to pick something up on the way home
This place is the bomb!
Love the Pot Pie!! Glad to see they kept so much of the last staff they are nice folks!!!
The one in Summerville is much better!
Lots of fresh fruits and veggies!
Very expensive. Not a place I would sho at regularly.
💞 Very friendly, does not have the same offerings as Lowes in Ladson/Summerville but I think theyre working on it.
Me sad I miss the BI-LO
Progressive and care about you. Its our target.
It was okay, price was a bit way too high!
Nice and clean
Very nice
Small selection and the prices are not low
Great selection

FRIENDS FEEDING FRIENDS!!!
Didnt do any shopping went there for a cake and the ladies were amazing. Patrice and the other head decorator were a joy.
I just moved down here a few months ago and didnt know this place existed until now. Easily the best grocery store around. Great smokehouse food section, deli, and even a bar inside! The store just had a nice clean look to it compared to other grocery stores around here
Better much better than Summerville!
