Let me say this is the very first place that I have went to about hearing aids. With that said, I did ask around my circle of friends about their hearing aids, where they purchased them, the cost and if they were satisfied. My cousin wears hearing aids and when asked he was genuinely delighted with his he had purchased from Costco. He was happy with their service, the hearing aids themselves and the price. So I called to make an appointment. i explained my situation on the phone and Steve walked me through what I could expect and set up my appointment for me. When I arrived I was tested at length for my hearing loss. Unlike my visit to the VA, the lady at Costco took her time and explained everything to me as we went. I was fitted with a temporary pair that was set up for me. I was told to walk around Costco and see what I thought of the hearing aids. Now these were the Kirkland Signature branded ones. I was told they were manufactured by a well known hearing aid maker and would do the job without a doubt. For comparison sake, I asked if I could try a pair of more expensive ones. She set them up for me and off I go again for another half hour of trying them out. I honestly could not see a difference in the two sets and decided to stay with the Kirkland Signature brand. They ordered them for me and in about 10 days I went in to pick them up. Steve took his time setting the hearing aids up and tested them to verify they were working. The visit took quite some time between the fitting and testing and showing me how to take care of them. When I left Costco, I could hear so much better than I had in years. Steve set up a follow up checkup for about 2 weeks. He said as I get used to them I may want the volume turned up a bit. He was right, when I went back I had him adjust the volume a bit. He had me download an app from Google that I can use to adjust the volume, focus the microphones, and check the battery levels. I can not speak for others out there but I am very happy with my hearing aids and even more happy that I did not spend what some of my friends did on them. I am definitely going back to Costco and the staff here at Harrisburg, PA for my next set.
