I drove down from Harrisburg Pa. to pick up a new bike and was waited on by Dana and Kelly. Dana answered all questions and put my Brooks on. Kelly worked on my gears and got the bike shifting perfectly. My Roubaix is awesome and I will def drive back for a tuneup at some point. Great shop!

Incredible experience at Rocktown!! Im super impressed. Visiting from out of town for a mtb weekend. 1st day of my trip my rear wheel caught a stick and broke a ton of spokes, flatted the tire, bent the derailleur and hanger (it sounded as bad as it was!). I thought it would ruin my trip! I called Rocktown and they said to bring it over. I got there around 4:30pm and was hoping to pick it up early the next day (which would have been impressive enough). Instead the mechanic at Rocktown called and said the bike was ready a couple hours later AND she offered to stay late and keep the shop open for me. I was SO grateful! She was a great mechanic too. Did a fantastic job. I had my bike ALL fixed in under 3 hours. No price gouging either. This kind of service is rare and really special. GREAT bike shop. I rode the bike all over Virginia rocks the next 4 days and it was working perfectly. Thank you Rocktown Bicycles!!

This shop was recommended to me and for good reason! The staff was amazing. They got me setup on a demo bike that I rented and they went above and beyond to make sure I was going to have a great first experience while I was on their bike! They gave me a map and coordinates to the parking lot. I will be back to visit them the next time I am in town.

I feel line Norm walking into Cheers every time I walk into Rocktown Bicycles. We live 45 minutes away, so are not in on a daily or weekly basis, yet every time we come I feel like they are genuinely pleased to see us. This post is long overdue. Been going to rocktown for about a year now, but have been impressed from the first day I walked in. Ive been in many bike shops before, but this is home for me now. Chris, Kelly, and Logan are top notch. Never have to second guess their work or recommendations. Everything comes back to me spot on, quickly, and they are very fair and transparent on pricing. Certainly some of the best mechanics in the area. Outside of that they are just awesome people. They love to talk bikes and can give great tips/recommendations, where I never feel like they are saying things only to sell me on product, but rather to make sure I keep enjoying the ride. I brought my bike to Rocktown in pieces thinking it had broken miserably while out on a ride. A friend picked me up and took me right to Rocktown. Kelly looked at it and diagnosed the issue right away and said it was not broken but needed to be put back together as it had merely had the cassette fall off as well as the springs and cogs. She took the bike in and repaired it for me on the spot as well as diagnosed a couple other challenges and repaired those too.Kelly was awesome and really went out of her way to assist me and get me back on the road. Bike rides great!This is the high quality service Rocktown always gives and why I always bring my bike back to them!

They ripped me off on 50$ I had problem with rear axel, they told me that everything was changed but right now it got even worse. I know what my bike is old.

He was thorough and friendly and asked me a lot of questions so that he could be informed about exactly what kind of rider I am and what kind of needs I had in a bike fit. He is a good listener and gave great customer service. Chris Micheals is the most knowledge sales/fitting bike professional I have ever met. I’ve been riding for 40 years and he rocked it out!!! I got the best bike and fit ever. He recommended shoes they don’t even carry at their store that I bought online as he new the history of some foot problems I was having with shoes that were too narrow. He knew mine spine injury issues and got the correct stem height I need to avoid my problems of the last. Thanks so much Chris!!!

Im from Richmond and was in town for a ride. I kept feeling a funny feeling on climbs and descents and my staff was not able to find the cause before my big ride. Mid-ride the folks at Rocktown diagnosed the problem and let me borrow their wheel to let me finish the ride safely. Smart techs and super friendly to help you get into riding. Considering biking? Shopped multiple bike shops for an entry level mountain bike. Rocktown was by far the most thorough in their guidance and I never felt they were pushing to make the sale. I dont see any way to improve the service they provide.

This is a great store for commuters/students in the area.I bought my commuter bike 9 months ago, and was impressed with the discounts offered for new cyclists. The associates in the store were friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable for someone with little background in cycling. Their prices are very competitive.In my experience, the other bike shops in town are also friendly/knowledgeable, but the customer service at Rocktown Bicycles is unmatched, especially for entry level cyclists.

Staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Very accommodating. I bought my bike here almost a year ago. They have been so helpful in getting more comfortable on it and the advice is top notch. You can sense they care about your experience; just as much as riding themselves!

Really nice, smaller store that deals with mostly Specialized bikes. Great selection, but small enough to be able to compare bikes easily. Staff is very knowledgeable about the bike models and how they compare to models of other brands if youre looking to compare brands too. Shop maintenance prices are displayed on a menu in the small wrenching area, which is cool because the prices are set; you know what youre getting into. Great porch, and they throw BBQs and events on it too which is pretty cool. Theyve got coffee every once in a while too.

During the summer, you could drive by to see a cookout with 30+ people on their porch with roller races going, or come in on a Saturday and have a freshly poured cappuccino from Nomad Mobile Coffee.Beyond all this, they can sell you a bike, and all the equipment necessary to ride. I am new to Harrisonburg, a college student, and stopped by this shop for the first time recently to pick up a new chain for my track bike. I purchased the chain and left, and measured out my chain and marked it at home. I came back a few days later asking to borrow a chain breaker, a tool I do not keep in my dorm. I was told that they do not lend out tools, which surprised me, as many shops I have been in do, however they would happily install my chain for $8. Of course not willing to pay that price, I asked for just the chain to be broken, which was in my pocket, as it was marked, to which they hesitantly agreed for $3, a task which I watched them complete in about 20 seconds. Overall, I was disappointed by this lack of customer service after buying a product from them. I do not imagine I will be coming back.
