I cannot recommend Tumblestone any less as a company. What a horrible way to treat their customers. Recently we hired a landscaper to do a major project on our home. This included a water feature with a projected budget for the feature itself. My wife and I went down to Tumblestone to pick out something we liked. After selecting the stone we liked, we were helped by one of the staff to price the water feature. This is where the bait and switch begins. We did not call in and ask for an estimate, we had the Tumblestone employee come out with his pricing book and tape measure to give an accurate estimate on the product. They call it a good faith estimate. This is where they try to be sly. We were quoted $927 for the fountain, boring out the hole to install an LED light, labor and install included. Two hours later, our landscaper went down to see the water feature and get a few more things needed like the pump kit. What happened after that is just terrible customer service. Our landscaper returned with the water feature, no hole bored out, no LED light and was charged almost DOUBLE what we were quoted. He went down to ask about the price and boring that was not done and was confronted with hostility by not only the representative, but the owners son, Zack, who got into a yelling match with my landscaper, who was completely innocent.Without the boring work and LED light, my landscaper was charged $1200, the stone alone was overcharged an additional $300 which was substantially more than the $485 we were quoted. My wife went down to try and find a sensible solution to this, Tod was helpful and understanding, stated that he saw the interaction and felt bad for us being misled like that. Said they should come get the rock and make it right on price. Tod was evidently overridden and we got nothing from Tumblestone. Now we are stuck with a rock that did not get the work done we had on the quote, out of options. How did they even let that stone leave the lot if the work was not done? Their only offer was to charge us to bore the hole if we brought it back to them, which is technically impossible at this point. This is straight up bait and switch fraudulent business practice. We try to support local businesses and this happens, we are treated like our experience and business did not matter, as long as they raked us over the coals for more money, too bad so sad. What an awful way to conduct business. I realize that one homeowner and their fountain is a drop in the bucket for a company like theirs, but I also understand that when you treat a customer poorly, that reverberates negatively. Take a look at the images, the quote and invoice were printed two hours apart on the same day.Tumblestone could not have treated us worse, even after we made the attempt to resolve the issue with civility, they still stuck it to us and would not make it right. I hope that others make the time to review who they do business with in the area, because this company is horrible to deal with once they have your money. Stay far away from these shysters.
They have some really neat products. Bought a fire rock for $4k, unfortunately the whole process was a bit of a disorganized mess with being provided wrong information on the burner sizing and finally with them drilling the key valve hole 4” too high, causing me added expense to adjust the entire gas piping riser. Great products, terrible service. I respectfully emailed the owner to explain my frustrations, he wouldn’t reciprocate courtesy by even responding. I will never do business with them again. There are other options around the area.
Im putting my 2 cent in. I have 2 close friends that attempted to have new rock and fountain features. Both of them were ripped off. Both quoted a price, even after they came out and did a self estimate, the prices went up by almost $1,000 EACH!You look terrible in the eyes of those who live here. Youre a poor excuse for a business.
Love these guys. Helped me out with my backyard project. I send all of my friends there! Thanks for the great service.
Great stone products and great service
Great. Lots of different landscaping products.
Excellent customer service during trying times. Wonderful product! Will certainly be back soon for our next project.
Tumble Stone has been a long time partner with us. They have always done a great job and been fair with their pricing. Highly recommend!
I worked for Tumble Stone for nearly a decade. Coolest place Ive worked in my entire life. Tumble Stone a small mom and pop landscape supply and custom stoneworks company thats doing big things! The owners are good people and in my opinion are the leading experts in stone fabrication. Their niche is manufacturing natural boulder fountains.for residential and commercial installations. With everything else that they offer, it can get crazy busy sometimes. So I would recommend going with a little bit of patience and to spend some time looking around if you have to wait.
Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back for future needs!
We have a small pickup trailer that we back under their hopper. Its always well balanced and generous. Their prices are competitive.
Tumblestone is a great source for both masonry stone and hardscape material. We recently did a project using some beautiful paver material recommended by Zack and his team and love the final outcome. If you are looking for stone, hardscape material or a unique rock feature for your new home, Tumblestone needs to be your first stop! Excellent products and great prices!
Very very helpful staff, moved some fountains out for us to look at, and hooked every one of the fountains we wanted to look at up to water.
