Great company for any garage door needs. My parents have used them for years, so when our automatic garage door stopped working in my own home, I knew who to call. Called first thing on a Thursday morning after the garage door opener stopped working the night before. They came out the same day and repaired the issue within a couple hours. Very reasonable pricing and reliable company. Will absolutely use them for our future needs.

Overhead Door Company of Hartford did an excellent job for us when we renovated our house and garage.Glenn Wandy was great in helping us select the right door material and configuration. He wrote up quotes for a number of high-end wood doors as well as more standard metal doors.The installation team did a pretty good job putting in the door. There were some issues, but the follow-up service handled them promptly and carefully.Great company. BTW, there appears to be many similarly named companies out there. Be sure to use these guys:)

What an incredible experience!! I contacted Overhead Door because I have used them in business before. Glenn gave me an accurate and competitive price on my home garage door with new tracks and an opener. He ordered the door I chose, contacted me when it came in and were at my home the day and time they promised. The work was done quickly and professionally. He followed up with me to ensure I was satisfied and he even took care of something that was my fault within the estimate that was originally given.I HIGHLY recommend Overhead Door of Hartford!!!!!

My torsion spring broke last night. I called at 7:30am this morning, and by 10:00am the spring was replaced and my door was as good as new, AMAZING! I dont write many reviews, only when I get excellent service (which is not often). Today was great! The tech was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I was so enthused about the job I texted about it to some friends. Here are their responses; 1) Best in the business. 2) Yup best there is. I always use them. Just had installed a Liftmaster garage door opener to replace a 30 year old Genie unit. I have the same Liftmaster on the other garage door and have had it for 5 years with no problems! I expect this unit to function just as well! Thanks to Troy (salesman), and Miguel (installer) for their work. One note, you might have to buy a 3 prong electric extension cord if the outlet for the opener is not nearby.

I have been calling Overhead door since Wednesday first someone answered and I was hing up on.I called back and left a voice mail and no one has bothered to return my call.I have done business with this company in the past and was pleased with the service. Im not sure what the issue is with returning calls, but Im going to take my business else where.

Mike the Service Manager is a very rude person. Do not do business with this company very unprofessional.. Very expensive did not want to quote us to fix the overhead door but wanted to send me a quote for a new door which we did not ask for.

Very satisfied! They installed a double-wide door for us 14 years ago. One of the overhead springs broke just last month (14 yrs, not bad). They showed up when they said they would, the repair tech was done in 90 minutes, as he said he would. Door is now quiet & working like brand new. Very, very satisfied!

Glenn Wandy came out and was very personable. The door measurements went well and I made a door selection. Two weeks and three phone calls later, I still have not received an estimate. I am very surprised and disappointed.

I had contacted OHD Hartford to get a quote for some door replacement. I only had a certain amount of time to complete the job and this was made clear before Glenn even came out to quote me. He told me that would be no problem. He sent over the quote and I said everything looked great and asked how soon the work could be started. Three weeks, five emails, and 4 phone calls later, and I am still waiting to hear back. Needless to say I will not be using this company or recommending them to anyone else. The woman in the office who answers the phone was rude as well and got mad when I called to ask why I hadnt gotten a call back yet. Their lack of professionalism and customer service skills is appalling. I would highly recommend using any company besides this one.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ! I was told over a week ago, someone would call today to set up a window of time to come out for a repair. When no one contacted me by 10:45 am to give me a time, I called them.Supposedly, they had never heard of me! What?!!The person that answered, even suggested that I called the wrong company.Hmmm.... If I had the wrong company, then why would I be calling the same number I used over a week ago ?RESOLUTION: Precision Garage Door West Hartford was called at 11:45 am. Repair person will be at my house by 2 pm !LESSON LEARNED: Do your research before having any repairs made to your home. Just because a company has been around for a while, it doesnt necessarily mean they are reliable.
