I got a few things I wanted, but I wanted to get the cordless shopvac that I have been trying to get since last year. On the end of an isle they had an advertisement for that exact shopvac, get it now for 50% off. $59.88.... NO ONE I TALKED TO KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IT, OR ABOUT THE SIGN HANGING UP IN FRONT OF THEM. Again they said they didnt have it & its not on their computer. Very frustrated with the situation!

We bought our washer and dryer from here 5 years ago and the employee there helped us find the perfect set that still works great for us. Always seems to have great employees that help us find just what we need.

These folks were nice, I showed up about 13:00 asking to stay till the AM, 0600, they said without hesitation just stay off to the side its no problem at all... so, now that I know this, Ill just come here from now on

This looks like a typical Home Depot store, but the employees are not typical Home Depot employees. My daughter and I were traveling through and stopped to get something we couldnt get in the small community we live in. We were very impressed with how friendly and helpful the employees were. It was just like going into a store in our home community where we know everyone that works there. The store was amazingly clean and orderly, as well.

During covid times where mask enforcement is concerned, what the signs say and what Home Depot actually does are two different things. We were in on a crowded Saturday and basically every aisle we turned down had a person without a mask. Its city ordinance presently to wear a mask in Hays Kansas. And I get it - its difficult to ask folks to do something when they already know better and you dont want to upset a customer; but lets consider the law abiding customer and their safety too. Please do better, Home Depot!

Its a huge store but if you search their website for what you are looking for before you go it gives you the location in the store of where the item is. Very helpful.

I visit home depot about once a week, mainly for work related items. Prices are about the best for the area, but expect little knowledgeable advice or help finding an item. I visit the depot if I know exactly what I want and know approximately where said item is located. Otherwise..if you want customer service or need a more obscure item, Ace is the place.

The girls in paint were great, very helpful and friendly. Everywhere else is hit or miss. South checkout area is usually packed with employees, who always seem busy with something else tho and the most help ive received from that area in my last 3 trips was being directed to the self checkout at the other end of the store.

Good enough Home Depot, but do yall ever replace the shredded American Flag? Every time I come, the flag is always ragged and torn. As a business that takes pride in hiring Veterans, I would think youd take greater pride in the Flag you choose to fly.

Had 5 associates walk by and not one of them asked if we needed help. The young man who checked us out was very polite which is the reason for the 4 star rating.

First Saturday of every month, Home Depot offers a fun project for the kids to build and paint. It has been rewarding to watch my oldest son who is 3yrs learn how to use a hammer and watch his painting skills improve. Also fun to see his creative mind work. Thank you home depot for positive opportunities for family time with the children.

I ordered a refrigerator. First tried online but it wouldn’t let me change the delivery zip code (COVID) so I called. The staff were inexperienced and tried 3 times (unsuccessfully) to put in my order. I had to repeat my information multiple times. Finally a manager got on the phone and the order was placed. April 15. No big deal! I live an hour away and called may 5 to make sure it was delivered to the store before I drove to pick it up. 10am they told me it was scheduled for delivery but they weren’t sure if it was delivered on last nights truck or if it will be here on todays truck or the truck after they close! So I called back at 3 and they said it had been rescheduled for May 21. I’m irrate at this point! So fine, I’ll wait but if I decide to cancel later, will I get a refund. They said yes but couldn’t cancel until it was delivered to the store. Today a deposit was made to my account from Home Depot. I called to see if they went ahead and canceled my order, sure enough but they asked if I wanted to reorder. I asked if it would still be here on the 21st. They told me we’re not sure but we can try. I refused. All in all, horrible experience. Horrible customer service. And the staff is unaware of what’s going on in the store. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Very helpful greeters. Im on crutches temporarily, needed help getting my purchase and loading it. Paid and was told someone was getting my stuff and would load it. The greeter asked one employee who was busy and then called someone. The busy guy finished what he was doing, walked around a bit, checked out a customer while avoiding looking my way. After 30 min, a manager came by and started a conversation. It took about 5 minutes and the busy guy had my stuff and had it loaded. Otherwise 5 star

This has been a horrible experience. We recently bought a home and remodeled a home. We decided Home Depot Hays Ks would be better to shop than local. Big MiSTAKE!! It has taken months to get our product. 5 trips and each and every time we have got partial supplies because “not everything has come in or it wasn’t in the truck. On top of everything cabinet design were all flawed didn’t fit to Be operable, damaged cabinets and missing counter tops. Today We arrive to finally get our counter Top and the many cabinets that needed to be replaced and well here we go again, not even the counter top color we ordered. Here it is Christmas, so do we take this counter top or do we wait and go for who knows how long for the right counter top. After many thoughts the decision was made to take the counter top. Then we’re ready to load and it comes out damaged. Yep here we go. This has been a horrific experience and lesson learned. Sometimes better price ends up being the worst experience. Would have been more efficient to buy locally then driving 150 miles to receive poor quality. They deserve no stars!!!

Excellent variety. Had what we needed and we were able to keep working on our project without waiting for a shipment.

One woman was checking customers out at the register. One man in line needed help with a special order. There was no one else in the area. This woman left me standing in the check out line to go help him with his special order. Even after he left the area she kept walking into the back area looking for something. When I asked for help she said be patient please. In the mean time another employee came up and checked out the people at the back of the line on another register. She turned and looked at me and got on the phone. I should have left the items and walked out but I walked half way down the store to another register and checked myself out. Next time I will buy what I need in Salina at Lowes. I doubt they would have treated a man this way.

You needed some plumbing parts

We always have a hard time finding an employee thats willing to help us. Most of the time they are rude and act like we are an inconvenience.

We have a painting business therefore we have used allot of different brands of paint. Painting white trim is the toughest to cover. June & I were talking to Roy about it cuz we knew he could help. He recommended #75 primer & Cabinet & Trim paint. Its absolutely amazing! For the first time ever it took one coat of primer & finally just one coat of the white paint. Roy we love coming in when your working cuz our colors are always right & if we dont know something... We always know you will! Thanx Roy!

Personal service varies from visit to visit, however, they always seem to have what youre looking for at a reasonable price. Their website is easy to use and ordering special order items are easier than doing so through the personnel in the store.

Compared to other Home Depot’s I’ve visited, I left here with somewhat of a mediocre impression.While it’d be impossible to evaluate every employee (I’m sure some are exceptional), the one I mainly dealt with wasn’t. I refrain from sharing his name because I’d just feel bad if this review hurt his chance at a job. Still, he didn’t know what he was doing. At all.Another fellow was hanging out with the ladies. When one asked him to re-shelf some hardware I didn’t need, he grumbled. Sure enough—when I walked down the hardware aisle later—there my pile of random stock was, just chilling in one spot where it didn’t belong, yet he was back kicking it with the girls. No, this didn’t affect me directly, but that kind of attitude isn’t one of a team player.This being said, there are folks here who know their stuff and do one heck of a job at their job. So four stars it is.

I was pleased with the window shades I order, hope they turn out when I receive my order. It was a nice store the help was really great.

The virus has ruined this place. Spent 10s of 1000 of dollars there and have to park to go into the door at the opposite end of where I am going to load materials. Walmart can count people at both of their entrances why cant Depot.
