Incredibly dirty. The store was understocked... But at this point it seems all of the Walmarts are like that.The only thing they got going for them is that their self checkout area is huge... Everything else is just unsanitary.Also not a fan that they force customers to wear masks, not one other Walmart that Ive been to has this rule. Its usually if youre vaccinated youre allowed to be mask-less however they literally shove a mask at you as you walk in and dont allow you in if you dont have one. That seems ridiculous... If the state doesnt mandate it then why is Walmart of all places?

I needed a nice Brisket and they had 6 to choose from. I went to E. Windsor yesterday and they had 2 that I passed on. Used the self checkout with some other items and the employees I encountered were helpful and friendly. Worth the trip from Bloomfield.

Although the most popular place to get the things you need, I give this a 4 star because of their employees. Some employees work as if they don’t like the work, but that rarely happens. But you know what the good this is? The people here are humble.

1 star for convenience and two for self checkout. Other than that, the two ladies who assist with sending and receiving money NEED more training to gain some customer service skills. The attitude and rudeness is not needed. If you don’t like your job, do us all a favor and QUIT! I had better service in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A busy store due to its great location, right off the bus lines. How they keep its isles so clean and orderly is terrific. If your in a hurry, be patient. Theres bound to be another register opening up soon. Then theres always the self check-out lanes. Do you grocery shopping while your there with the lowest prices around.

Managers sit or stand around while the regular hourly employees get yelled at and disrespected because management takes their sweet time responding to calls and to show up with keys for certain security locked items. It takes 20min alone to figure out who has the key then another 20 to actually get that person to appear with said key. Or how about how the store is always a mess, half the store is never stocked, isles always a mess and crowded, the attitude some of the employees have is crazy to see how some are even employed still, totally understandable to have the attitude or snip at some of the nasty, customers they come across throughout their shift but to just be miserably ride to everyone???

Its walmart. When you need something its not in stock. Treat employees poorly. But its affordable since they exploit everyone from production to sales.

I bought an electronic from this Walmart brought it home and it didn’t work . Looked closer upon the product and the serial number on the box did not match the one on the product . This Walmart needs toStop putting items back on the shelf that people returned. Luckily they let me exchange it for another one but the lady at the customer service desk was giving me a hard time because the serial numbers didn’t match. Even if a box looks unopened Walmart should be opening it and checking it to Make-sure so that was people such as myself don’t end up in these situations. I will never buy electronics from this Walmart again and neither should anybody else.

If you just need one or two things, this Walmart can be great (as long as one of the things you need isnt bread). However, compared to other Walmart stores, the food department is poorly stocked. The chances of you getting a broken cart is high. This Walmart has been referred to as the ghetto Walmart, and I can totally understand why. I choose not to go here unless I will be in and out.

The manager Joel Vasquez is so rude! He gave me an attitude when I could not reach him and went to the store, he lied to me about the hiring process when we filled out an application and got an email about scheduling an interview- he told me they call and to “learn how to read an email” because it’s not an in person interview! Luckily, I printed it out and it WAS AN IN PERSON WHICH IT STATED ON THE EMAIL! He then gave me attitude and stormed out. He needs to be fired, he needs better training

Not enough inventory staff was very unhelpful and items were very unorganized prices were not posted on products

Has several pick up orders. The check in via app did not work seamlessly and is not reliable. But the employees are good enough to check on vehicles waiting in the pick up area and complete the transaction. If only the app and the check-in are reliable, would give 5 stars.. allow more time for any pick up orders at this location

This walmart is a Joke. No management at all. Coming here is a waste of time. I asked for someone in the Deli on a Monday afternoon. The employee said he didnt have anyone to cover deli. I asked for a manager to do it. He said no because they will have to put the machine together and clean it and it would be too much work to get 2 pounds of turkey and also cheese. People dont want to work these days.

Never pick up phone when you dial through associates, this work place is a very latino/latina strict place in my opinion. Any friends ive had be black and apply to this job never even get an email that their application was looked at. We experimented that theory and it was correct.

I am visiting from out of state, went to this local Walmart to pick up some essentials. Store was outrageously busy and out of lots of products. Prepackaged deli wall had about 10 items left. Juice aisle was almost empty. They had about 4 cashiers, with lines reaching the clothes dept behind them. Next time will go find a farther out Walmart.

Usually Im a fan but on our last visit to get a car battery the electronic guide to help select the right battery was broken, I didnt see a book for it, got the wrong battery, had to go back just to learn they dont have the right one in stock. The returns desk was stocked with other returned car batteries.

I need it spray paint but noone from that department was there it was a lady passing by from another department i ask she got me help i was waiting for 8 min already more people came by to get the same noone would come by to help so many employees and no help.. the lady went for help 4 times is sad how they just ignored her... I appreciate her help

I dont go to this Walmart much at all was in the area and figured I would pick the things I need. Ask 1 associate where the pet supplies was and she was very nice and told me exactly where to go

As far as variety its fantastic!! Its great for one stop shopping,from food to pharmacy, automotive, redecorating/paints, some furniture, baby items, crafts,toys and almost anything you might need in one place! Also has a nail salon located inside as well as an eye doctor!! Surprisingly the bathroom is always very clean! The workers are like anyplace else you have your helpful,kind and respectful ones and then you have your downright lazy and rude ones who act like the customer is an inconvenience when asking for assistance. But thats anywhere nowadays sadly.

Absolutely terrible. The Dove body wash was behind a locked case!! An employee walked straight past me when I pushed the button for assistance. Its very sad that soap has to be put under lock and key for fear of theft. Shelves in that general area were barely stocked. I usually avoid this WalMart, but i had an appointment within a reasonable distance and was in need of things. I usually drive to Avon or Bristol just to avoid this chaotic mess!!! Unless you are desperate, go elsewhere. Also, there were no carts available and security everywhere. Uncomfortable and unorganized.

I’m in panic mode to find a cake for my 10 yr old grandson’s BD party 2 days away. The store left a message on my VM & would not answer the phone after 7 tries per their front desk when I called right back. She said the warehouse is out of yellow cake but that I could get chocolate. He does not like chocolate. UNBELIEVABLE.

I have to pay for grocery delivery because i’m disabled and can’t handle the trips outside. walmart is one of the only places i can afford. how is it that there has not been one single delivery slot in almost 3 weeks????? i pay for walmart plus and i can’t even use it because you people don’t have any delivery slots. fix it

Had everything my son and I needed. Was horrible before Covid, with food, clothing and all other product on the floor. A lot of tools were missing from every tool box there at one time. Much better. Employees and customers more respectful.

Can be cleaner more organized sometimes cant find certain things I was in there shopping for decorating my kitchen but did not have tablecloths that can match for a set the mittens tablecloth

First of all I called and no one answered the phone for over three minutes it just rang repeatedly then I was given attitude as soon as I did get an answer I asked if I can get transferred to the toy department as I was transferred the phone once again continued to ring no one answered they picked up the phone and hung up it’s sad I’m willing to drive 30 minutes out to purchase an item and I can’t even get reliable customer service Walmart has lost its creditability! They should remove their opening statement saying their employees are working hard more like avoiding as best as they can to do a simple task I didn’t ask for much but apparently these employees are who represent this store . Sad

This Walmart is always packed with people and they run out of things so quickly. Recommend coming here if you need something quick. If you want to actually shop, you are better off going to another Walmart.

Never any carts, theyre always out of stuff. Now lately theres long lines in every checkout and self checkout as well.

This is not my Walmart but Im so disappointed I remember when they first open up and then expand it was clean so well organized but this time the store is dirty I was at the customer service desk and I noticed a grocery cart full of food in it I hope they didnt put any of it back on the shelf what a waste I know Walmart is a wealthy company but still what a waste of food and why are they checking our receipts when we leave the store I didnt know this was BJs or Sams club.

Do not buy batteries here, you will loose your money.Poor customer service, store manager does not understand the basic of being a manager because he never got his HIGHT SCHOOL DIPLOMA end working for dirty company like walmart.

Usually I don’t go to the Walmart because it’s crowded and not organized but today it was really organized. It wasn’t too crowded, granted I went on a Friday morning. They had everything I wanted. Although the employee who helped me in the tech section didn’t say anything when I asked him to help and when I checked out there. I found that a little odd. But the store had a much better appearance than it has in the past!

Parking lot was full of trash, people experiencing homelessness were asking for money at entrances, selection of merchandise inside was fair, swim was sold out in early August. Lots of staff but only 1 non self check out register open.

This place is terrible. There are 10000 people in this store and there are only 2 checkout lanes open. Its sad when someone come here they have to stand in line for 20-25 min to checkout, weather it be self checkout or not. Suggestion... if you want in and out DO NOT COME HERE!!!

Items are often out of stack. Staff move slowly to reshelf items. they mostly chit chat with each other. so many workers at the self checkout point too with hardly anyone in the aisle helping shoppers.

They just had an electrical fire but were still staying open with friendly service as well. Definitely a great place to shop with friendly service

Polite employees, clean and had everything I was looking for.

The store shelves where practically empty. I was tgere an hour before close and there was only self check out an the lines where very long. Overall employees where helpful but for such a high volume store you would think management would keep up on keepi the flow of customers at a quicker pace to not have as many people in the store at a time to keep up with covid and to keep customers safer.

I ordered a photo from here, and I got the email saying it was ready, but it couldnt be found! I also went to buy some totes that the website said were in-store pickup only, and they didnt have any of them in-store! It actually was a pretty horrible experience. All the customers were getting helped but me. And when I asked the attendant Kedwin to get managerial assistance, he said he couldnt because it was Saturday. People were in the electronic area wearing no masks, just listening to music on the display devices. It was a despicable shopping experience.

Walmart offers really nice items that are affordable. The Cromwell location is neatly arranged. The staff are friendly and available to assist.

Im new to the area. I just moved to Hartford the Capital of Connecticut. Believe me it should be a big deal but its not. So I went to one of its largest Wal Marts on Flatbush one night after work, so this would be after 9:30 p.m. It was very crowded not one register open, not one. All of the self checkouts open and the lead cashiers with the yellow vests doing what they do and yes it was crowded, which I did not like. I had to wait to check myself out. I ended up on the end by the door there was a young, black kid standing by. I complete my sale prepare to leave and he asks me for my receipt. Im like excuse me? Who does that right at the registers? I said did you not just see me check myself out he watched me the whole time. Hes just doing his job. First off I hadnt noticed he was checking everyone. Second why is he at the register and not at the door like every other Wal Mart I frequent? And they only check big ticket items not every customer walking out of the door? Im sure they have the security in the back watching as well as the cameras rolling. Im tired, just got off work. I dont want to go in there deal with a store full of people then cant find one register open. I have to go to work again for no pay to pay them to check myself out? They should have a couple of registers open like some of the other Wal Marts. They have all those yellow vests standing around put them on the registers!! Nice big store.. Didnt have what I needed, but I still walked out spending $80+ Uughhh!!! I guess Im just spoiled. Im from New Haven, moved to Middletown love the Wal Mart in Wallingford and Cromwell. I have to find one in this area that fits my needs.
