Had my first visit today, they got me in right at my appt time and the staff treated me great. I’ll definitely be sticking with this office

Staff was friendly, informative… and was able to recommend some new products that were available. They had me in and out really fast!

Fantastic! The reviews are real. I had been seeing the same optometrist in Chicago for the last 20 years, even though Ive lived in Los Angeles for the last 13 years. So when it came time to finally get set up out here, I looked for somewhere with a similar vibe and so happy I found this place. Very pleasant staff from the phone to in person. Took very good care of getting me all set up as a new customer and squared up my insurance easily. Walked me through the online intake to make it earlier for both parties. The doctor was very kind and talked me through each of the steps and even gave me additional information as I have a very high prescription. Wonderful selection of frames as well. From stylish to classic to trendy, there were frames for all tastes, and at good prices too!! Glad to have found this place, as I will be coming here now for the next 20 years. :)

Wonderful first experience with Hawthorne Optometry. Very clean facility and streamlined COVID processes for check-in.They were able to fit me in their schedule same day when I needed medical attention for my eyes. I was referred to them by fiancé and he as well, had a pleasant experience with the staff and Dr. Mannum.

I’ve had a great experience here overall. Jenni is awesome and very customer oriented. She goes out of her way. I got a discount also for being a UCI fellow Alumni. I would definitely recommend this office

The staff and doctor was so incredibly nice! I was calling around everywhere for an appointment that day and no other place was available so I found these guys and thank goodness I did! Not only were they kind, but they were also clear, concise, and quick! I was in and out faster than I imagined and at the same time I felt very cared for and felt very satisfied with the service I was given. They also were very affordable to other places I’ve been! (And I didn’t even use insurance coverage) I even had a follow up question after leaving and they were quick to give me a call back!

One of the best in town.Eye exam cost maybe a bit higher than other optometry, but with all the services and friendly staffs. $10-20 different is definitely made up with experience. Warm welcome, friendly and honest staffs. Definitely will come back and suggest to everyone.

The receptionist looked very frightened with the whole COVID situation. I told her that we have already been vaccinated, had our masks on plus sanitized and followed all her directions. Even then she was watching every step we take. It made us feel very uncomfortable to try to pick out a frame.

Needed to renew my contact lens prescription. They take masks and social distancing very seriously. My temperature was taken before I could enter the office, and there was plenty of hand sanitizer in the waiting room.Dr. Nakada was very pleasant and efficient. Still waiting on my lenses to arrive, but so far so good! Glad theres such a professional office nearby. Would come again.

Staff was very professional, polite and got me in and out of there relatively quickly. Got my eyes dilated there for the 1st time and they made sure to explain to me why they were doing it what they were looking for when they did do it. They even provided me some special instant sunglasses I could wear afterwards. They also did a good job of explaining how I can maximize my insurance benefits to get the most bang for my buck. My so only complaint this game is parking. Parking lot is small and packed sometimes so may have to park a bit further out depending what parking signs say. Other than that Im happy with service Ive gotten there the over the past few years.

Quality care with a great office staff. Ive been visiting this office for years. I cant imagine going anywhere else. They are wonderful and up-to-speed on every insurance provider Ive had over the years. Top notch doctors too! One of the doctors found a problem with my eyes and recommended surgery. If she hadnt caught it, I would have had major vision problems. I highly recommend this place.

I think my overall experience was great, since it was the first time I ever had my eyes examined. Just a few points, I was expecting but, didnt happen.1. I had to call after I got home and ask for my prescription. I dont understand why It was given to me at the office.2. Everything including the results doctor told me, I was hoping for a follow up on paper or email. I went home, and tried to repeat everything to my wife.3. I should automatically be told, Im scheduled for an appointment next year as a follow up.4. I think Veterans and over 65 should get an extra discount.Other than that, Ill recommend this office to friends in the future.

This optometry used to be good. I have been going here for 11 years. But recent experiences were really bad. I went here to get my glasses and the receptionists were so rude. I wouldnt give them a bad review but the two receptionists (one was a fat lady with dyed blonde hair and the other was a short Hispanic lady) were rude on the phone and in person. One of them was not letting me choose the glasses I liked. They were trying to force me to pick the glasses that were expensive. In addition, without even asking if I wanted scratch protection on my glasses she just added that to my bill. Scratch protection alone was $99; more than any place I have ever been to get my glasses. I guess they hired new people without really taking a further look. Unfortunately, I have had enough and will not be going here anymore.

I’ve had all doctors and they are all very knowledge and helpful during every visit, even Karen. Dr. Lee today was very thorough with my visit which I really loved and appreciated. I always look forward to my annual visit here.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Maanum for at least 10 years and every visit has been wonderful. He is good at explaining during the exam, and answers any questions you might have. They also do very well at getting you in at your appointment time and sometimes even a little early. Staff is great too!Thanks!!

Phenomenal customer service right from start.It is a small office so do not be discourage with the amount of people waiting in the lobby. Every time i have been there i get called in right at my appointment time. The staff is excellent at scheduling and knowing the amount of time you will need with the doctor.the doctors are very detailed with the information they provide you. Very professional and will answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Very friendly staff. They have the latest tech on Drivewear sun lenses which I love. Transition works well anywhere, inside and outside buildings and most importantly while driving. You only need one pair of glasses. A separate sunglass is a thing of the past.

My husband and I Have been clients for almost 2 years now. Its so nice to have a local one stop shop for taking care of my eye exam or choosing a new pair of eye glasses and sun glasses. The optometrist, Dr. Maanum is very friendly and thorough, and I was always happy with his prescription. Also, after receiving a pair of glasses I pointed out that the lenses are not fitting well and Dr. Maanum offered to exchange the frames at no cost and I received a pair of glasses that I love! I also appreciate the girls in the front office, as they are helpful in providing feedback regarding good fitting frames and lenses.
