Purchased one of their attitude adjusters and installed it on my bike. About 500 miles later I hear noise from the primary. I open it back up and see that the adjuster outer support bracket is in three pieces.I call Linda to see if i can get it replaced under warranty and she says that Lisa the owner will not cover it even though its only a month out of warranty.I order that parts anyway and Linda keeps asking me if I need the main bracket also. I tell her no it looks fine. So I receive the new shoe and new outer support bracket and what do you know the new bracket is much beefier than the previous one and even the previous one was an upgrade from the original design. So knowing they have a problem with their product they will not budge on the warranty period or take care of you.I go to install the new parts and see that the main bracket is indeed bent. No wonder Linda kept asking me if I needed that too because they know its a problem once again.I get back on the phone with Linda to order the main bracket and she tells me they are out of that part for several weeks. (Must of had to send out a bunch of replacements)Have to get the bike back on the road so I purchased the original tensioner from the dealer and it works fine.I call Linda back to see if I can talk to Lisa and explain the situation and she gives me her email. So i emailed her about my concerns on their product and its been several months and havent heard back from her. Threw the old broken part in the trash along with the new replacement parts. They make inferior product and have the purchaser do the R&D so they can upgrade it and it still doesnt work. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will never buy another product from this company again.

Called Baker to order an OD6 and spoke with the receptionist. She put me on hold and then came back to tell me that someone would call me back shortly. After about a 10 minute wait, a salesman called and took my order. He guaranteed me that I would receive the parts within 2 weeks and they actually arrived in 6 days. Excellent customer service and help in determining exactly what I wanted to purchase. The best part is that the builders kit came with a new comp, sprocket and chain as part of the kit. What a fantastic way of receiving the new trans along with all of the other parts that should be replaced as well. Cant wait to see how it performs. Thanks to everyone at Baker for an excellent purchasing experience, especially during the pandemic!

Ive had my DD6 Builders Kit since 2006. A local shop, Chaos Customs, is rebuilding my bike and we decided to take advantage of Bakers rebuild offer. Sent it off in a home-made wooden crate and got it back 2 weeks later like new, in a Baker box. It looks like they replaced all the gears, updated the forks, included new main bearing and seals. For $795, this is really a good deal and they do a GREAT job. While I was at it I bought the 1+ oil Pan. I love Baker Drivetrain.

If they could figure out how to match the part to what the box says it contains. They sent a 6 speed shift shaft in a 5sp box. They wont exchange for the right one. They did however offer to sell us the right part for a reduced price. Customer service does not exist with this company.

After talking with ALL the experts, I purchased Baker comp. just under 2yrs ago. On my way back from Sturgis this yr. comp. started making noise. Got back to NJ, went to shop that works on my bike. They said its the comp. is BAD... Call/emailed Baker Drivetrain, been going back and forth with 2 different people, For 2 1/2 Months now. And I hav got NOTHING but the run around on replacing it. Going on 2 1/2 months now and still NO results. Bunch of BS with this company..

I ordered a gearbox told me 3weeks 4 weeks later told me will ship in1 more week.now 6 weeks of summer is gone and they finally tell me on back order until September would have been nice to know from the beginning would have just ordered stock set and would not have gone half of the NY summer with out a bike!!!!

So far its been a bad experience! Ordered on the 15 of February. They finally sent it Compersater out on the 2ndbof March.One state over and its the 9 March and still I do not have it! And they charged for shipping.

I dont know about the other review for this company, but the six speed overdrive gearset I installed in my 2003 FXDWG is the best money I ever spent on a motorcycle. PERIOD. That thing has completely changed the character of that bike. It shifts much smoother than the stock six speed in my 2010 Ultra Classic and is the easiest bike I have ever had to find neutral in. It is a little stiff to go from second back into first but that is a small trade off.When I first got the 2010 Electra Glide I rode and enjoyed it for a few weeks then hopped back on my Wide Glide with the OD6 in it and almost ripped the shift lever off because the Baker tranny required so much less effort to shift. Also the throw is much shorter as well.If you have a Harley you like other than the five speed tranny in it I would definitely contact Baker Drivetrain about upgrading to one of their six speed overdrive gear sets.

Ive only ever ordered off them 2 times and the first time they sent the wrong gear which was my fault but because they were nice i decided to pay the extra 30 some odd bucks for the part and the 20 something for shipping and go through them instead of going through the ebay seller i normally go through. I called the guy was nice i asked if i should order online he said he could update my info and process my order himself so i gave him my new address and my new number and he said Id get an email so i waited. I called baker and turns out the adress is the wrong one and he never updated the number so the parts been at the ups less then 30 minutes away from my house for the last few days and nobodys been able to notify me because the numbers wrong and the adress has 2 numbers swapped out so i called ups and they said because they called them to fix the address i cant pick it up in person so i have to wait another few days for the part to come. Now lets get this straight I like the people in their parts department enough to pay a little extra but the shipping needs work

Very disappointed with there customer service had wrong parts in box they said no way and after months of discussion discovered I had the wrong parts! Very let down made me feel like I assembled wrong but it was them! Amateurs
