I was so excited to find real New Jersey/ New York style bagels. Amazing texture and the cream cheese is fresh and full of flavor. My only complaint is that they will no longer deliver with grub hub. I was placing multiple larger orders weekly with cream cheese for my family and it was extremely convenient to have them delivered . Ive only been able to get to the store once in august and the line was out the door and most of the bagels were gone . Still an amazing product though and the staff was very nice.

After seeing reviews of this place being the best bagel shop in Harrisburg, I wanted to give it a try. The staff was very kind, I had no problem with the staff, but the problems began as I got into my car. The coffee tasted like hot bean water. There was almost no flavor at all. It tasted as if when this pot was made, already used coffee grounds were reused. When I got home to check out my order, I found that my everything bagels were very lightly covered in poppy and sesame seeds. Thats it. I feel like an everything bagel should have everything, but I guess thats not their recipe. The whitefish salad was incredibly bland. It seems like nothing here was properly seasoned. If this truly is the best bagel shop in Harrisburg, then entire area needs to step up its game.

Today I returned to bagel lovers (I’ve already given 5 stars) and I would really like to say I’d give these folk more stars if I could. I picked up my order (under Brian) and while waiting in line there was a rather difficult customer leading the line. This woman was nothing short of a headache and I’d like to commend the gentleman behind the register for keeping his cool. People like that clearly have never worked the industry. You are all greatly appreciated! Thank you (:

Almost $13 for a white fish and lox spread bagel. Thats more expensive than jersey. The kiosk machines are annoying and takes the personality out of the experience. Only reason its not a 1 star is because the bagel was delicious.

Every time I have visited this eatery they never seem to fail me!!! The variety makes it for a hard decision making. No matter what I choose I am always satisfied!! I highly recommend.

Great for takeout. The bagels are big and fluffy, and their tops are crusty -perfectly baked. Today I had the vegetable cream cheese on a plain bagel. The cheese was nice and chunky —with carrots and cucumber, but light on green onions.I’ve never had their coffee, or eaten in, but there are a few tables.The service is ok. Today it seemed as if two people were training two other people. It’s a small store, so don’t expect the assembly line efficiency of Panera.

Closest to New York style bagels. Under new management. They are very nice. Long lines because the food is so good. Get there early and do not be in a rush. You will enjoy quality bagels and a freshly made cup of coffee.

I had 2 different experiences, one *at* Bagel Lovers and one at home with the delicious food. The Black Russian bagels with lox and cream cheese were delicious, well-prepared, and ready when I got there. Unfortunately, when I arrived there were 10 people ahead of me in line (yes, really; I counted) and their procces is set up so anyone who hasnt pre-paid has to wait in the line. All 4 employees were moving quickly and kept things moving, but there was still quite a wait. If you order on a Sunday morning, leave some extra time & be patient and youll be glad you went there.

I love your sandwhiches, but you guys have to do something about the line and pick up orders. Allow customers to pay by phone and have an area on the counter for pick up with our names. The wait times are far to long and i cant come in for lunch anymore like that. So far its been 20 - 30min waits for pre placed orders. : /

Ordered 2 ham egg cheese bagels delivery with grub hub got one ice cold one. Called the girl flat out told me sorry we can’t help you and refused to resend the order or give me refund unless I came for it. I ordered delivery!! Then I asked to speak with manager she said call back and maybe they’ll be available later., she couldn’t and wouldn’t help me.. Grubhub sucked too so I contested charge with MasterCard 23 for 1 bagel., it was not coated in 24kt god. I’ve been a patron of this place 15-+ years thats ends todaySAnd now the owner is saying I was vulgar and threatening to call someone vulgar names in person.. NOT TRUE.. I was told to come in and said if i did I’d stand there and scream until this issue was fixed and I got a refund.. i didn’t order delivery to come there…I have a witness to the conversation maybe instead of making excuses for the new girl that can’t provide customer service and seems to be delusional fire her.

Do not order ahead. I called in my order and when I arrived there was a long line. I approached the counter and inquired about my order. The young gentleman said that my order was ready and had the bag in his hand, but said he didnt know what to do because there was a line. He asked the young lady with tattoos who said I would have to wait in line to pay. I said my sandwiches will be cold by then, but he told me thats the policy. I know they get busy, which is why I called ahead. I love this place and order frequently, but that was ridiculous and I was furious. I have not spoken to a single person that agrees with waiting in line while your food gets cold. What is the point of taking orders over the phone? It will be a while before I go back. That is a policy I think they need to look into.

Not enough.... Ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich with bacon egg and cheese I was left still feeling starving. The bagel was good but the amount of bacon egg and cheese was so small you could barely see it I couldnt even taste the cheese.

When calling to place an order, must have tried 20x and it rang busy... same exact scenario last week... husband went in and they said they were having phone problems and the battery was dead and today I asked when someone finally answered if they were having phone problems and she says well Im talking to you so I guess not... rude... never will get my business again... customer service speaks volumes on the business

This is a cute place! The bagels were nice and fluffy. One thing that impressed me was that they held for the whole week. I like to have bagels for breakfast and usually they go bad after day 2.

Stopped here for a sandwich and a coffee. Quick service, good food and the hazelnut coffee was fresh and hot.

I love this bagel place. Im from california and only dropping by here at this adorable and cozy store. They have all sorts of bagels (including coconut ones) and they were really tasty, full of that dough zing. The coffee was decent. Surprised to know there wasnt Americano in the menu, but they figured out and friendly offered me one. Super friendly people, love the atmosphere here.

Food and Service is outstanding! It is a great local spot. The staff handles the rush of customers like pros. No one feels rushed when ordering. Also the food and coffee is delicious. The coffee is great. The employees are busy because the food is made fresh. Dont be in a hurry. They will take good care of you, but you may have to wait your turn. The café is small-not a good place for groups, but a great place for one or two people to meet for coffee or a light meal.

I would like to give 3.5 because I do like there bagels and homemade cream cheese! But do NOT order anything made with egg. They heat it in the microwave and when we got home the middle of it was grey and brown. See the picture below.If you are looking for just bagels and cream cheese it’s fine for the area!

We just visited this place and the experience was horrible. We ordered 5 breakfast sandwiches, waited 20-30 minutes, which we were not too upset about, to get our food. We realized that there was a sandwich missing and waited 10 more minutes because orders werent coming out all together and we figured it took a little longer to make. After 10 minutes, my husband said something about it and the guy said he will make it. We waited 20 more minutes and I said something. They guy said, you didnt get it? We will make it. Thats when we decided we would just leave. Now, my family is at home enjoying cold sandwiches on rubbery bagels.

Have been coming to Bagel Lovers for decades. Some of the best bagels that Central Pa has to offer. Bacon, Egg, & Cheese on Sun Dried Tomato is one of my favorites.

Applied there but was never called they only care about themselfs and i called and called and no response. I tried the bagels they are good however they feel entitled. They feel you have to be greatful you have them which sucks.

I ordered from Bagel Lovers on 1, 25, 2019. Very simple order plain bagel add butter, meat lovers wrap NO WRAP, and a NO WRAP veggie Wrap add turkey. Upon me receiving my order, I checked it and realized the order was incorrect. I then called into Bagel lovers Cafe to make them aware of the mistakes such as My bagel not being toasted or having butter, No turkey on the wrap, Etc. I return to bagel lovers cafe only to be told I would be recharged for the order I INITIALLY paid for, and told that I need to be more specific next time. I let her know that I was not arguing with her and I just needed the food made correctly. I was also told that I should have brought the food back to prove myself. I pulled out my phone and proceeded to show her the order initially placed that DID specify the specifications of the food. Even after I picked it up the second time, the wrap was still made incorrectly. We have had several issues with this location and the management doesnt care. I am disappointed to know that this facility treats its customers like this and then penalizes them for the mistake on the stores part. I have nothing further to say except, please fix yourselves. The phrase The customer is always right still stands firm in 2019. If I pay for an order, and it is incorrect, I shouldnt be reprimanded on how the staff performs their ability to make food, or lack thereof. We send a lot of business to them, and it will cease as of today. I would hope in reading this, you will take this as an opportunity to learn and develop yourselves into better human beings, if not, youll continue to have unsatisfied customers for the rest of your days on this planet. If this is where the locals eat, I feel bad for them. Price for a bagel with cream cheese and lox was 8 dollars which seemed high. Our counter person was abrasive but the other staff seemed nice.
