Everyone was great here. I only had the prescription done because I had to leave town soon thereafter, but they were great. The tech was awesome, and Dr. White explained everything in a cool and engaging way. Kudos.

Dr White is fantastic! She tells you everything shes doing and why, explains all the test results, and is friendly and professional. Best eye exam Ive had in 20 years.

NEVER AGAIN! Lazy, cheap hand alignment (axis) caused problems. Had to keep tilting my head to get the correct vision. So-called scratch resistant ($60) coating gets contaminated and wont rinse clear. Its like having chicken grease on your glasses and you cant get it off. $175 down the drain.

I brought my special needs daughter into the walmart vision center for a new eye exam and updated glasses. ALL of the staff and the doctor was exceptional. My daughter was not easy to work with. It probably took over an hour to be able to finish her exam. ALL the staff worked together to get it done, was super helpful and polite. They were GREAT with her!! They even let her pick her own frames, made her feel like a model! No problems with the insurance and such great prices I was able to get her 2 pairs! Great job guys and thank you soo much! Weve been to Oschners vision center in the past but will be switching to walmart vision center from now on.

This office is my go-to for annual vision appointments. I do not have vision insurance and this is the easiest and most cost-effective way to get the prescriptions I need. Dr. White is professional, kind, and caring. I always refer friends to her, and will continue to see her for as long as I live in the GNO area!

I was sold on scratch proof lenses paid the extra money and when I brought them in was told my kisa that they dont cover scratches. I order $800 worth of glasses a year for with and family but will never give Walmart another chance to screw me. Please dont waste your time it money.

Very good experience! Ms. Linda was very friendly and helpful. I was able to buy designer frames, sunglasses and backup glasses for my son at a fraction of the cost of a boutique optical shop. We were very pleased and would definitely purchased glasses here again!

I don’t ever write reviews, it isn’t something that I ever take the time to do even though I read a ton of them. So today I am returning the favor and writing two about two very different optometrist.The first one is the positive one – Dr. Stephanie White is the optometrist at the Vision Center in Elmwood Wal-Mart. She greeted me kindly and went through the photographs of my eye explaining every detail that I didn’t even know one could read from a single photo of an eye. She then stepped through the entire exam fully explaining why and what she was doing the entire time. The magic of it all was that she was able to explain everything to me in the kindest most informative way. After going through the exam, she brought out some trial lens to check the prescription and let me walk around reading and looking at things for a bit to make sure the prescription was correct.Dr. White is by far the kindest, most thorough optometrist I have ever used and I will continue to go back to her so long as I live within driving distance.Oh, and did I mention that the eyeglass exam only cost $69 without insurance? So if they don’t happen to accept your insurance provider, it still won’t break the bank to get your eyes checked. If you are thinking WOW, then we are on the same wavelength. A previous exam at a different optometrist WITH insurance paying for part of it cost double that for my portion.Dr. White is the best, most thorough, professional, and friendly optometrist I have ever been to and will continue going to.

I admit to being very skeptical at first about going to Walmart, but everything was cheaper there with our vision insurance. My husband and I went yearly for 4 years until moving away from New Orleans. Dr. White is extremely thorough, professional, and kind. We always had a great experience.

I wasnt sure what to think about this place since the previous reviews were all either 1 star or 5 and Im not exactly a fan of WalMart. But I decided to give Dr. White a shot and Im so glad I did.We set up appointments for me, my husband and my son all on the same day. First, when I called to make the appointments whomever answered the phone was super friendly and helpful. Then, when we got the day before call that person was also very friendly. On the day of our appointments we were immediately greeted by Ms. Linda (love her!) and she got us started with filling out paperwork. She managed to take her time with us (its sometimes hard getting a 5 year old to cooperate) but also got us through the pre-exam part pretty quickly. Most importantly, she was excellent with our son and even explained a lot of the process and machines to him which is right up his alley. Then we were each examined by Dr. White. Just like Ms. Linda, she took her time with each of us and she was especially kind and patient with our son. Not only did she answer all of our many questions but she also gave me more solid information than I have ever received from an eye doctor. She explained what we needed to be doing in order to preserve our eye sight and she showed us images of our retinas and explained our individual eye health. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgable and truly made us feel like we were important to her.I cant imagine that this was an isolated incident as I paid attention to how she interacted with her next appointment and they greeted each other as if they were old friends.Its not often that I go to the doctor and leave feeling really glad I went but Dr. White and staff achieved just that. Im so glad that Ive found an optometrist for my whole family - we will be returning to Dr. White in the future - without a doubt.

Horrible service, never again

Showed up for my a point mentioned and stood there for 10 minutes before anyone spoke to me, even though there were 3 employees and only one customer. After my eye exam, I was told that they couldnt give me a prescription, for my contacts, until the real dr. Comes in on Tuesday and makes another appointment for me. I still had to pay for my contact exam, and have nothing to show for it.
