What a cute little shop! Everyone was super friendly, and I found this place to be really unique with the beautiful flavor listings and outside of the shop. I enjoyed my scoops of black raspberry chip and chocolate. The waffle cone wasn’t bad, though I’ve had better, and I always enjoy ice cream made by Big Dipper. Definitely worth a visit when in the area!

I’ve been following Capital Ice Cream for a while on social and just recently had the opportunity to order an ice cream cake for my step-daughter’s birthday. From ordering to pick up, the whole experience was flawless and the end result was exactly what my step-daughter asked for. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the ice cream and maybe a milkshake.

Great little spot tucked away in Hartfords capital area. Went with my wife on a scorching hot August day. I got the Oreo ice cream and she got the birthday cake ice cream. Both were creamy and delicious. They both also had a good amount of mix ins but not too much where you cant taste the base. Everyone inside was super friendly. They had a cute little sitting area outside where we enjoyed our treats. Overall a great experience.

It was a delightful little shop down on Capital. There was a huge selection of cones and ice cream flavors. All of the staff was amazing, greeted us like we were the only customers there, talked with the kids and generally left us all with a feeling of coming home. I highly recommended visiting and supporting this local ice cream shop!

What a cute ice cream shop located in Hartford CT. Various unique flavors along with the classics... I followed them on instagram, Im a sucker for local owned businesses. And this one happens to be woman owned!!!! The shop is nicely decorated with bright colors and ice cream themed. The staff is so friendly. Street parking is available. But in walking distance from parking garage and food options. And if you like to walk your calories off you can always walk to Bushnell Park after. I was there for yelp elite event called scoops and shades. I ordered a 3 scoop on a cone. I ordered. Strawberry lemonade, birthday cake and green cookie dough... the one that I was wondering what it would taste like and if I would like it turned out to be my favorite which was strawberry lemonade. And green cookie dough most likely taste better than just regular cookie dough. Lol birthday cake tasted just like cake.. Whenever Im in hartford. And want desert Ill definitely be stopping in!!!

The portion sizes are great and they always put the toppings on the side when being delivered....so, you dont get ice cream thats been melted during delivery when hot fudge has been added. The ice cream is good! I definitely prefer Capital over Carvel and Baskin Robbins.

The service was friendly, the portion size was decent, and the ice cream was very good but not great. This is tucked away in a kind of odd area of Hartford, but its worth heading out there. Its always good to have a variety of ice cream options, and Im glad this is nearby.

This creative team of ice cream cake-makers never disappoints. The cakes are as tasty as they are awesome to look at. We love us some CIC in the summertime!

This little ice cream shop is a gem in Hartford’s Frog Hollow neighborhood, right next to Story and Soil Coffee shop (another wonderful place to check out). The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the decor is fun and colorful, and best of all the ice cream is delicious. The mint chocolate chip is so refreshing and the chocolate peanut butter is filled with waves of peanut butter. They have lots of options for everyone; ice cream, dairy free flavors, milkshakes, Sunday’s, and slushees. The place opened in June 2018 so if you haven’t been yet definitely check them out!

People were nice and patient with the clientele. They have dairy free refreshing sorbets.

Very cute shop with unique and delicious flavors and options! Chocolate dipped waffle bowl yummm. 4 stars just because of the small interior space, you can’t really stay in and eat your ice cream. That’s fine in the summer and on warm days, but in the fall and winter it could be an issue.

First time here, but big fan! Vanilla milkshake was great and the strawberry ice cream is super tasty

Ice cream was so good. Their signature cream was a green chocolate chip cookie dough.We arrived as they were closing up (we’re talking 7:59 when they close at 8) but they were patient enough to still serve us.I would absolutely recommend this adorable shop!

It’s exciting the downtown finally has an ice cream shop! The staff is very friendly! The flavors are creative with plenty of add ons available. I got the birthday cake ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle bowl with a brownie added on top. I highly recommend this place!

The ice cream is extremely good! Rich, with lots of flavor options. They offer all the bells and whistles but I prefer a cup of what ever flavor Im in the mood for that day. Loved their coffee ice cream! On good weather days, they offer outside seating. Definitely worth the stop.

Customer service is incredible - AND AWESOME ICECREAM! I ordered a pint and a cone. Chantell (the owner) offered to put the pint in the freezer while I enjoyed my ice cream. The exterior and interior are exquisitely decorated, its a pleasure just to be inside and look around. Cant wait to come back!

Icecream was good but the ordering process was a little disorganized. I had to repeat my order 3 times and it still wasnt correct but the employees were pleasant and the neighborhood was quaint.

Love it, love grape nut, rum&raisin and a lot more, close on Mondays days open at 1pm .

Service was not friendly or welcoming at all . No hand sanitizer in sight. Kind of overpriced for mediocre ice cream ..sat outside and watched a rat run in front of us and then under the stairs. Garbage can foot lever doesn’t work so you have to touch the lid and lift up to throw your garbage out but again no hand sanitizer.to use afterwards. They make it Hard to support a local Hartford business that makes it hard to remain safe during a pandemic
