This company is shadey. They said they wouldnt run my credit unless we came to an agreeable purchase price but did run my credit, and then when I turned down the vehicle they turned it in like I failed the credit check but have a score in 700s. They tried every high pressure trick in the book. Then after wasting an hour and a half of my time (all I wanted was a price) guy follows me to my car trying to pressure me into purchase. It was a bad experience and Im happy I can take my money to a different dealership. Horrible experience.
Junk cars that are way way over priced. Our warranty is worthless but cost us thousands.
I came in to mile high motors after my car was totaled. The staff was amazingly nice. They did everything to get me into a very nice car that was in my price range without any hassle the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And I cannot recommend them enough. The car I bought even had a busted tail light which they ordered a new one for me and installed. After visiting almost every dealership in town I cannot recommend them enough they are hands down the best dealership in helena with a great selection of cars and trucks!
Spotted a car I wanted but out of my price range. For trade they offered me 4k. Then they had a special event and the car dropped 2k. The salesman (Chuck) didnt bother to call me, it had only been 2 days. I phoned up and he tried to act surprised about the sale. I asked him about my trade in and said he would call me back. Hours go by(while he waits for someone else to buy it). I call back again and he says he can give me 2k for my trade in.So 4k trade in presale brings total to 13k. Or 2k trade in sale, brining it to 13k.These guys are jokers. Plenty of other places to buy a vehicle. Chuck sucks
Id love to give this place a better review but after buying one vehicle here id never do it again. It took 6.5 hours of me being at the store till I left with my vehicle. The vehicle was never mechanically gone over. They hit our credit 5 different times dropping our credit score many points. The list goes on.
Less than pleased. I went in looking for a car, and I had a budget. The man I spoke with didnt care about what type of car I was looking for, or my budget. They made me feel very uncomfortable, I had to ask for my keys back after they looked at my car for a trade in so I could leave. The found out that they ran my credit a few days later when I wasnt there, without my permission. Never will I step foot in this place again.
In and out in 2 hours, great service, great deals. Jason is the best!
Drove from Great Falls to purchase a particular truck we had been shopping for. During test drive, truck made a funny humming noise. We agreed to purchase the truck AS LONG AS that noise was fixed before we drove it away. Manager told us it was fixed, so we wrote the check. Should have driven it again ourselves (hindsight is 20/20). Drove it back to Great Falls and the humming began again. We had it in the shop the SAME day we purchased it. Mile High was willing to pay for the repairs done that day ($400), but it was back in the shop a few days later for a similar problem on the rear wheels. They did not pay for the final fix that stopped the humming problem (additional $600). Weve owned the truck for 2+ weeks, only had it in our possession for about 7 days of that because its been in the shop. We are pleased with the vehicle we purchased now that the brake situation is taken care of, since its what we were looking for. However we will never do business with them again because we drove an unsafe vehicle home at 80 mph so that they could get a deal done. Brake parts were literally crumbling as they took them off to replace them. Safety inspection my hiney.
I really enjoyed my visit to Mile High Motors. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The cars are top quality and the prices are excellent. If you live in or near Helena and are looking for a good used car, you should definitely come here.
*Update: They are now calling themselves Capital City Auto - Helenas newest dealership, but its the same people, same dealership, just new owner. Super disappointed in the customer service here. Our salesman was Chuck and he is unfortunately not very knowledgeable about cars. When our check engine light came on 3 days after we bought a vehicle, he said, Its not really a problem unless it starts blinking. It turned out to be a bad transmission, so the manager, Darrell, and Chuck kept promising to help us pay for the new transmission our car needed, but never followed through. They did lend us a vehicle off the lot while the car was being diagnosed. I want to support local business, but when you make promises over and over and dont follow through, it is hard to recommend them or want to go back - ever.
Bought my high school daughter a car from Joe. Allegedly the mechanic went through the car and replaced the struts. Two weeks later car was making same noise so my daughter took it back. Joe wouldnt even test drive it but thought they replaced only one strut but would talk to the mechanic and get back to me - never did. I went with my daughter back to Mile High and had the mechanic Bucky test drive it. He said it wasnt safe to drive, hed have a look at and would call me the next day, never did. I called a couple days later and spoke to the mechanic. He said the sway bar was ready to snap and the ball joints were bad and it would cost about $200 to repair. I picked it up and tried talking to the owner Marvin. When I approached Marvin to try and explain my disappointment in their selling me an unsafe car for my teen daughter he just walked away., It was apparent that the sale of the car was more important to him than my daughters life..He wouldnt talk to me and in fact was pretty rude. I had a different mechanic look at the car and guess what, sway bars were fine but the bolt holding them on was loose. Tightened it and alls fine. Thanks Mile High for trying to rip us off but most importantly putting my daughters life in danger. Would I recommend you? Absolutely NOT.
Mike has been awesome. He needs a raise. Bent over backwards to work with me and bank. 5 Stars
I am happy to say I am a customer! This day was great! Thank you Chuck!
Looking for a car for my son. Chuck showed us cars within his price range & good condition. I would recommend Chuck if you are in the market.
The Truck i bought from Mile High Motors has been a good vehichle since i bought it, but my experience purchasing it was not good. I was talked into buying a extended warranty threw them and now i moved and lost the pamplete he gave me, i have recently called them multiple times and have been told thier financing dept manager will get back to me from staff, i have left him messages, so i truly feel i bought a bogus warranty. So be careful and dont let them try to pressure you
Be courteous and they will work with you. They worked with me to resolve a faulty transmission and a resulting leaky axle seal. As long as you have the proper paperwork, its not bad.
Great service. SHAWN is awesome!
Our experience was pretty good, but what upset me the most was that we were told that if we refer someone to buy a vehicle from, they would receive $100. Well my husband referred a friend to this dealership and she bought a vehicle from them last month, and he still has not received his $100 from the referral! Not very happy with an unkept promise!
Bought a great truck with low mileage. Friendly staff. Good place to do business.
I will not buy a vehicle from them ever. My son got one from them. The shop had it more than my son did. When they finally got it fixed, it ended up with a used transmission in it. Then when he had is because of the car issues all they said was is the car okay. Plus the car was way over priced for what it was worth. So he is still having to pay on a car he dont have because it was totalled. Should maybe do a double check on used car trade ins before one kills somebody. Luckily my son wasnt hurt.
Mile High worked hard to get my family a nice new truck and car. Would recommend them to everyone I know.
The Better Business Bureau is waiting for a response from the business in regards to this complaint.Complaint InformationDec. 2015 I purchased 2009 f150 from Mile High Motors w/ powertrain warranty through Alpha. After first oil change in Apr. 2016 the check engine light came on and would tremor when idle and at low speed. Took it to a mechanic recommended by the dealership in which the truck was in the shop for 4 weeks while they awaited for various approvals from the warranty company and multiple parts. The engine troubles dissipated but would intermittently tremor for periods after each oil change. In May 2017 the engine began to tremor more frequently and intensely. It was brought to 2 different ford dealerships for diagnostics, in which it was discovered that the engine had critically low oil pressure and the engine needed to be replaced. When submitting a claim to Alpha warranty, it was learned that the claim was declined due to modifications to the vehicle (which it was purchased with a lift and big tires). After discussion with Alpha I learned that the claim in May of 2016 was also declined due to modifications to the vehicle and the dealership was supposed to cancel the warranty, in which I was not informed. Instead the dealership paid for the $2500 repairs in 2016 and brushed the invalid warranty under the rug. I contacted the dealership June 2016 to inform them of the problem, in which they contacted alpha to change the warranty contract by paying a $200 surcharge to upgrade the warranty to cover the modifications....a year and a half after the sale of the truck. The warranty now will cover the repair but only up to $3500 though a new engine was quoted at $8000. When I requested to speak with the general manager, Mike Sullivan, of the dealership to resolve this issue, he stated what did you expect when buying a used vehicle and refused to offer any solution to the problem.
Bought a van, here last year....Great salesman.....and my van is still awesime!

They help me get a very nice car
Great dealership, good cars, and smart salesman. recommended for sure.
So, I took my wifes van in and traded it off.. I got a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica... My credit sucked but they got me a deal. The van I trade in had nothing wrong with it... I drove the car off and with in two days the car had problems... I found out that one of the fuel pumps was not transferring fuel to the other side of the tank.. I would only get half a tank off oUT of it then drop to empty and stall in the middle of traffic. I also found out that I could not fill the tank full with out it clickingoing off after like five dollars.. I took it back in and said that something was wrong... They said they would look at it. I took it back and they said that that is what was wrong and they would replace it... I had to pay two hundred dollars. I dont think that was right of them but I paid it... I was all happy when I got the car back and I was on my way back east to see family and it did it again. They didnt fix any thing on it... I called them and told them that it didnt fix it. They said to bring back in but I seriously dont trust them... If they would have donever it right the first time I would go back there to get another car or truck but not going to happen... Sorry Mile High but that is really screwed up... I crawled Un the car and see what I had done to see if you fixed it but you didnt... I hope you guys the best of luck but you guys are not some one I will recommend or come to you guysoon again...
