Got a muffler replacement done for my Jeep Wrangler. Called them about 2 days after I noticed the issue on a Monday and they were able to look at it that Wednesday.From start to finish, service was professional. The guys went above and beyond when my truck went in for a front end alignment.. there was a banging noise coming from the front driver side.. they test drove after alignment and still heard the noise found the issue and fixed it for me.. Thank u guys keep up the good work..

I came to Monro after another shop put too much oil in my car. I first went to Jiffy Lube where they tried to charge me 120 dollars. Monro was very clear and willing to help me at an EXTREMELY fair price.
Went in for brakes today. They took very good care of me and my car. They also let me know i was iver due for my oil change, that i did know so i had them do that as well. Great service feom beginning to end. Very professional and polite. Paul does a great job. The techs are very good and always take care of my vehicle. Love these guys. My last visit a few months back was ok, but a little over priced.Last week my check engine light came on and they were able to put in a new water pump and let me know other work Id need in future. They did it quickly and for a reasonable price, especially with a 20% off coupon!Check engine light still on but they said not to worry🤞
My mom hates having her yearly inspection done, so she goes for an inspection only to find out her mufflers are shot. Monro took great care of her and the 2003 Saturn ( dont know how this car is still running) and when she failed inspection again for faulty headlights they took care of that as well. Went in for service on my vehicle. I thought i needed exhaust work, brakes and something was wrong with my front end. They found my exhaust was just a shield and put a clamp around it to stop the rattle. My brakes are not as bad as i thought i still have half life in them. My front end i needed work. I had them fix it and do an oil change all at a reasonable price. Thank you for being honest with me.

Then I walked in and person there was very personable and friendly. I waited for my alignment to be completed and it was done very fast! Went in for brakes that a competitor ( i would rather not say the name) said i would need right away Paul the manager told me he could take the car right away. They did a inspection of my vehicle to only find out that what i needed was to have my brakes cleaned and adjusted in the rear and my front brakes had 8mm of pad left. They brought me out and showed me what was going on. I had them do the work recommended and it cost me 60.00 dollars. The mechanic also showed me my tire that was cracking do to dry rot i had a warranty at another place so i am going there when i am done here. Great service and very nice people. Being i am not one to write about service good or bad i felt that these people really do great work and should be recognized for it. Called for an appointment for an oil change. I was informed that it is drop off service only at this time. I set up to have my oil change done at 830 am. As i walked into the monro i noticed it was very clean and well sanitized. I was greeted by Paul the manager. He took my information down and said he would call me when my Vehicle was ready. I noticed that the mechanic was going out to my vehicle and got a floor mat gloves and a maske on. He also had sanitizing wipes to disinfect my car. When i got back after they called me . Paul took the time to go over my vehicle with me . He noted some things that didnt need immediate attention today but i wanted to have done in the near future no safety items just maintenance items. He gave me a quote on having it done and told me next oil change would be when they are do. Anyways before he handed me my keys back he made sure that he sanitized them and again thanked me for my business in this time of indifference. It is nice to know that these guys are out here and going the extra mile to keep me and all the customers happy and safe. I just wanted to say thank you for your great service and customer care. Went in for an oil change today got great service. I always have gone to the instant oil change place and they always tell me i need something or another. Anyways what a pleasent surprise when they had my car in the mechanic went through my car and said everything looked good. No add on sales just my oil change. He did tell me i would need tires soon the manager gave me a quote on them and what i think is a great price. I will be back for them and my oil changes from now on. My experience here started off not so good. I went in for a ball joint issue. Picked up my car after the work was done to find out that not only did they fix the wrong ball joint (ball joint that did NOT need to be fixed at all),they had broken the sensor on my car. After numerous times of them tryna fix it I got sent to the Medford store and sent back to the Haverhill location... I paid a lot out of pocket to get the ball joint and wheel bearing fixed. So my frustration of them breaking something sent me off the edge. At this point I was over Monroe. Calling one last time to have them fix what they broke I find out that the man I was dealing with back and forth for days had left the company ! Wow! So I spoke with Mike, the new Haverhill locations Manager and he PROMISED to work on my car until it was fixed! Man, did he keep his promise! He worked on my car himself and even changed my brake pads for free for all that the others have caused and all the inconvenience! He did an amazing job and got my car back the next day and it’s running beautifully!! I would recommend Mike to every and anyone who is getting work done there! Very polite genuine guy who gets the job done right!
Another outstanding visit on July 27, 2019.I went in for an oil change and asked about my tires.They were upfront about the timeline for my tires to be replaced but didnt pressure me to buy. After their advice I decided to replace them right away. At almost 5PM on a Saturday they only had 2 tires in stock. They went out of their way to get the remaining tires and installed them right away. They have the best total warranty in the business. I will go back again for all my auto service needs. Paul and his team are professional and polite.

Got tires balanced and oil changed on both our cars, friendly and competent service, and fast turnaround -- all for walk-in appointments! The staff had no complaints working around my weird, old car and unusual requests. And, the wheel balance was very good. Would recommend!

These guys were great! I had my car towed to them an hour before they closed and they took care of my car for the night on such short notice. They didnt have the tire replacement I needed, but picked one up for me first thing in the morning! My car was fixed up and ready to go by noon! The guys that worked there were really funny, nice and accommodating too! Price was also fairly decent.

Gave them a try because they offer oil changes for a great price. My car takes synthetic oil and the manager wvwn told me about a coupon i could get online. He and hos mechanic wd were very busy but they got me in and gave me a great report on my vehicle. I have some things i need to take care of. I knew a few of them. But his mechanic showed me a few more that i need to address soon. They gave me a quote on the things i need to get my car up to par. Showed me why and did not pressure me into a snappy decision. Paul told me they would take care of me when i was ready to have the qork done. What a relief no pressure sales. I see now why they have a great rating. Ive visited the Monros in haverhill today and had such a wonderful service experience. Paul Perry, the manager, was personable and incredibly customer focused. While Tyler was working on my car, Paul would keep me posted about my service progress and engaged me with some light joking chats. Both Tyler and Shane are extraordinary guys and were helpful and kind. Im still amazed about how well my visit went. If you have ever had a bad experience in the past or are trying somewhere new, give this location another shot, you will not be disappointed.
WOW... this was REFRESHING to experience an auto service center that prides themselves on TRANSPARENCY and customer service! My experience at Monro (for the first time last week - Feb 2020) was phenomenal from end to end. To the point where the first thing I thought to do after leaving was write this review. My fiance is from the area and has been going to this Monro for years - and now I see why. Larry, who seems to run the front of the shop and is the main customer care guy - is incredibly nice and incredibly patient with questions - b/c I asked A LOT. First of all - Larrys positivity and kind personality comes through in the way he answers the phone. And his authentic personality was evident meeting him in person too. On the initial call - after telling Larry what I was coming in for (hood latch not working, new battery and get the brakes checked) he walked me through how everything was going to work - and even gave me high level estimates with if/then scenarios. They were able to take me really quickly too. When I arrived, he printed out a list of the dealer recommended services - which I had read a lot about and came to find out are often not absolutely necessary unless youre talking about the big ones (e.g. - 60,000 mile service, etc). He told me he would inspect the car end to end and let me know what he truly felt I needed done if anything, in addition to my initial concerns, and categorize them by safety risks. Incredibly appreciated. Once they had done the inspection, they took me out to the car up on the lift and walked me through everything they found (never had this done at the dealership). I knew my brakes were the originals from when I bought it brand new and the car now has just under 50,000 miles on it, but hadnt told them this, and they found that I was 0.003 away from discard - so as I suspected, I needed new brakes. They also said the battery didnt test well - which I also knew would be the case since Ive had to jump it three times in the past couple of cold weather months. The hood latch was fixed in 2 minutes and they didnt charge me for it. Some gunk build up. They even gave me a discount on the brakes - and made sure my battery met all cold weather specs - not selling me the highest end battery, but also not the low end. Which is what I wanted. And I had priced out batteries and their charge was under what I expected, even with labor. I was in and out (and even did some work on their wifi while I waited) in about an hour or so. They were so kind - and definitely earned my customer loyalty going forward. Highly recommend this Monro location!
The team over at this Monro is excellent. This was my first time at a Monro and was pleasantly surprised by the level of service. I needed a brake job and they took the time to show me my worn out pads and rotors before talking about the repairs needed. They had also explained to me that my rear drums were in great shape and didnt need any special attention. The price was reasonable and came under my 2 quotes from other garages in the area. I would highly recommend getting your vehicle checked out by the team at Monro.
NEVER go here! They really are con artists it’s sad. Me and my girlfriend on separate occasions both went in for minor fixes that normally cost around 300$. After dropping our car off we both later got calls saying more things needed to be fixed with a quote of over 1000$! Each time we got second opinions not only would we have been over charged but the parts were not even broken!
Really good service. Was broken down on the highway, called AAA n got a spare put on, gotta learn how to change my own tire haha. But they took me with no appointment and put 2 new tires on my car. Car needed a little extra work, but they personally brought me to my car and showed me on the lift. Instead of saying your car needs X,Y,Z they show you the car which is awesome! Great professional service! Would recommend.

Was in for service this week and to my delight they had been going thru there office and sanitizing all of it the waiting area was very clean and they even had hand sanitizer for the customers. Walked in on a sunday midmorning with no appointment. They told me Id have to wait or come back about an hour and a half. Their tire balance machine was down and they had to send someone with a car to another store to balance tires for someone.Came back within 2 hours. They took the car right in. Once they took all the wheels off, they showed me all four brakes, pads and rotors. So I understood what they were recommending and in the end going to do.The only complaint I had wasnt even the technicians fault. Their computer system is really old. Someone before me was trying to pay with a check and it took about 15 minutes of waiting for them to call IT then manually call the processing company to do the check over the phone.
Had a great experience at the Haverhill store. Needed my tires changed and Chris was super nice and professional. The store even offered me a ride home. I highly recommend the store as Chris, Nick, and the team offered me the highest quality of customer service.

A couple of Sundays ago, I was on a road trip with my two small kids, and my mother, who is in poor health and on oxygen. As we were about to get on the highway to head home, I realized that I had a nail in the tire and was quickly losing air pressure. Not wanting to drive the significant distance home (highway driving) on the spare donut, I googled the nearest tire place - this branch of Monro Auto Service and Tire. It was almost 3pm on a Sunday. I thought I would be completely out of luck. They told me they could fit me in on Monday, but when I explained our situation, Chris had me come right in. They patched my tire, and I was back on the road in 30 minutes. And, they didnt charge me. I cant say enough what life savers these guys were....decent, honest, and kind. Im so grateful there are still people like the guys at Monro Auto in the world.
Driving from Maine to Longisland my car started acting up and this outstanding service center was the closest shop. Luckily upon arival the employees were able to get my car in and diagnose and fix the problem very efficiently. The service at this shop was very friendly and professional and would recommend using this shop for any issues that you are having with your car from changing your oil to diagnosing and fixing a major problem. I was driving to CT from visiting ME. I just got 4 brand new tires (different location and company) the week before.I came in on a Sunday with NO appointment. These guys got me in quickly, told me what was wrong with my tire, and got me set up to drive the rest of the way home. Chris even looked up a coupon for me!!Chris and his team are awesome!! I have brought my vehicle in to this location 6 times and been charged for 3 different services, none of which resolved the issue that I brought it in for in the first place. I heard a noise that I told them sounded like the brakes but was told I needed new rear tires and struts which was completed over 2 days and cost me almost $800. After still hearing the noise I wasnt able to bring it in for a couple months due to my busy work schedule at 2 jobs. When I brought it in for the 3rd time I was told I needed a new wheel bearing which cost me another $600. After allegedly having that replaced I heard the noise later that same day and went right back to Monro to complain. They were not able to hear the noise when we took it for a drive. I returned a short time later with my mother as back up to complain because by this point I knew I was being conned, they told me to bring it in the next day and they would see what they could do. The next day they said I needed new brakes and wanted another $400 for that. I told them I would be getting a second opinion and later had the brake pads and rotors replaced for less than $300 elsewhere. I now question all the services I received there and whether any of them were actually completed or even necessary in the first place. I am disputing all the charges billed to my drive card which was offered through Monro as I do not intend to be taken advantage of as I know many other consumers have been by this company after seeing others online reviews and talking to family members who have also been conned out of their hard earned money at various Monro locations. The worst part is how genuine they seem as they kindly take advantage of you. Do not give your business to these people, and if youve been taken advantage of by these con artists I urge you to contact call for action as I have!
After a surprise flat tire this AM; I was able to get squeezed in for an appointment, get my stocked tire studded, and get my tire replaced and put on my car with the friendliest service from Michael and clear hustling from Tyler. Thank you for helping me out this AM!

I never leave reviews - but after my amazing experience here I felt obligated to spread the word.I was driving from NH to NYC when my engine light starting blinking at me and the car started shuddering 25 minutes into the ride. Earlier that day my car was serviced at another station, and I was terrified they had screwed something up that would end up costing me a small fortune.After pulling off at the nearest exit, I found this shop. They immediately set to work on my car, spending a good 40 minutes checking everything that had been serviced. After the full inspection they identified that the air filter box wasnt properly set up & latched (which they fixed) and said it was either that or a bad tank of gas. When I asked how much - they didnt even charge me - which is unheard of!Upon getting back into the highway again, the same issue occurred and I brought it back. They added some enzymes into the gas tank, took it on an extended test drive (20+ mins) to ensure the issue was fixed, and brought it back.Overall, unbelievable service at an incredible price. Coming across a mechanic like this is 1 in a million.Thanks again guys!

This place is great. They ran my plate as I drove in and upon entering asked What can we do for you today Nick? I was like, do I have a name tag on??? I needed them to adjust my alignment on my Saab which is sporting a rear end from a Saturn L200 but they were great about my ask. Couldnt fix my rear tow alignment but thats a Saab issue as its bolted to the subframe assembly.

Brought my car in this past weekend for an oil change and what I thought would be back breaks. Turns out needed front breaks, oil change,tire rotation and the back breaks only needed cleaning and adjusting. Manager made sure all discounts that could be applied were so the bill didnt hurt the wallet to much. Thank you everyone, at the shop I appreciate the job well done.

Went there yesterday for an oil change, they checked out everything in my car for me and were very informative! They warned me that my breaks are fine now, but I may need new ones by my next oil change and the associate even broke down the cost of that for me without me asking so I would know how much to be prepared to spend when the time came! I wish I got the helpful associates name because it was honestly some of the best customer service I have seen!

Car was acting up in a bad way. Brought in to have them verify the issue and fix. They had me in and out quickly without being charged. Unfortunately the issue was my transmission which is something they couldnt fix. Appreciate the help and professionalism though!
I recently had a very unfortunate experience at Monroe Muffler in Plaistow. I went in because I had a leak in my muffler. They told me I needed to replace my muffler and two air filters and the total would be $650. I said I would do one of the air filters today (because it was in rough shape) but would need to hold off on the rest, because $650 is a lot. They told me the carbon air filter would be $80. When I told them the last oil change I got they told me it would be $45 to get a new one. Chris told me that he would go see if he could do a price match. He asked if 39.99 would be good. Obviously it was good, however I was concerned that I just got half off because I asked. They told me they detached my muffler and put it in the trunk because they were worried it would fall off. I made an appointment at another shop today, popped open my trunk and my muffler wasn’t there. They had never put it in. So I had to leave my appointment to drive and pick up the muffler that forgot to put in my car and they never notified me. I ended up only having to pay $175 to fix my muffler. I would not trust their professional opinions and pricing.

Brought my Jeep here a few years ago with a 4 inch lift for an alignment, place was wonderful did it no problem my jeep drove amazing. Bring my Jeep back again all new people working there now my Jeep has a 4 inch long arm fully adjustable lift with adjustable track arms front and rear and they can’t do it now the manager told me he had no clue how to do it and then they proceeded to tell me I didn’t get it aligned there before place is a joke never going back there again waste of my time.
They did a check up on my car at no charge but every time I went there always something else with my car last time I went the my wanted to fix everything on the car almost 2,500$ in repairs I just came for a check up to to get the whole car fix but oh well end up they just want more cash

I had been using Monroe for service and oil changes for years for my two cars. We both drive a lot so I am there every 6-8 weeks for one of the cars. Time after time I have not had an issue with either car.This week I was out of town so I had my gf bring in one of the cars for a standard oil change. The manager told her her she needed a new drain plug for the car and being a woman she trusted them. They charged her $19.99 for a bolt. They also told her she needed her power steering flushed for $115 and she had a leaky valve cover gasket and the if the oil leaked on the exhaust her car could catch on fire $775.It is obvious they were trying to take advantage of a woman... do not trust them, if you do take your car there get a second opinion.They lost my business... I will Not be back.

These guys are totally clueless. I had them do work on my exhaust pipe and then my check engine light went on after leaving the shop, I brought it back and come to find out they damaged another part while welding on a new part. They couldnt figure out how to fix it so Im assuming they reset my battery so that the check engine light wouldnt come back on right away and told me it was fixed. 50 miles later my check engine light comes back on and its coming up with the same code as it did before. They charged me an incredible amount and never actually fixed my car. Never go here!

Friendly people, great service, much faster than I anticipated.
After pulling out of an exit and hearing the loudest screeching sound coming from my car, I pulled over to the nearest mechanic which happened to be Monro’s. At this point I’m already upset cause I’m most likely going to have to spend big bucks on who knows what. I go inside and explain my situation to Paul, he politely tells me that they’ll look at it in a few minutes and invites me to wait outside on the picnic table with my family. After some time has passed he invites me inside, explains the situation with my vehicle, which was merely a rock getting stuck in between the breaks, and hands me the keys. That was that, no big charge, an easy to understand explanation, and a have a good day. The service the the mechanics Paul and Dennis provided was great, I honestly felt more like a guest than a customer. Next time I go to Monro’s won’t be because I have to, it’ll be because of the excellent service provided by Paul and Dennis. Thanks again guys!

Outstanding customer service/ manager/ mechanic worked extremely hard to make sure my vehicle was running brand new I will definitely be using them when ever there’s a problem with my vehicle I’m actually driving a new vehicle because of them thanks again Monroe I truly appreciate it.
8/17 Told me I needed a clutch for my ac it was blowing warm air . Got an estimate 1300 . Made an appointment, took the day off . Went in 3 hous later told me they had the wrong part and couldnt get the right one that day . Went back on Saturday . Five hours later it was done. But there was a problem. They had to jump it with a wire to make it work .I left and halfway home it was blowing warm air . Called back manager was off for three days . Went back following Sat.they put die in found a leak topped off the coolant. No charge . Five minutes later warm air again . At a loss as what to do now .been going there for 15 years . Really dont want to go back but I am out 1300 dollars .

The employees here are very nice and make sure they give you the best deal they can give you. They are also so nice when I am there making sure I understand exactly what I am being charged and why.
