My husband did much research on table bases and potential table tops after seeing an industrial table base that would look good in his man cave. He found the table base that he wanted and then began his exhaustive search for a table top. He finally came across local wood shops that offered the slabs that he was looking for and one in particular Logs to Lumber stood out. He contacted Brian and went to visit his shop in Hastings. OMG - what a selection of woods to choose from! My husband and Brian talked and were looking at various walnut pieces, when Brian said if you are looking for a statement piece let me show you the Mappa Burl slabs that I have. The pieces that he showed my husband convinced him that these were the ones that he wanted to show me. We made a return trip and once I saw these wonderful pieces I told my husband we are done looking! Brian helped my husband feel comfortable in doing the sanding and applying the epoxy himself which he did and felt a great sense of satisfaction in doing it himself. We then had a local carpenter do the finish sanding and apply the sealer. The finished table top is now in my husbands man cave and is thrilled to show it off to family and friends. This was my first experience buying lumber from Brian, and hopefully not my last. Hes in the middle of moving shops, and communicated via text when to come out. He helped me pick out boards for a desk I am making, and helped find some great boards, while also keeping price in mind with my budget. I also had him straight line rip the boards (small additional fee) but so worth it as he is careful to limit waste on the boards.Dont hesitate to use him, his stock is massive, he is super friendly and knowledgeable as well and willing to help.
