We used Deitch Energy to replace our water heater. Bruce and Michael were very responsive and professional. Bruce came out for a quote the same day I called. I felt they were fairly priced and they did a great job. On the day of the install there was a problem with the unit they received from the manufacturer. They were able to get a new unit within an hour and they stayed late and got the job done so we did not go without hot water. I will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks guys!
This company went above and beyond to not only help me get an oil delivery fast, first thing the following morning, but their prices are also very competitive. Received promt first morning delivery before 7 am, which we desperately needed. Later that same day, they followed up with a phone call to confirm everything was Ok and up and running, because we had been so low on oil. Cant tell you how appreciative I am of their first class service and genuine compassionate customer attention. Couldnt recommend them enough!

They received over $10,000.00 to install a new boiler system. Prior to installation a deposit was required and I informed the owners that I would have to pay the deposit in installments. The first installment was paid before the job was done. He said he would work with me to pay the deposits. The work was done in August I had to call repeatedly to have them remove the old furnace from my front yard. I also informed the owner that all correspondence and calls should be made to me since I am the party responsible for payments. At no point in time did anyone from this company call or contact me regarding an issue with payment of my deposit. Bruce the owner sent emails to my husband and never contacted me even though he had all my contact information. He served me papers for $1600.00 after receiving a second payment leaving a balance of lest than $900.00. They threatened to pull the permits and cancel the warranty. Again I never received a call or email they only communicated with my husband via his email account that was locked. Take your business to an ethical company who will not try to strong arm you and threaten you after an agreement is made.
These guys are reliable, fast, and responsive. Easy transaction every time.Edit after working with these folks for the last two years. They are reliable and fast, but the customer service is really hit or miss.They routinely fail to communicate the cost of a service before charging - once it happened even after an email, a voicemail, and an answered telephone call about that exact question. I am not even talking about cost of service before work, as I understand that depends on the work. This is about telling me how much they are going to charge me for the service they already performed before they take it from my bank account.The woman I talked to earlier today was blatantly condescending about solving the year-long problem of preventing unexpected charges. They really could have solved the issue so much sooner! What gives?This seems like the last oil company in Hartford, so I encourage you to support it. However, be prepared for a lack of communication and the occasional jerky employee.
Im surprised by the negative reviews as I have never had anything but good experiences getting oil delivered from Deitch. A few years ago when oil prices were more than double what they are now, they called me at the beginning of the season when there was a momentary drop in price to tell me I should take advantage of the lower cost. Generally I go through the website and oil comes in a few days. No issues, and in the snow the driver tries not to disturb the untouched snow on my lawn! No one else does that!
They were hired through a third party to service a furnace in a house I was selling. Work was done when I wasnt home and supposedly they sent an invoice. I did not receive or see the invoice.The house closed. The owner called the houses co-owner demanding payment. According to her, since they were hired by a third party she had no idea who was calling. The caller was so rude to her she refused to give him my phone number instead giving my email address where an invoice could be forwarded. He told her his lawyer would be sending it.He then called the attorney who worked on the house closing, angrily threatening to lien the house. The attorney was of course confused and got me on the phone. I provided my credit card number to the caller on the spot. And I think they charged me a late fee.The whole thing was a misunderstanding. I never got the invoice nor had I ever heard of the company. It.may have been mailed and overlooked during the move. Especially since I travel extensively for business. Things get lost sometimes. However, if they react to such a situation with such anger, I wonder what would happen if there were a true disagreement where the customer held their ground.There are a ton of companies who do this kind of work. Find someone else.
It was 89 degrees Sat of memorial day weekend. My air conditional was not cooling. I called early Sat and by 11:00 I had 2 service men out to fix the unit. A pvc joint had cracked and there was no drainage.(leaking in my ceiling) Thanks for taking care of the problem. Not sure if any other company would have given me such good service on a holiday weekend and have always fixed what ever problems I have had with my heating and cooling over the years. Thanks for the support and service.

IF YOURE A CO-OP MEMBER STEER CLEARSeemed good at first but then they apparently didnt receive our payment for one months oil bill. Sent the bill on what I thought was the last day payment was due and I paid it the very same day. No mention of shutting down our oil delivery mind you. Of the dozen emails Ive sent Ive gotten 1 back. Then one day we wake up. No heat. Turns out they messed up their billing and didnt have a record of our payment so they didnt deliver anything and we didnt know until one day our heat stopped working in 30 degree weather. I called. They sent someone out and refilled our tank. Restarted our furnace. Theres one day of interrupting my work. No apology but whatever. Things happen. Ok so they made a mistake. An inconvience but not the worst thing.Then the hot water didnt work the next day. Called again. Turns out the fact they didnt deliver oil then flooded our tank meant the filter got clogged (100% their fault). They sent two people out bc the first one didnt have the right part then turns out that person was wrong about what the problem was in the first place. So I wasted most of my work day again watching them try to sort out the mistake they made.Then I thought given the circumstances it was reasonable to ask for some money off the bill. Were co-op members which means we get a lower rate by nature of being part of the co-op. One of the owners, Mike, flatly denied at first saying he doesnt make any money on our oil anyway (not my problem) then finally agreed to take some off. At first he tried to tell me he would give us the service for free. We paid at least $150 (dont remember the exact amount) for a service contract that covers anything we could possibly need let alone a fix for a mistake they made! So after he agreed to take some off I mistakenly forgot to record the amount which was negligible, maybe $30, but still something. Some acknowledgement of their mistake. So I called back to clarify what the amount was. The other owner, Bruce, answered and just said yeah were not doing that after his brother the other owner had already agreed. He said it was a minor inconvenience to not have heat and/or hot water for two days and we didnt deserve any compensation. Because were part of the co-op theyre not treating us the same as other customers. If they actually do treat their other customers this way its a shame. Bad business. Bad billing and record keeping. Bad customer service. Were going to live in West Hartford for the foreseeable future and Ill be sure to tell everyone I know to steer clear.

This people in this company are very rude; the man and the woman have no respect. They over charge me about 2 months ago and they refuse to refund my money instead the give me a credit to make me order from them again when I didnt want to deal with this Comp again. They give me some stupid excuse. I will not use this Comp again and WILL NOT RECOMEND
Bruce is always there when you need him. When our boiler had issues he got someone out that day to look without having to be asked.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. This is the SECOND time Ive been left with NO oil because of a driver not doing his job. First time they called the wrong number and I chased them down my street. I found out THEY had the wrong number AND wouldnt drop the oil because I didnt answer the phone. Ridiculous.
