We happened upon this diner several months ago by chance and now we literally plan our trips home from Branson around stopping here for breakfast on the way. The food is great and cooked just right, every time. The employees are attentive, courteous, accurate, and speedy. The young man who helped us today was especially great. This place is seriously a hidden gem.

Wait times are insane. It feels like every time I go, the longer. Food is good but isnt worth the huge wait. Went in the other day, was the first person inside. was only accompanied by one other person. We didnt order much. I noticed more people with bigger parties coming after us would get their order before us. At one point pretty much everyone had got their food except us. I do like the large portions. One plate will feed me for 2 days! Prices are pretty good. Main issue is the lack of card support. I noticed a comment from 5 years ago, where their main issue was cards not accepted. The owner responded saying that they were considering getting a reader. Well they didnt. Theres ton of readers in Walmart. Even the smallest 10 dollar square reader, would have done the job. I understand that theres fees that go into cards, but Ive seen other local restaurants who can still accept cards. Some charge a fee for a few cents to make up their lost. Its better than not accepting cards at all. I understand that they have signs stating that they dont accept cards, but come on. As someone who doesnt carry that much cash on me, I really dont like having to go to the bank or find an ATM just to come eat here.

Great food! If you have the time and enjoy a diner atmosphere this worth the stop! Southwest hash browns were outstanding!

We stopped in here after reading reviews and we were not disappointed in the least. Our waitress was kind and very helpful. The food was fresh, hot and very well priced. We did not have to wait long for our order. The dinner itself is really cool, its kinda like those old photos you see from the 50s, it was a neat place to visit. We will definitely stop by again when we roll through here again.

Truly great food. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s delicious every time no matter what you get. I typically go with something like a BLT, a burger or something like that. Normally paired with cheese fries or onion rings and you won’t be disappointed! Make sure to bring cash or checks as they don’t take cards. The perfect breakfast or lunch spot.

Beyond perfection. Service is fast and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, pancakes are as big as the plate, tastes wonderful. Bacon and sausage both were excellent. CHOCOLATE GRAVY on menu was sooo good. Eggs and hash browns were just right. I cant say enough good about the Neighborhood Diner! Highly recommended!!

We order delivery usually a couple times a month and they never disappoint. Food is always delicious and is on time. Love the delivery option since that is so limited in Harrison, AR.

It was the busy lunch crowd, but we didnt mind the wait. Seating is limited, but the staff is friendly. The poor busy waitress forgot my lettus and tomatoe I ordered on my pattie melt, but offered to bring some. I would not recommend the cole slaw as the cabbage was old and the flavor was bland. The fries on the other hand were seasoned and fried to perfection. Sorry no picture of the pattie melt, but it had diced onion not sliced and the burger was OK, but I added the extra seasoning (Cavender Greek) on the table.

The waitress was very pleasant. Small but quaint. Very inexpensive. Had a little wait to get the food, but if youre on vacation, it doesnt really matter.

Meh...Could have been better. RESPONSE- Wait staff was nice but messed up our order (totally wrong) and didnt offer to make it right. Just as we were finishing up she had also messed up the order for the table behind ours. Food was ok but nothing special so you get 3 stars. I can look past the cash only but this should be identified somehow on Google so customers know.

First time here. Stopped I. For a coffee, I was offered flavored creamer and pre packaged utensil to stir my coffee and have a napkin. What outstanding service. It will now be my goto place for breakfast and lunch every single time I am in Harrison. You don’t find customer service like this anymore. 10 stars on customer service.

Walked in about 8 Sunday morning. First time was and recommended. Small put very cozy place. Employees were nice. Orderd breakfast and was taking a really long time and notice two other patrons walked in about 10 minutes after we did. They received their food in 5 minutes and we still didnt have our food.. Didnt like the omelettes. And be prepared to PAY CASH OR CHECK.

We ate breakfast here while we was visiting from Indiana, and it was wonderful & delicious, so if you want home cooked meal I would recommend this place, also very friendly atmosphere. Keep up the good work Neighborhood Diner. See ya next year.

Just awesome! Owner was our server(so that was a blessing) and when we asked for corned beef hash he said “it’s not on the menu, but I can make it special for you.” Now THAT’s service!! Everything we ordered was delicious. If I could give 6 stars, I would. We had the pancakes, eggs, corned beef hash, waffle and hash browns. Delish!

I enjoyed it But the price of ham I received was the same size as a match box

Good quality is excellent the place is clean. Prices are decent. Service is good. However there tends to be an extensive wait time on food at times. there is something called the sharing wall which is a very great idea it is away for the community and the restaurant to give back. it works like this. When a customer comes in they can buy an extra order anyting of their choice from the the menu. Once it is paid for the ticket is placed on what is called the sharing wall.then people in the community that are down on their luck or have a little problems with money sometimes can come in they can get a ticket off of wall get it made for them free of charge. They can sit down and have a drink of their choice and the restaurant supplies the drink and the place to sit and eat a nice meal. For this reason alone I give the restaurant and overall 4 stars.

This is the best, down home place to eat! My husband and I stopped by on our way back to Missouri and were thrilled with the food, prices, and friendly faces. Seriously, this place is a gem if you like real from-scratch country food and want to take a step back in time a little. The fried okra, country fried steak, coleslaw, dinner roll, and apple fried pie were all freshly made and ON POINT! Very cheerful atmosphere... The cook, Sam, was singing a bit in the back XD and our waitress was really friendly. They have a board on the wall of all their regulars from the past and present which I thought was so cool. I wish we had a place like this where we live. Next time we drive through the area we will be stopping in again!

Eggs were over-easy with runny whites instead of over-medium, toast was burnt, hashbrowns were soggy and undercooked, bacon was floppy, and the waitress never came back to check on us after she delivered our food. In fact, she actually left, leaving us without a server at all. The chocolate milk I ordered for my son was $1.99 and the kid cup was only half full. The bread on the club was also burnt. The club was not tastey even without the burnt toast.To the owner: I do not know how to reply to your post. So, I am editing my original post. Your menu has 2 prices for chocolate milk, $1.00 or $1.99, we did order a small and still paid $1.99. There were no ounce measurements listed on the menu. I dont know the waitresss name. All I know is she was blonde, and had her friend who was a hair stylist give her a perm at home and it came out with just the tips of her hair curly. She didnt tell me this. I heard her telling her co-worker from across the restaurant. The cook that burnt all the toast was the man that had long brown hair.New Reply: you ask who our server was that left. This place is great the staff and food are always on par if not better than some of the restaurants here in town . people complain about the wait, but this is a small diner not a mega chain. the wait is definitely worth it . whatever they dont offer on the menu if they have the ingredients for it theyll do their best to make it for you. ill always come here for their breakfast and lunch.The only downfall is its cash or check for payment.

Told the waitress I have bad teeth, would you recommend the chicken fried steak? She said yes. This is the nasty burnt rubber they served me. Paid $21 for my daughter to eat 3 chicken strips and me to eat 2 bites of beans and mash potatoes that were so peppered thats all you could taste. Do not recommend this place.

For only $18 we had a good down home breakfast and the best service. Will definitely be back

This place may seem like a hole in the wall, but I can tell you right now that there isnt a more homey diner around. This place has great food, great staff, and an amazing atmosphere that makes you want to sit and enjoy your time while youre there. Theyre very accommodating and will go out of their way to make sure youre having a great meal and a great time. Would 100% recommend to anyone in the area.

This is the most understated restaurant in Harrison. Food is excellent prepare with the finest ingredients ! Their double burger with 16 ozs of prime beef is mouthwatering. Sides are great as are the pies and gourmet ice cream. On Main Street going to downtown right side of the road. Its not greatest place to look at but what they serve inside is worth the wait. Omg the waitress was the coolest person taking care of others for 3 bucks an hour i ever met. Dang pancakes are gigantic 10 + inches round and three quarters of an inch thick. Smothered potatoes hash browns that I had with chorizo some of the best stuff Ive ever put in my mouth and they have a prepaid meal program there where people can buy a meal put it on the wall for somebody to come in who dont have enough money to eat and they can pick the meal off the wall and they get served it I thought that was really awesome its a cash- only place or check no credit card or debit . so i prepaid for the pancakes as one meal for somebody else and the smothered potatoes for somebody else as well tipped the lady waitress same as my tab i basically $ my tab * 3 and it took care of three people and me. really good price I cant say enough about this place cant wait to go back

Their food and service are good, my only complaints lie with the inconsistency of getting Mickey Mouse pancakes that look like Mickey Mouse one day and the next just one very large pancakes with m&ms, no whipped cream provided.No masking required indoors and staff werent masked either.

I was excited after seeing the reviews on the main google page and the menu seemed like it had decent food but I was incredibly disappointed. My friends and I dined here on Friday March 19th of 2021, and after reading the other reviews that are low, its clear to see that most of our issues were common and management and owners do not handle criticism well. As my friends and I placed our orders, my friend asked a question about the chicken strips (how many) and the answer from the waitress was honestly really rude two or three and most people wouldnt think they need to specify at that point, but as my friend said that they did want that, the waitress replied two or three? we just had this conversation. As a past server myself, it would have been super easy to try and correct this without being rude such as would you like two or three or in the beginning saying you have a choice of either two or three. Past this situation, as we were getting our food, some locals obviously came in as the waitress and the cook talked to them at the bar for a long time. As soon as we got our food we were not checked on for the rest of our time being there until we sort of signaled that we were ready to leave. The waitress just seemed to talk on to the people she knew. I get it, working in a local place before, but you must take time to check on your customers no matter who you know is in there. A checkup would be needed, my friends cottage cheese had a bug in it, her roll after the rest of us tried bites had to definitely be spoiled, Im not sure if like sour dough is supposed to taste like someone used spoiled milk in the whole creation of it but it was awful. My boyfriends Frito chili pie he remarked tasted like school chili...which isnt good. My burger was subpar, very bland, the most taste on it came from the swiss cheese. My friend and I both had fries and it just seemed as if they just grabbed a small handful and called it a side, which is weird from a place that has many reviews talking about large portions. As we were dining I watched the waitress clean the table, a quick wipe down and a rag over the top of the shakers (the sugar one is the one I saw mainly) which is definitely not a good thing to do in the middle of a pandemic, even if it is slowing down it still is happening. As I said in the beginning of my review, I was really disappointed. Also how the owner handles the business on their Facebook page by getting into arguments over peoples politics is ridiculous and is no way you should ever run a business. I wont be back and I wish you luck I suppose in future endeavors.Edit: As I expected, the owner replied and assumed this was a hit piece. Its not. I have no means to place bad reviews on businesses. I rarely review. I just wanted to get my experience of this out there. Every review on every website must be taken seriously by management, staff, and potential customers, thats why I had brought up anything to do with the arguments over facebook. A business owner/management/staff/friend or whoever Josh is, needs to handle bad reviews better instead of calling people liars and trolls. I understand with one comment, a reply has been deleted but that still reserved no right for anyone to be treated that way by anyone representing a business. I have provided my google timeline as I did unfortunately actually dine at your establishment. I also provided those conversations I had discussed.

Have you ever been so impressed with something that you just couldn’t stop talking about it? My wife and I were too busy to get out so decided to make an order for delivery. This is our first time trying the diner. It arrived packaged nicely and delivered with a smile. I didn’t know what to expect but when I saw the food my first impression was WOW! then I ate it and my impression was HOLY COW WOW! This is the BEST food I have ever received! And delivered to my front door! And to top it off their prices are excellent! I have never been so HAPPY about a food purchase in my life! We are now customers for life! If you haven’t tried it you need to! You won’t be disappointed. SIDE NOTES: Extremely fresh produce! The mixed beans, slaw and onion rings were out of this world amazing and so was the burgers we ate. Even the side salad was made with love!

I give 5 stars simply because I always enjoy eating here. The environment is my favorite part. Quaint, small, local, all adds up to my kind of place. And the food is exactly what you came for. I admit I only eat breakfast here. I come looking for a neat and traditional American breakfast and that is exactly what I receive. The wait staff always makes me chuckle and sometimes the other patrons do too. Great place to sit and relax and have a meal.

I am a loyal customer that has been coming to neighborhood diner for many years. That all changed today. Post covid-19 you would expect prices to go up. I bought 2 ranch burgers 2 orders of onion rings and 2 soda’s. Well to make a long story short, we ate the food and enjoyed it like we normally do. I got the bill with 2x13.50, 2x4.50 and 2x1.50. I handed her $30.00 cash, she came back and informed me that it was $45 and change and that their prices had went up. I pulled out a $100 bill paid for it and asked her to tell her boss that he had just lost 2 loyal people that were great customers. I just don’t believe in gouging when times get rough. With all the world in such a tough time who can afford $45 for 2 burgers 2 onion rings and 2 soda’s. Sincerely Let down in Harrison

I stopped here for breakfast the other day and I was pleasantly surprised with the serving size for the price. This restaurant offers a wide variety of homestyle comfort foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff was very inviting and friendly as well. I would definitely come back here.
