The staff is always friendly and welcoming! Food is great and prices are very reasonable. The strawberry cake is the best I have ever had. My new go to for breakfast/sweets spot.

I bought a cake and kept it in the refrigerator until the guest of honor arrived.within an hour the icing started sliding down the side. We cut the cake and served but the icing continued to fall down. I contacted them today and spoke to Renea which said she didnt know what could of happened that it was buttercream, maybe the temperature.I kept it in the Refrigerator until the party arrived. I sent her a picture. Waited for about 15 20 minuets and called them back. Because i didnt hear from her.She implied again that maybe the temperature she didnt know what could of happened. She said she was sorry but was very defensive instead of apologetic.Again indicating she didnt know what could of happened that maybe the temperature. It was an inside event not outside in the heat.She did not offer anything but was defensive. I dont want to pay 70 dollars for a cake that the icing slides down the side. I know things happen but the problem was she was not very apologetic at all and didnt even offer a free slice of cake or discount on next order.There want be a next order.In response to ownerIts sad that u are just defensive and insinuating it is my fault by not keeping a cake in the refrigerator. I kept it in fridge Saturday til Sunday afternoon..this is just tuesday..all the icing has fell down now. Buttercream cakes should not do this.The red velvet cake I bought prior to this wasnt in the fridge at all and never did this so u must of mixed it icing wrong. I have had hundreds of buttercream icing cake that I have not been refrigerated and never had this problem.

I discovered this place about a year ago and it has quickly become a favorite. We have tried their cakes, their blueberry muffins and my personal favorite, their homemade cinnamon rolls. Let me tell you, if you are a cinnamon roll fan you need to make the trip. I love them so much that I surprise my grandkids with trips there. Everything we have tried is always delicious. Please drop by and support this local, family owned business. They are Good People and the service is excellent.

The service was excellent. I came from Homewood to taste there famous Banana Pudding and I must say I was not disappointed. I have been 3 different places and not until now I found what I want. It reminds me of old school food. The best food!!!! Growing up and my grandmother would make homemade from SCRATCH food. It’s nothing like it!!!!!! I will most definitely be back.

We were ready to celebrate the first family gathering since Covid. We usually use Edgars for the sweets but I wanted to try somewhere new. The reviews for Brown Sugar Desserts were very good and I like to support independent local businesses. I wasnt impressed when I first entered the bakery and had a few concerns when placing my order. The person at the counter was nice but appeared to be new. He had to consult a man in the back whose responses did not seem very customer savvy. He seemed exasperated when I didnt give a clear enough answer for a design on a cake. I should have left then but I didnt. I placed my order and while the items were professionally done, the taste was just average. The cakes were also somewhat dry. The most telling review is the fact that out of 22 family members, only 1 took home extra cake.

Great place to grab a quick dessert! Super friendly staff! Cant wait to return...

Daughter surprised me with a “Happy 60th” chocolate cake (with a cheesecake layer hidden inside) and it was to die for! Best cake ever!!

Love this place! Always a fun day to stop by on the way home from work and pick up a surprise breakfast treat for my family! Seriously, their cinnamon rolls are the definition of perfection. Definitely worth your time to stop by and enjoy!

I do not recommend this establishment at all, the owner is very unprofessional. I purchased and reserved a cake from her to serve for Christmas. I was scheduled to pick the cake up 2 days before Christmas at noon, when I arrived well before she was already closed. She did not return to her bakery until the new year mid January and refused to replace the cake and issue a refund. She basically stole from me, I’m disputing the charge with my bank and warning everyone I know about her business practices.

We love Brown Sugar Desserts by Renea! I havent tried anything I havent liked yet, the breakfast bowl and the cookies and cream pudding are my absolute favorites :)

Great service, I had to wait for the grits to be done, but was offered a coffee on the house while I waited. The food was very good.

We tried several things. Everything we tried was great. Cinnamon rolls are amazing, by far the best Ive tried! My kids loved the strawberry shortcake and banana pudding. I highly recommend!
