This place is clean but I could not find anything I was looking for, they only had 2 cashiers at the time and long lines. my dad bought some stuff and they didnt give us bags because we had to pay for them? the cashier also yelled at my dad for taking there cart when we were expecting bags like most other places. I wouldnt go here again unless they give us free bags next time.

Ridiculously understaffed. Mid morning on a tuesday had at 17 people in line. Stretched over half the length of the store. Watch prices as some deals arent deals.

I cant fault the food or prices. Store clean and well lit. What kept me from scoring higher was the fact I had to give up a cart I had sanitized when my groceries were being rang up. Usually it is not a real issue for me. However, if you have a child that you have appropriately restrained in the cart, it is difficult to undo buckle, transfer to other cart, etc. AND I have no idea of rather the cart has been cleaned, much less sanitized. I know the cart I had been using was not wiped down before the next persons groceries were loaded. I carried child out to vehicle while partner bagged groceries so issue resolved. But surely Im not alone with this concern? What if I had been shopping alone? How do single parents handle this?

Its the only Aldi in Harrisonburg. They should have more than one Aldi in this city given the number of population that includes students from JMU and EMU. Students will always prefer cheaper price at Aldi. This Aldis inventory management is not the best. We love shopping at Aldi and had visited several Aldis in several states. My wife and I both agree that Aldi at Star city in Morgantown, WV is a top class Aldi in management. Harrisonburg Aldi should learn from Morgantown Aldi. Why? 1. Motown Star city Aldis employees take their job seriously and manage the store better than Hburg does. 2. Motown Star city Aldis checkout process is much better than Hburg. At Hburg during busy hours the checkout line is longer.We want to see Hburg Aldi improve and extend their business in this city. Bring more Aldis here. If you dont mind buying store brands, you can definitely save some bucks at Aldi.

I shop at 8 AM, when it’s not busy, to be safe. This morning the employees were all wearing their masks below their nose. In fact, I had to ask the cashier to wear her mask properly. This is unacceptable. We are in a pandemic.

Good prices and variety. The employees stocking were rude. In retail you are not supposed to block the aisles and 3 of them did just that. The one woman acted like we were in her way and not once did they offer to move. She gave us a disgusted expression. Low IQ individuals! Cashier was friendly and they could take lessons from her!

Great values of rotating inventory. You never know what you might find. But be prepared. Have a quarter handy if you want to use a cart (refundable upon return). Also you must bring your own bags. Little inconveniences are offset by good values. Smaller store but worth a visit.

I forgot about this place until they started sending me some emails. Watch the ads. They have some very good deals and lots of options for healthy eating. Im making it a point to go back each week now.

Like to grocery shop here usually the first stop to get a lot of the essentials and some unusual things. Cost is very competitive with other grocery stores especially discount stores. Not a lot of frills, you have to bring your own bags and bag your own groceries. You also need a quarter as a deposit for the grocery cart but you get it back in the end. Store is clean and well stocked.

My family and I love ALDI. We enjoy their brands and the significant savings!

This is a pretty decent place to go and get strange food items at a discount price however everyday food items in some cases are higher than they are at Walmart or Kroger. its also extremely strange that they allow the cashiers to sit down while they work and be rude to the customers. I think it is awesome that you have to bring your own bags its so nice that they dont put out all of that plastic.

The deals in the store are incredible, the cashiers are always very friendly but it can get busy on weekends. The policy of the store you must put a quarter in the slot to get a cart but is returned when you take the cart back, you must take something to put you purchases in or buy bags. Of course you must bag your own groceries. The little inconveniences goes along way when you can save money, at least in my opinion.

Good prices on lots of things. They have there own brands of things that for the most is comparable to the name brand but mostly cheaper. Good meat selection. Bring bags along to put your things in so you dont have to buy them. Aldi is a self bag store and you need a quarter to get a cart to shop with but when you leave you get your quarter back.

They carry a lot of basics at a good price

Watch for higher than shelf prices at the registers. Also many of their brands are sub standard. Frozen and fresh are great. Do not like the cart and bag set up either.

Almost every time theyll have the best price in town on most produce items, especially grapes can almost always be found around $1 lb, super cheap and delicious mangos too. Amazing prices on breads, and excellent quality on their brands of inexpensive snacks, cookies etc. Lowest price in town on milk also. Go there first get what you can in great deals, then pick up the remainder at the bigger chain stores, saves you alot

I do like the smaller quantities of produce. The check out process has been very slow every time. For our house, Aldi cant beat Walmart on price for what we buy. The bagging process is not efficient. You handle your items many times. Try it. It may work for you. Their guacamole is the BEST prepared guacamole I have had.

A good store all around, but the entrance way and floors were dirty and littered. Store was not busy. Only one register open but it went quickly.

Not worth the drive. The prices are more expensive than just going to Wal Mart and its not the same as the one in Staunton. Bathrooms were gross as well. I understand that its smack dab in a college town where they are aiming to make more money off of college kids who have daddys credit card but what about the working class on a budget? Prices shouldnt vary from city to city.

Third time I have been there, was so excited to get aldi, 1st, 2x I didnt rent a cart, and carried groceries around, asking for sale produce they didnt have fast fwd till today, got a cart, brought my bag, walked around thinking this may be okay, gave the cashier my bag, she threw it in the bottom of the cart and tossed groceries on top of it, then proceeded to tell me to take that cart, instead of the one I brought in that had the quarter in it,Have to say, Id rather shop at Walmart!Sorry aldis not impressed

I was excited to finally shop here but ended up being really disappointed.Store and prices were ok. Cashier was horrible, she literally threw all our items back into our cart. She busted open our dish soap and also mixed up our groceries with the customers behind us. Not even an apology for any of it. Very poor customer service.
