Walk up window not available due to short staffing. Drive thru only when I went. Professional staff. Got a chocolate covered cone- delicious!

Im never disappointed at the Havelock Dairy Queen. Always have what I want, quality is awesome, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

At first glance looked like nobody was there, 3 kids that didn’t have DQ uniforms on came out the back. Staff was slow and inefficient, got my order wrong. Would recommend just going to sonic if you want ice cream, or even McDonalds… ridiculous

This DQ has a very dark and spooky looking parking lot at night, no lights. This place was being ran by a bunch of kids who were not wearing masks or gloves. Then they didnt get my order right. I asked for a refund and went to my usual location in New Bern.

Food is good. Wait times can be looooooooong. Because they sometimes are understaffed. So sometimes the main hours like lunch or dinner the line can take an hour or more... other times the line is quick. Their pretzel sticks and rotisserie bites are pretty good but their ranch is waaay too liquidy, its like they watered it down or something. The cheese sauce for the pretzel sticks is way good. Use that for the rotisserie chicken bites instead.

Always a pleasure getting a treat from here. The employees are pleasant. They always turn your blizzards upside down to show its a real blizzard.

I love dairy queen. I went tonight (12-19-20) and ordered 2 blizzards and 2 hot fudge sundaes and 1 had extra hot fudge strawberry and pineapple topping and they made it all fit in 1 cup without spilling or overflowing and was actually extra with plenty of ice cream.! It was a work of art lol and they were really quick with the order. I would recommend anyone coming to or passing through havelock that has a sweet tooth swing by dairy queen and they will treat you right.!

You got about 4 cars in front of you and you order at the speaker. As you get to pick up window your ice cream has melted. I order a blizzard and it melted so bad I seriously thought it was a milkshake, very disappointing. Your order should be made as you get to window not at the speaker. Get rid of the speaker.

Too slow. Spent twenty minutes and line barely moved. Finally left before ordering causing our eleven year old to be very disappointed.

Dont waste your time unless you have plenty of time to waste. The last 2 times we pulled out and left. Takes too long for the line to move. I am sure we made it to Bridgeton to get ice cream at the gas station before those in line at DQ got served.

Its a hometown staple. I generally stop for a blizzard when I go back home to visit. Customer service was friendly. They have been consistent for the past 30 years.

Drive through is slow but not to bad. Highly recommend parking and using the walk up window. Service is great either way.

Friendly staff, great service, but yet again in Havelock...Full line at 8pm and the ice cream machine magically breaks down???? Just like both McDonalds....Come on kids, just admit your tired and want to shut down early!

Went here today. Terrible STRANGE tasting ice cream. They need to have their equipment inspected. Requested refund. They incorrectly charged my card again instead of issuing refund. Spent 20 minutes having them correct the issue. Avoid this location.

I had the drumstick blizzard. It was awesome. It has more nuts, chocolate, andthe waffle cone pieces than the drumstick cone does.

After working all afternoon cutting a tree downed by the last hurricane, I was ready to cool off. The Triple Berry Smoothie hit the spot. It was AWESOME! I know my body temp came down and the smoothie tasted great.

Wish this Dairy Queen was a full size because it can get crowded pretty quickly. the employees work as fast as they can but waiting outside in the heat(unless you use drive-thru) gets old quick. But its worth the sweet frozen treats. Enjoy.

Good summer treats but very pricey, poor flow path for ordering, paying and pickup and the staff, mostly meh. At the time of my last visit, I was the ONLY customer in the parking lot--I had driven past the building and walked to the only window that had a person standing nearby. I stood there for about a minute before he came over from a conversation he was having and pointed to his left, indicating I needed to go there. I did and about another minute passed before he slowly went over to the SECOND window and took the order--meanwhile, the two others inside were having a fine conversation of some sort and doing NOTHING. Ludicrous. Hiring kids is great, but sometimes they need an adult to manage them--or a kid with better skills.

Paying costumer and asked to use the bathroom. They close at 9pm but asked at 8:48PM to use the bathroom. Really had to go...was told that they cleaned the bathroom so no. What I assume was the manager proceeded to walk away and let the other girl take our order. Seems like their priority is to get out the door at 9pm on the dot instead of the costumer. They had time to take my familys $20 dollar order tough. Nice one guys.

My husband loves this little place.

Although I cant vouch for the quality of the food itself, I can vouch for the quality of the product this place is known for: ice cream.I dont believe I have ever had a desert from here I didnt like, and the presentation is always great. One of my first chouces when I want ice cream!

The young lady who works the drive thru everytime we come by (young, light skinned, slightly heavy set, always wearing heavy makeup) needs a refresher course in customer service. She is rude, never smiles, always seems annoyed that we had the audacity to force her to interact with us, and EVERY TIME she has been the one to hand us our order, she half throws our bag into our window.Everyone else who works there is lovely, friendly, quick, and accurate

This tiny Dairy Queen that only has walk up or drive through service is a great place to get your sweet tooth filled. On the way home from work, or the beach in my case, it offers all the Dairy Queen products you remember from being a kid. They have an A rating and great service !!

I love the peanut buster parfait. The service isnt as good today as past visits. The guy give me my peanut buster parfaits with the spoons jammed to the bottom of the cups. Ice cream was dripping down the sides of the cups. Im not impressed with people that dont care to pay attention to detail. Ill drive to Morehead City next time.

I went after a visit to the beach with my partner, friends, and furbaby. Even in the scorching heat, the staff provided astounding service with a big smile. I had a large order, and the crew aced it down to the doggy bone topped neatly on my boys pupcup. Id highly recommend this dq!

This location has been here in Havelock since I was a kid delivering newspapers in Slocum Village and the Miller Blvd. area in the late 1950s. JUST CHILL AND ENJOY your DQ !

I came here on 07/30/2020 at 10 and when I pulled up to the window one of the female workers is on her phone and eating a blizzard in front of the window not wearing a hat next to food, wasn’t even wearing a mask. No body was even wearing gloves when handling the food. This is so disgusting and very horrible that Dairy Queen allows this kind of behavior. I’m very disappointed with this store and will NOT recommend to anyone.

The treats are always cold, delicious and made to order. The staff is always friendly at this location as well which always makes the experience more enjoyable.

I cant really rate this place on taste because I never bought anything from them but the prices are to high for me. I go to the grocery store and buy similar products for cheaper.

This is one of the older Dairy Queens with walk-up service. A drive through was added some years back. Service is pretty fast, and there are picnic tables behind the restaurant. Be careful driving,, the bushes at the edge of the parking lot obstruct the view of the street.

Service is slow especially with the drive through. Food was ok cheese dog was nuked bun and all making it too hot to handle and num mushy ( not from the chili)

I eat at DQs all over the country where ever I may travel. Im gonna rate this tiny DQ as one of the top 3 Ive tasted. You can tell they clean their ice cream machines thoroughly as the ice cream was very creamy (the way DQ is supposed to be displayed and sold). It is a DQ that you get the quality of soft serve that DQ means to offer to its clientele. If you are a DQ aficionado then after you eat from this DQ, you will know how the ice cream is supposed to be served from DQ!

So much fun! It was a very warm day....perfect for a chilli dog and some icecream! Dairy Queen is basic and iconic! I ordered a chilli cheese dog and a cherry Mister Misty float. I also asked for a small dish of vanilla ice cream.The young man taking my order asked me if it was for my dog. It was.The dish of icecream came out garnished with dog treats!!! That made my day! It was a fun stop for a tasty treat in the middle of the day.

Love their Blizzards!!! I always go with one of the royal blizzards. Ive been here about 3 times since Ive been in the Havelock area and they have never let me or my family down with the quality of icecream and great, friendly customer service. Would give 5 stars if there were more options to explore. Otherwise I highly recommend this establishment!
