It is employees like Yesenia, that keep companies in business, as she was a wonderful representation of how customer service works. I appreciate her being so sweet. The team running this facility get an A+! Always happy, friendly and very attentive to customer needs. LaDonna helped me pick the right size for my needs and was very patient while I decided between two different units. Yasenia stopped by during move in to make sure I was satisfied and answered my remaining questions. I love that all units have their own individual alarm system. The alarm is kind of trigger happy but gives me peace of mind knowing that it actually works! Recommended.

RUDE RUDE RUDE.. This place has the RUDEST lady working here. I cannot believe these people.I was overcharged $25 dollars when I moved in. When I asked if I could have that $25 dollars credited towards the next months rent the girl in the office got all bent out of shape thinking I was making it all up to weasel them out of money. I couldnt believe this lady was getting upset.. It is a real weird situation because there is another girl that works there that is so nice to me and she is very cool about this mess. but she isnt the one that makes decisions there. The other girl does. And now for some reason they made it so I cant even get into my storage after 4:30 pm. now that is total B.S.. because I havent done anything but ask about this $25 dollars. I am attaching screenshots of my receipt and my bank statement to show that I aint making this stuff up.Hopefully somebody will see this situation and make it better. But knowing this lady in the office she will insist I did something wrong.. First she told me it was a 25 dollar move in charge but the receipt doesnt reflect this charge. Then she said that I left a mess and it is a 25 dollar charge for that. And now I find out she made it so I can only get in during office hours. I havent argued with anybody but her attitude really makes it super hard.

I dont think my other review went through.But just wanted to say that I am impressed to see LaDonna cleaning where we put our codes with a wipe. So we dont get sick.

Needed a storage unit to keep some extra furniture. After searching nearby facilities we decided on Hayward Self Storage. Yessenia was very helpful and courteous. She held the last remaining unit of the size we wanted for a few days to give us time to make a decision, without being pressured.We called to arrange a time to sign the agreement and Yessenia had our unit cleaned,sanitized and ready for us to move in. She was throughout in explaining everything and walked us through the steps needed to get in and out.Definitely recommend if you need a storage facility in Hayward.

I needed a storage unit and in the past I have had not much luck with availability and customer service. Not this time! Yesenia has AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! She listened to my needs and showed me some units so I could find the right fit. Getting set up was easy. Price fit my budget but at this point it wasnt about the money. It was about the service. It was very easy to acquire a storage unit at Hayward Self Storage. It appears to be a very secure facility. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly.I recently needed to move up to a larger storage unit. The process was very trouble-free thanks to the staff at Hayward Self Storage.

Shady! False advertising! Bad customer service! This was the 2nd of a few storage place I planned to visit. I told the site manager this while she showed me the unit. To get me to stay and not keep looking she offered me half off my second month. I agreed. That night as I was moving things in I noticed a sign on the fence that said $1 for the first month. I hadn’t noticed it earlier because I was focused on my GPS and finding the entrance. The next day I called to inquire as to why I was offered half off a second month and not given the advertised offer. I was told that they don’t have any of those units available and that they aren’t ever available. The rep said it has been brought up many times and she is not even sure why the sign is up. This is the definition of false advertising. To make matters worse I was not charged half off my 2nd month I was charged the entire amount and my checking account was overdrawn. I reached out to them and they admitted the problem on their end and apologized but offered no remedy for the fact they charged me double what they were supposed to and caused me to incur an overdraft fee. They offered no remedy at all except that the discount would now apply to next month’s changes. I escalated this to district manager Mike St Clair who is hands down the most unprofessional district manager I have ever dealt with. He was rude and treated me as if the problems they created were an inconvenience to him. Last I check I was a paying customer and I was the one not only inconvenienced but also put in a dire situation with my account overdrawn. I am a mother of 5 off work with a ruptured calf muscle. This is more than a mistake to me this impacts my life and ability to care for my children. This is hands down the worst service I have ever received and now I have to figure out how to move my things out of here (the second move in a month)while injured and without a truck. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

They always responded and returned my calls within a day.I rented a 10 x 10 unit from July 2020 to October 2020. I could not have been more pleased with the experience and best part about everything, I never lost any of my items. Felt like an extension of my home. Their prices on mattress bags are also very nicely priced and convenient.

9/21/2020 - ok so first off, this is the second time I have used Hayward self storage in the last 2 years. And I was so happy with my first experience that when it was time to look for a storage place again I did not hesitate to call Ladonna up again. Of course she remembered my family and our situation from before. Not only did Ladonna help me with getting a unit right away. Talk about a sigh of relief for my family and I. Also, Hayward self storage had the best rate is what my sister said because she was calling around looking for a unit and when I told her what Ladonna quoted me it was easy to run down there and sign some papers with Hayward self storage. Also, once we got our things in the unit, Yessenia was such a help as well! The lightbulb didn’t work and she came and no problem fixed it for us. She was also the one there to help me end my lease. She’s very compassionate and gave me nothing but well wished. These ladies work hard and I felt safe knowing our things were safe because they know what they are doing over there! When we lived in SoCal and had to use a storage place, it didn’t compare to Ladonna and Yessenia. So a big thank you to those ladies! I’ll be coming back again!

Its probably the nicest and cleanest facilities in the greater bay area. Well kept and easy access. Their prices are a bit high but worth it. Maybe provide some form of discount to those that have been a long time loyal customer and with multiple units.
