I have been a loyal customer of Critchfield for 23 years because they always treated everyone right. I have bragged on them and sent loads of people there. They are not the cheapest around, but the selection and the quality are always top notch, and it still is. The customer service was always top notch until today. The radio I purchased in August apparently had many flaws. The wiring harness that it came with was defective, causing a real pain and delay in figuring it out. Once I got a new harness, come to find out the whole unit is defective and wont even power up. The delay with the harness caused me to inch past the 60 day exchange period. They were super nice on the phone, but basically said tough, go to the manufacturer. This is while the dash on the car I drive every day is half torn apart with wires everywhere. Given the wiring situation I really thought Crutchfield would take care of me being a few days over. I was wrong. After 23 years Im going to go buy my new radio somewhere else.

My Dad and I visited this store on his quest for some new high end audio gear. Tyler gave us an excellent demonstration of B&W and Revel speakers and also Parasound and McIntosh electronics. Knowledgable and friendly help is always appreciated. We got that plus a substantial choice of gear to actually see and hear. Tyler went above and beyond by offering a few suggestions on local restaurants. We went to one of them and it was indeed an excellent place to eat.Having been a Crutchfield customer for many years it was no surprise to find great in-person service as well. This company is full of gear enthusiasts.

The there are great! They even carried different speakers and sub boxes out to my truck so i could see what best fits and helped me to pick out the perfect setup for me! They also installed everything and did a perfect job at doing so. No wires showing and all mounts and connections look very professional!

Extremely helpful sales staff. They are well informed, offer good information about their products. They help you get the right product, not the most expensive.

A few months ago, I purchased a Kenwood unit to replace my Toyotas OEM Bluetooth nav radio. The screen is totally horrible, you cant even read it when the sun shines on it. The features are hard to get to without stopping the car and scrolling through a bunch of options. So I decided to replace the Kenwood with a refurbished Toyota unit, but Crutchfield refused to do the replacement because I hadnt held on to the broken radio. That, even though the replacement unit I have is exactly the same plug and play unit. I will not be back to Crutchfield and I will warn others to stay away. I used to think it was a good company, but the poor quality of the Kenwood and lack of following through with their promised replacement policy has altered my view.

First time in a Crutchfield store. I always remembered their catalogs when I was younger. Ive been on a journey to find the best earbuds for me for working out. I tried several at best buy with no luck. Crutchfield has a different selection of high end brands, some of which you wont find at your typical big box retailers. Not only was the staff extremely nice but they were very knowledgeable and helpful. I tried 3 different pair of earbuds from best buy ( beats pro, bose sport, jabra elites) and none of them seemed to get loud enough for me or stay in my ears well while working out. After seeing the new sony wf-1000xm4 in stock at Crutchfield I ventured there and bought them. Quality was excellent but just didnt get loud enough for me. I was able to return them and after explaining my situation to the Crutchfield staff member, he pointed me towards a brand called Sennheiser whom Ive never heard of. I couldnt be happier. They were just a bit louder than the rest and are great quality. Theyre also compatible with Comply foam ear tips which is a must after having all the other silicone tips fall out eventually. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for audio equipment.

They installed a BOSS Elite touch screen system in my 2007 Dodge Magnum. Great service from initial phone call to final installation. Even spent time with me to explain system. Highly recommended!

Excellent assistance from, Tyler Bare, and another co-worker that I didnt catch his name. We bought a stereo and tried installing it ourselves in tune parking lot. We spent 3 hours, with their assistance trying to install, to no avail. I greatly appreciated their help and will definitely recommend them.

Its the only reliably knowledgeable audio visual store around that you can walk in to and get some great, helpful answers.

I really enjoyed coming to your location and seeing all you have to offer. I had planned on purchasing a TV but when I got there I changed my mind on the TV to a different one. The only concern I have is you dont stock any of the larger sizes in your store, so I have to plan another trip to your store to get the one I need. Good thing is I only live about 30 mins away. I ordered a new gps online for pick up in the store. It was ready within a couple of hours as expected and the service was excellent. I did however hint that I might consider a different model but the sales rep missed an opportunity and didnt offer to show me anything else.As it turns out I am happy with the product I purchased so I wont hold it against him.

We went into the Crutchfield Store in Harrisonburg VA. We were greeted immediately! Old time customer service prevailed. We were led to the area of which we had interest and all questions answered. We left with a Sony TV and it was exactly what we needed. The sales person (I think his name was Pat) never talked down to us or made us feel uninformed with our questions. Crutchfield now has another satisfied customer!!!!!

I did not purchase anything from Crutchfield, but a delivery driver today could of caused a serious accident. A Crutchfield box truck was sitting in the middle of Mcgaheysville Road in Penn Laird, Va today. He made me come to a complete stop on snow covered roads while on a hill. He was out of his vehicle motioning for me to stop. There was a Crutchfield Van in the driveway of the house they were delivering to, which appeared to be stuck. He was trying to help the van out of the driveway but was stopping traffic from both directions. This was extremely unsafe, and could have easily caused a pileup.

Great store to shop at for any electronic your looking for. They have alot of good deals all the time and the staff is absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to help you and find exactly what your looking for. The store is always clean and neat and looks very presentable. Great place to shop and will be returning soon!

I went in here because I have been looking to get new speakers installed in my car, and I have heard so many good things about crutchfield. I walked in and told one of the guys, he then showed me to the speakers, and started explaining that there is no such thing as speakers that wont blow. I am a full time student and went in after my classes, so my brain could not handle the science he was trying to explain to me. I asked if I could test out some of the speakers he had there and he flat out said Im not going to let you blow out my speakers. I do not know where that came from (me being a student maybe?), but from the five minutes I was in there I will not be going back.

As a tech nerd myself, I recognize the level of experience, expertise & ability to answer customer questions in a way that isnt confusing to those who arent up to speed with the latest gadgets & as the daughter of parents who can barely use old school technology, I find it a necessary & endearing quality of a sales associate to recognize what customers require certain ways of learning & interpreting information about the latest. We walked right in knowing what we wanted and the gentlemen had the stereo in hand within 2 min. The JVC 230 stereo was bought for my wife and she loves it ! It has good sound even with the the factory speakers and the touch screen is nice. The installation kit that came with the purchase for free made the in stall easy and clean like it was factory install.

They had everything I needed in stock. Friendly and very helpful staff. It was nice talking to employees that were actually knowledgeable on the products they were selling. Keep up the good work!

Went to Harrisonburg Crutchfield to see TVs in person. Already had a particular model in mind. I usually go to Best Buy but they didnt have it in stock. At the store, associates were nice and made themselves available without being bothersome. Found out that I got an additional discount on the TV I was looking at since I was picking it up on the spot instead of having it delivered. Also included an extended 2 year warranty at no additional cost. Great experience. Will shop TVs here in the future.

I had two speakers replaced in my 2005 Prius. Got so tired of hearing the bad speakers vibrating, finally went in to Crutchfield. From the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted and helped. This is one friendly store! They helped me pick some Infinity speakers and I purchased them and scheduled an installation time. Quick and Easy! Took it in this Friday and got the speakers installed. Now I am driving with such a sweet sound and a smile on my face. Plus all the guys who work at this store are good looking. Just saying :)

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Brandon helped me pick the right stereo for my car, and scheduled the appointment for installation while I was buying the stereo. The process of installation was quick and I am extremely happy with my new stereo and I will definitely return to Crutchfield if/when I need to upgrade the speakers in my car.

Ive used Crutchfield in the past. Always had a fantastic experience! This time upgraded both radio and speakers -- only to find out I had almost no FM radio stations. After several conversations and trouble-shooting, they found the problem was actually my car antenna not working well. They fixed the problem at no charge with a secondary antenna -- which was above-and-beyond in customer service! Highly recommend! And Jon is fantastic to work with as a sales rep! He was calm and cool in handling my frustration, and made the experience positive. Thanks guys! :)

I have been a long time customer of Crutchfield, primarily out of the Harrisonburg store. They are always very friendly and helpful. I have to also give a reach out to the phone sales/support people. Thanks for all your support and advice.

Awful support from the management and installers. They are supposed to have a customer support line, but it was not working due to too many calls. I called the store and spoke with a master installer that convinced me I had the right wiring harness when I knew I didnt. He told me that some of the plugs just dont get used. After he convinced me, I wasted hours of my time on the install only to find out I was right, it was the wrong part, after I called the manufacturer of the harness. When I returned it get the correct one, the manager still questioned me after I had spoken with the man who manufactures them and he told me what I needed. This was my third time exchanging the same part, and management didnt have any sympathy or offer any ways to try and fix the situation. Its a shame too. Ive had good dealings with them in the past, over 8 years ago, but apparently they just dont care about customer satisfaction anymore, which is what I thought Crutchfield was built on.

Excellent customer service from Scott, Chris, Brandon and their colleagues at the Crutchfield location in Harrisonburg, VA. They treated the ancient Jeep Cherokee I took in for a new radio and speakers as though it were a new Cadillac. Quick and expert install. I noticed one small problem on the way home, turned around, and they fixed it on the spot.

I try to be very fair and unbiased in my reviews, but this store just deserves to be bashed. They have a decent selection of products, which is why Ill give them two stars instead of one. But watching me like a hawk as if you think Im going to steal is incredibly rude, condescending, and disappointing. Im a student, and Im dressed like a modern day man. Theyre also incredibly overpriced for no real reason, even on their used products.I went there just to check it out, and potentially buy a Bluetooth adapter for my car if I got a good price, but now I know why this store is always empty and gets no business. First and last time Ill ever go there. Do not recommend.
