Ample parking to the side of the street dedicated for the place. I love the decor outside. When we got there the place is almost full and we are greated by lovely staff, The place is small inside all corners has set up tables. The price is good, the serving is big for the cheap price. I will definely comeback here whenever we have chance to visit NJ.
The food is amazingly fresh, and large portions. The prices are very low. The service is prompt and friendly. I must say whomever owns this place knows their business and runs it well. Ive done lunches here. Going back for breakfast soon. Hits all marks highly recommended for a casual but awesome meal.
My first time eating here this morning. The waitress is really really nice. You have got to try the cream of turkey soup!! It was amazing I had an omelette with bacon and cheese and very heavy veggies... Very very good. A somewhat busy spot lots of doordash and lots of girls no corners coming in and out but still a nice quiet place to go and sit and have breakfast. Very Clean would definitely eat here again...
Great food at Great prices. Recommend going there in person to eat as opposed to ordering out. Their menu on doordash needs to be corrected with their menu choices and options. Otherwise FOOD IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN BEFORE!

It was very crowded. But they work it very good. food was delicious and hot. Our waitress was very pleasant. I used to order delivery from here but they would always get my breakfast wrong. Not today it was delicious definitely going to be heading back. The food is very very good here.

This Diner did not produce the quality of food I invest my money in. EXTREME lack to execute menu item and distasteful in its presentation. Never again will I order food from Hawthorne Diner, I have HIGH EXPECTATIONS when spending our familys money on food we ingest period.Some history I have eaten plenty of times from this Diner during previous management without any complaints.
I went to Hawthorne pancake house my birthday brunch on April 1, 2021... I have the egg white with bacon and a side of vegetable on the side... I must say that when I went there the waitress were so respectful and so attentive... The food was good and the ambience was quiet... I have went there in the past and I must say that they make the best sweet potato fries I ever tasted... I only live a couple blocks away and it’s nice to know that they have a diner in our area...Looking forward to going back there soon

Food was ok and so was service but manager is a big fat jerk. I called for a table for 8 inside-- he welcomed my request. When I got there, he wanted to sit my elderly guests outside in the rainy cold weather. When I demanded my table inside, they separated my party even though we wouldve fit in one booth. The ingredients in the food werent accurate. DO NOT RECOMMEND. STAY AWAY
Came here over a year ago and the food was absolutely great. Ordered for delivery today and was highly disappointed in the chili. The ground beef didnt taste like it was fresh and the amount of grease was overwhelming. Almost $10 for that and it was completely inedible. I hate wasting food because there are so many starving people but I wouldnt even feed this to my dogs.
Just an easy nice place to go for a meal. Dinner specials along with a BYO bottle of wine ... suited us. We ate under the tent.
The staff were amazing and the food was ok. The salad looked like someone pulled up the weeds from their backyard and put it on a plate. The taste wasnt much better. I did try a few different dishes and the one I can say I like was the grilled cheese.

Sat outside with my wife and we both had the Very BEST cheeseburgers either of us has tasted this year. The burger was outstanding. It was perfectly cooked and juicy. You could taste the quality of the beef with every bite. The buns and French fries were perfect. We highly recommend a visit. 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔

I order French toast with eggs & sausage and it was the worst breakfast I ever had. There was strings in the French toast and it made be throw up. I did not touch the French fries nor the egg and sausage and they was still charged me for the meal. I will NEVER return or send ppl here to eat

The Hawthorne Diner has 4 stars for a reason and today I tasted why. I had the monkey business (banana + walnuts + powered sugar + whipped cream) pancakes and my boyfriend had the steak & eggs with home fries. I loved that they cook the banana and walnuts inside the pancakes. Most places put the fresh bananas on top but cooking them inside the pancakes really does make them more indulgent (everything you love about banana walnut muffins).And I never order steak and eggs (because Im not much of a steak person) but I tasted my some of my boyfriends and it made me almost wish I did. The home fries were a great compliment too. Thumbs up in my book!

I went here after taking a walk in Goofle Brook Park. We went at about 2 pm. We both ordered, old fashioned sandwiches I got the French tip and my mom got the chicken sandwich. Both were really good. I wish there was more coleslaw that came with the meal cause it was really good. Also, Im pretty sure our waitress had an accent from New Zealand. It reminded me of Korg.

We had a fantastic experience in this place. We liked the nice environment and the food. The staff were very affable. I am content we finally decided to visit this place.
I recognized the new owner from the Empress Diner in Fair Lawn. He went off on his own bringing all his experience to Hawthorne. So far so good. My wife and I had dinner there and it was very good. Pricing is reasonable and service was excellent. We will all miss Nadia who used to own the diner but it seems to be in good hands.

I wish I had taken a picture of what we ordered. The food was really good. If you like Greek food Id suggest the Pikilia platter (its on the appetizers but its enough for 2 or 3 to share or to eat as a meal for one person). Weve tried a lot on the menu and havent had any issues with anything. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and the management is friendly and checks on tables as well.

Placed order here 2 days in a row ordered same sandwich both times first time was great second time food order was over 30 mins late so the food just sat there getting old and cold they still served to me for my grubhub order i work in fastfood and your not supposed to make the order till the driver is there to ensure fresh hot food upon delivery chicken was overcooked ordered curly fries for extra 2 dollars received regular fries the sauce dried up i couldnt even eat it was horrible get it together customer satisfaction is number one i was not satisfied fresh hot food always

Went here for breakfast many times but now I will never go back lost my business forever. Waitress was not nice like before very unpleasant. When I asked for another tea she said hot water, if you want a tea bag I have to charge you. I said never happened here before or another Breakfast place I went to. I asked to speak to the owner and he came out and said he was too busy and agreed said I should find another place . Ok never again and the prices have been raised and the specias were before 11 now its 10 . Triangle diner had nice mugs and know how to treat people so the bill was 42 for breakfast expensive breakfast they will never see me again

We went there for lunch and got an omelette, a grilled cheese with bacon, one scrambled egg with bacon and a large orange juice. The bill came to $30.88. The charge for the one scrambled egg was $4.95!!!! The food was good but just not worth the price when there are so many good diners in the area with more realistic pricing. Too bad.

I basically grew up here, every Sunday brunch! The staff is incredibly friendly and we were treated like family. It truly is a dining experience. They knew my name, my order, and would bring me crayons :)The reason I gave 4 stars is because of the food. I havent had it in a while, but the food isnt super high quality - it is a diner! Now that Im more health conscious, there are really no options for me there, as their food is loaded with salt and sugar. Its a really good atmosphere, though, and a good treat once in a while. Interior was all new and clean, wait staff was super friendly, totally familiar with the menu, very helpful and awesomely personable. The food was excellent; so good, actually, that I ordered a complete second dish, exactly the same as the first! Reasonable prices, and the owner greeted us personally AND checked with us mid meal to make sure we were totally satisfied. I totally recommend The Earth Diner.
