In my experience this team is not helpful, rude, and unprofessional. I was put in touch with them by Andersen Windows to help fix a broken window. Andersen told me they shipped them the parts, but the Hinckley team at first didnt want to look for the parts. They made me go back to Andersen to get shipping information (would have been nice if they had done that since Andersen said the parts were at their facility). I got the information and provided it to Hinckley. It turns out the information Andersen provided was wrong, but the Hinckley sales rep called me back (thats great! Responsive!), scolded me (thats not great!), and hung up on me (double, not great!). Thats enough for me! Ill find someone else to help me - I dont do business with jerks.

Comparitivly priced to Home Depot and way more convenient than going to Home Depot in Hyannis. They have a much better supply and choices of building lumber. They also cut the longer lengths of material to whatever you need.

Ken Carhartt is Hinckley’s certified Andersen professional and he is awesome. He installs, and also does all their warranty work for Andersen products. He knows his stuff, is fair in his prices, very nice to work with, and super responsive. I highly recommend him.

This is the most unfriendly store on the Cape, never a smile, never a hello. You get help if you are able to track down an employee and manage to get them to look in your direction. I have been going there for 20 years and dread every visit. The Ace Hardware up the street is a breath of fresh air. Go there if you have a choice.

Simply walk to the back wall of the store and they will help you. This place is really set up to supply the local contractors but if you simply go ask for help their wonderful. Huge selection of lumber and just about anything you would need for a home repair. Their return policies are fair and they do deliveries of big and bulky orders locally. Don’t believe the posts from those that don’t understand their system. Our contractor purchased 36 Anderson windows for our home from here and they have stood by them and the rest of the products we got to renovate. It’s locals mostly serving locals, be nice and you will be treated nicely. We’re not in the city and their dealing with big orders so be patient their getting to you as fast as they can. We’re lucky to have this wonderful resource in Brewster!

The staff can be unfriendly and difficult compared to other stores like the one across the street. But the do have a lumber yard and sometimes you need that and deal with surly staff.

It was project day, and I had to make 2 quick stops at Hinckley. Both times were fast, friendly, and successful!

It is a handy spot to get what you need on the lower cape. That said, clearly ownership is absent or does not care a whit about customer service. Some of the employees are great but others act as if you are bothering them with questions. Many of my foreign employees have expressed frustration at being treated poorly. some dont even want to go there because of it. I write not to be a jerk but to let someone know that its an issue and if IM experiencing it others are too. Again, not everyone is like this but every company needs a boss who regularly emphasizes customer service as a big part of the job.

Went to their store in Harwich, the guy at the register acted like we were beneath him, giving us attitude and strange looks. We just wanted to find replacement parts for a storm door.
