This amazing restaurant has the best staff..we were traveling and my little 4 yr old needed to pee so bad and the gas station near by was refusing its patrons the use of a bathroom. Normally restrooms at restaurants are reserved for patrons but the amazing staff saw tge panic in my face while I held my little girls hand . My little girl holding herself because of having to pee so bad that when I asked if she could use the bathroom they gladly said yes. In a world where its so easy not to care this amazing staff chose to care.
Been eating there for about 40 years. Fast service, good food. More variety on the menu than most diners.
Always my favorite late night or lunchtime stop. Beat mozzarella sticks in the state, no joke. Also, get the potato salad over the french fries. You wont be disappointed.

Food was good, i was asked if i wanted cakes or french toast with my $8.95 breakfast i said french toast. I finish eating and get the invoice and my charge is 15 for the plate i ordered. Not sure If am going back, food was ok but not 15 ok. Lol
Called to make an order and was surprised by the gentleman who picked up. I simply asked wether the corn was sweet corn and the response was “I don’t know I haven’t ate it” seeing there is clearly no priority in customer service I just hung the phone up. Been coming here for years and one call lost my business.
Wonderful experience! How Sunday breakfast should be. Treated like we were regulars. Warm, efficient service. Good food! Conversation with staff fun and friendly. Great start to our day!
Went here with a friend to celebrate Thanksgiving. They offered a nice variety of specials, all including a soup or salad, vegetable, mashed or french fries and pie for dessert. The entree was good and filled the void. The meals were reasonably priced, not sure I would return.
I’ve been going past this place for 16 years. Just stopped in for the first and probably last time today. Food was ok and to me the prices for breakfast seemed reasonable. They had a special going for $7.95. Food was good, service was bizarre. A whole resturant to seat people in and all of us were crammed in 2 different corners. Waitress was overly attentive. The staff were using foul language while talking very loudly to eachother (fine by me but worth noting). Mr. Goldroc up front is a riot and a man with wisdom well beyond his years. 5 AND A HIGH CHAIR SIR! It’s very average here which is ok just not worth stopping here again to me atleast. Easy on easy off.

It was okay :( I ordered a waffle to go and when I picked it up it was like a wet sponge. I ate it since I paid for it but it could have been better since I paid $16 for a breakfast meal.

Food was sub-par.They are definitely cutting corners. Be mindful on your bill because the round up each item to the nearest dollar than what is stated on the menu and thats before tax which is pretty disingenuous. Either update your menu or charge how your menu states.

Awful! Had to tell the waitress to keep her mask on during a global pandemic.Reuben was fatty. Lettuce in salad was brown. Best part? Over $50 for diner food that was disgusting.

This place is an old fashion greasy spoon. It has a wide spectrum of choices on its scrumptious menu. Breakfast is served all day. They also have comfort classics like meat loaf to grilled cheese to burgers to fried chicken.The prices are decent. Enjoy!!
Wish I could do zero. Needed to use the bathroom on my 2 hour trip home from work, asked for a large hot coffee. Charged $5.31 on my card. Will never go back

I just ordered 54 dollars of food and to come home and the manager not taking the order the right way over phone . I called to let them know what I wanted and he argued with me over the phone . I am a manager myself and you never argue with a customer . I drove 30 mins to go there cuz I been going there for years and to come home and see my order is not right Is unacceptable. I called and he hung up on me very unprofessional as a manager to do to a customer . I am calling and he is not answering the phone . I want someone from corporate to contact me ASAP or I will go above and beyond to have this fixed . That is not a good look to your business to have a manager like that working there .

One of the finest full menu diners I have ever eaten at. My understanding is that dinner has been open twenty -seven years strong. I perhaps was eating there year one. To my surprise, though the foods remains second to none my recent visit witnessed a marked menu items increase on staples that are normally more price friendly, thus my now reduction to just four stars.
The portion sizes are massive, and their strawberry shortcake is on point.

Its a diner... Just not one of the best. It is convenient, right off 84. Since was fine. Food was edible. Nothing horrible, but honestly, there are much better options on 84, so only go if nothing else is open.

The food was excellent. The steak sandwich was very good and the French fries were some of the best Ive ever had. They were so good, I got an extra order. They were fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. For a lack of a better way to say it, they melted in your mouth. They had a good selection of desserts as well. I would definitely eat there again😎
For a diner, its great. Good desserts. 24 hour open. Only clean place to eat after 10 p.m. in West Hartford. Very convenient location just off I-84.

Awesome stop on the way to Atlantic City! Service fantastic- waitress and host. Food was massive and tasty. Hash browns were tender inside with crispy bits outside. Fantastic!

Most of the time this place is amazing. Today it was less then stellar. Omelet didnt taste right. Potatoes were perfect. French toast was good, daughter had that. So the eggs had a funny taste, that is all.

This is definitely food thats best eaten when drunk but the staff are amazing. Its much better than Dennys. See my Dennys review for more information. Basically Its much less likely that youre going to get into a drunken brawl at the Gold Roc. Also, its a lot cleaner than Dennys.

Food isnt the best, but its also not bad. The atmosphere is nice on a late night or early morning or afternoon. Plus its 24hrs. Cant beat that. Lets not forget you can get a drink until like midnight!

The worst breakfast Ive had. Spent $27 on food that didnt have flavor. My omelette was dry and flavorless. My french toast had no cinnamon on it. As I told the waitress, they told me it was because theyre not allowed to put cinnamon on it since customers may have allergies. To every breakfast place Ive been to cinnamon is always put on my french toast. I highly would not recommend this place.
The restaurant and atmosphere was very interesting, and they had a HUGE menu! Definitely a classic style diner experience with all nostalgic posters of 40-70s. Waitress was very nice, funny, and super friendly! I ordered an egg cream, which was absolutely amazing, and my girlfriend ordered the rustler burger, which was again, amazing! Unfortunately we also ordered the chicken quesadilla as an app, and while the cheese and bread was good, the chicken was rather unappetizing. I ordered the Monte Cristoe and was actually quite disappointed by it; French toast part was good but the turkey tasted funny as did the ham. Overall decent atmosphere,a little bit expensive, and the food is alright. Worth nothing we came down the dead time.
A decent dinner, especially if you are looking to eat at an odd hour. It has a fine quality and quantity and a fair variety, worth a visit, especially if everything else is closed. The prices are nothing to write home about though and with everything else being only alright... I wouldnt go out of my way to visit.

The service is always friendly, but not always quick. The food ranges from good to very good, and you will always get a good meal here no matter what you order. They have some great desserts here as well. Pricing is reasonable, cleanliness is about average for a diner.
Great food. If youre looking for simple food. Burgers and fries and dont want to spend a lot while at the casino. This place is perfect.

My cup was dirty, it had food stains on both the inside and outside of the cup. Walked in and the hostess was quite rude to my friend and I, same for when we were settling our bill. I said thank you have a good night and she remained completely silent (I know she heard me, we were standing pretty close and I have a loud voice). The food was pretty good. I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with a side of fries. I would rate the meal 3/5 stars and the diner being open 24hours is a plus but probably wouldnt go back.
