Phenomenal selection of options + great setup! It was super easy to get around the store + also so warm + inviting. Absolutely worth the drive from GR, we will definitely be back. Theres no substitute for a cozy atmosphere like Artes And Craft, 10/10 recommend!

I drove all the way up from Indiana to visit this store and I was not disappointed in the least! The store itself was laid out nicely with enough room between displays to move around those that chose to stop for a closer look at the myriad of crystals, books, tools, clothing, cards- you name it! The staff was beyond friendly and went the extra mile for me when I contacted them a week later saying that I couldn’t stop thinking about an item I decided not to purchase while I was there. They created a custom order for me online and are shipping it straight to my door! You can’t find friendlier faces than those I found and Artes & Crafts!

I drove from Indiana to go see this store! I normally order off their website and their shipping guy shares a first name with me. Always friendly in emails. The Facebook page is always incredible, the store was equally so! The staff was friendly and they were quick to help. I asked if they did readings, and the manager gave me a tarot reading and a palm reading. I saw they added new bookshelves, so I’m excited to go back. The selection beats any store around me.

Absolutely AMAZING! The staff is incredible and so kind and helpful with questions and suggestions. The space itself is amazing because of the sheer amount of product but not just any product, stuff ranging from rare to extra RARE to handmade and divinely placed. Being a Witch from Salem Massachusetts and working in the metaphysical world all of my adult life I can safely say these guys are THE BEST in the country! The largest and best occult store in Michigan. Lots of educational books, the owner makes all of the wands and anthems. They have every type of tarot deck imaginable. They also have there own apothecary where you can buy resins and herbs by the pound. They also make there own incense blends for a reasonable price. Its well worth the drive.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. We felt welcome the moment we walked into the store. There’s a great selection of items and the prices are good. We’re looking forward to visiting again.

Update in response to owner…OK, I’m not sure what is going on here, but I did not have this sort of experience here. The reason I drove three hours one-way was because of the reviews. My problem with both this review and the Google review is that I didn’t want to write so many words. Apparently I need to though because I am going to leave this final review of my visit to the store and then I’m going to unlike and unfollow. I wish all of you the best; this is my (and my friend Alex) experience…I was so excited to come out on the road trip to check out the occult store that was so highly rated. My friend Alex came over to go with me and she had her mask. I inquired with her as to why and she said she noticed on the website that it looks like maybe they were wearing masks again. I was so glad she had told me that so that I had a mask to wear when I got there, as I have been vaccinated for months now but hadn’t got back into wearing masks since the Delta variant. I am both pro vaccine and pro mask… or rather anti-Covid! After traveling for three hours both my friend and I needed to go use the restroom. As we got out of the car to come into the store I grabbed my mask and then checked the door for the current mask policy. I didn’t see anything about masks on the door, but I noticed that the bathroom was not currently for public use so I opened the door to ask where the closest restroom was. From where they were seated I was told masks were necessary again so I took mine from my hand and put it on my face and asked about the bathroom after telling them I had been traveling for three hours. The only information I was given was that Rite Aid was a mile down the road. My friend and I went to use the restroom at Rite Aid. We came directly back to the store and entered again with masks on, and were never greeted or spoken to again until I bought a pair of earrings. Nobody mentioned the three hours driven. Nobody talked to us…period. I came expecting to leave a five star rating. I leave now reconfirming this one star rating. Enjoy this place all you want; my experience was very bad and my experience is valid.My friend and I drove three hours across Michigan. We were so excited! We got there and there was no public restroom so we had to find one first. When we arrived back, we were not spoken to the entire time we browsed. Nobody asked if we needed help. The employees chitchatted amongst themselves. We were hoping for a reading. Nothing mentioned. We had to write our own cheat sheet for the rocks and crystals. The employees also asked us to write the price for them. No description available. I drove three hours and expected so much more. I am disappointed by the shop itself, but more so by the poor customer service. What a waste of a day! Six hours of driving for 30 minutes of uncomfortable browsing.

Traveled 2 hrs to visit this fabulous store! It has everything you can imagine you need, plus what you didnt think you did. LOL Masks were observed yay!!! And sanitizer station. Loved that too. I will definitely be a return customer.

One the best Metaphysical stores I have been to. I recommend to all of my friends and family.

Its nice to visit an actual metaphysical store in this area...I have wanted to go here since they opened but once I got there it was just kind of a let down. We live in n. Indiana so the 90 minute drive wasnt worth it to us. If your craft leans toward the Ceremonial this is a good choice. Unfortunately mine doesnt. Not at all a bad store just not what I was looking for.

My friend and I drove 3 hours, I had already mentioned to her that we may need masks. As we opened the door (didn’t even walk in yet.), she had her mask in hand waiting to ask what the policy was. I had my mask on behind her just Incase. They weren’t very polite when telling us to put our masks on, they kind of wrote us off as Anti-maskers and treated us as such, when it wasn’t the case. we asked about using the restroom, they told us about the rite aid up the street. We didn’t fight them, we didn’t even give the slightest bit of attitude and we left. We came back and literally no one said anything to us, which is fine, we can browse on our own. But this left me feeling super uncomfortable while visiting because I felt I wasn’t even welcome. One guy behind the counter DID ask me if I needed any help finding anything about half way into the visit and he explained a little about the stuff behind the counter. We were bummed about the selection and did quietly talk about another store that we liked more, nothing wrong with that. We came expecting to spend a lot more money because obviously we expected there to be more things of interest, which there wasn’t and that’s fine. My friend wrote her review, which was completely based off her experience and her personal opinion, NOTHING wrong with that. Your store isn’t bad, and I’m sure other people will find things they enjoy. But I really don’t understand bashing a customer, completely turning around our story and making her look like an “Anti-masker” or “Anti-vaccine.” Thats simply just a coverup for your unwelcoming behavior. It’s really scary to see the lengths people will go to make themselves and their business look good. Like I said, your store wasn’t what we expected but I’m sure others will have a great time browsing. But honestly my review is just about the customer service, and that in itself is enough for me to never want to come back. I’m not even trying to be a Karen, I’m not trying to make the business look bad, we just simply weren’t treated well.

He was very pleasant to talk with and very respectful of how my visit went.——————————————————————————————The store was extremely dirty. Their sitting area near the books had empty take out containers and pop bottles all over the tables and chairs. They made you wear gloves (which is fine) but the garbage can to throw them away was literally over flowing and used gloves were all over the floor. Behind the counter looked like a dumpster. Garbage all over the floor and empty boxes/merchandise everywhere. The employee clearly didn’t care as she just sat there and stared at the computer. I was so excited to visit and unfortunately will never be back.

The rocks and minerals and certain items were outrageously overpriced ($10 for a pack of incense, $15 for a 1 1/2 inch skinny fluorite tower, $2.50 for 1 Palo Santo stick, for example). They do have an extensive collection of rocks, so if price isn’t an object to you, then you’d be happy to see all they carry. A lot of the items on display look old, dusty and without price tags. I do like how they had a lot of niche items like the handmade spell craft items. If you’re new to these type of stores, this place will be like a fun museum to peruse due to its size. The staff was friendly enough, I just don’t appreciate the prices being so high. As someone who loves a good witchy shop and tries to go to one every time I travel, this one kinda let me down.

I get my stones, handmade soap, oils, incense, Handmade jewelry, and loose jasmine, and other herbs for my tea here. They have very good jasmine for tea here. Always friendly and they remember you. My husband and I live in DC, recently we were visiting family in South Dakota and changed our whole route so that we could visit this shop. We were not disappointed. As everyone says (accurately) this place has it all. We are particularly interested in getting handmade products - things made by artisans, not soulless mega corporation sweat shops. If thats what you want, Artes and Craft delivers! We found all sorts of lovely things for our home altar and continue to be very pleased with the workmanship and quality. Selection aside, just visiting the shop is an experience. My husband and I spent four hours looking around, chatting with Paul, and enjoying the shops strong energy (also accurately noted in the reviews). Paul, the owner on hand when we came in, is an impressive craftsmen, a very personable shopkeeper and a great conversationalist. Weve been to our fair share of pagan shops, but Artes and Craft is a cut above.

I have never been to Michigan so I can’t say anything about the in-store experience, but I recently put in an online delivery order with this store, and they are SO KIND! An item in my order was out of stock, so they gave me the option to either wait for it to come in or get my order shipped without. Turns out there was a further issue with the item, but they explained the issue very nicely and told me that I would be receiving all my items the next day.The best known spiritual store in my local area has a notoriously rude owner who sent me a one sentence response when I asked about an online store issue I had, so I’m very grateful to have found such a helpful source for all my needs. I was really impressed with the amount and variety of stock in Artes and Craft’s store and I’m very much looking forward to becoming a regular customer!

Ive never seen many of the things here and I was so fascinated. I found the most beautiful skirt and a hand made raw crystal hair pin (a one of a kind piece) Nothing mass produced here! I bought a few other things too! Prices are very reasonable too by the way ... We drove 125 miles round trip ....Id drive that 4 times just to shop here! Just go ! You wont be disappointed! !!! Very mystic oriented store.

I fell in love with this place as soon as I stepped foot inside. It smelled amazing, it was calm, it was huge, and everything was just beautiful. The prices were fair, and I wanted to buy everything I laid my eyes upon. I can not wait to go back again, that have everything you could need. I highly highly recommend this place! We felt so welcome, and Paul went above and beyond to help us.

Artes and Craft is a perfect store for me. The owners take lots of care and the products are always high quality. They are conscious of where they source things, and have so much lovely stuff. Im always surprised. By the way, all you Harry Potter fans out there, they also make a real Elder Wand that is truly powerful. Hand-made of elder wood, tis great!

Awesome metaphysical store with pretty much everything you could want or need for your occult/witchcraft/general metaphysical needs. This store has an excellent selection of books, statues, gemstones, tarot cards, incense, home decor, and more. The store itself is a little secluded, and checking out takes a few minutes longer than most places (due to tech), but it’s well worth the trip.

One of my favorite metaphysical stores I have ever been to. I have never encountered a member of staff there that wasnt completely friendly and welcoming and they have an amazing selection! Check out the poppets, they are amazing!
