Scam they stole my to pay other accounts and would not stop taking money from my account everyday for other accounts. Then said I am canceled and will have to pay the balance of the account. Hope this saves someone from dealing with them.

You service is lousy. My service contract is up in March, 2021. I DO NOT WANT ADT AS MY SECURITY SERVICE.

I called in to this company for an alarm. They charge $107 up front and don’t tell you in advance that they are going to charge you $299 to activate when they come out. The installer said I would be getting $100 visa gift card so that lessened the pain of the $299. I’m a month in and still have no gift card and as I call in, I’m hung up on and then told I don’t get the $100 gift card . Rip off. Go directly to ADT not a vendor

I have had a terrible experience with this ADT provider. I signed my contract in July of 2019 for my first house rental. I recently moved in with a roommate at the end of my lease because she bought a house. My roommate decided to go with a different security service for HER OWN house. When I moved I was told that my only options are to either pay 75% of remainder of the balance of my service OR to sign an entirely new three year contract for the new address (which I obviously dont need because my roommate has their own security service through Ring).Every representative I spoke with was rude and treated me like I was trying to rip them off - I understand that I am in contract, however, people do move often, and none of this was explained to me when signing up for this security service. After much drudgery, I decided to continue making monthly payments until I can afford to pay the 75% of my balance. What is MOST concerning is that since I moved almost four months ago, ADT has still not called me to question why my alarm system is not active or responding.I felt that this needed to be shared.

Me and my Husband just bought a house and we got the door bell camera and the window monitors...we’ve had 2 door bell cameras because the first one wouldn’t connect to the wifi so they put in a new one the new one worked for about 3 weeks then wouldn’t record any movement like it’s supposed to, and they screen is black and white so they fixed it then a week later it went back to being messed up. The ADT workers are very nice but disappointed in ADT products.

The two men who came to our home to review our order and do the installation were very informative and totally professional. They were obviously focused on providing quality service, and ensuring that we had a system that would provide for the security of our home and was a system that we wanted. They invested extra effort to ensure that it was done right, was fully functional, and that we were comfortable with its use.

They lied to get an appointment. Came out and disconnected my current alarm and then tried to up sell me. They couldnt install the system requested and knew so when they set the appointment. Tech claimed she wasnt skilled enough to reconnect my current system but for me to call the office and they would send out someone.Called and spoke to the GM Chris and was told they dont reconnect systems and I would have to contact me current company and pay them the service call.STAY AWAY not only was the appointment a BAIT & SWITCH, they refused to put my system back online.VERY DISHONEST!!!!

Protect your home/ Defender came out to connect our existing hardwire system to their central monitoring. Price advertised was $27.99. They tried to up sell $4200 worth of equipment. We were not interested we wanted the national special offer. They removed my existing panel and in the process it caught fire. After mounting their panel and transformer, the realized I had a VOIP phone line and could NOT continue. Now I have NO working system and they said I needed to call the 800# to complain. No Im sorry, no well fix, nothing. Just call the 800#. I did that and they said they cant do anything. I need to find someone to fix it and send them to bill to see if they will pay for it. (again, not they will pay, but they will review). And the wanted 2-3 estimates. All of this I had to do and schedule, with on guarantee theyd pay for it. It is the worst customer service Ive ever had. DO NOT USE THEM.... Installer was Wolfgang and his supervisor Baxter.

I switched to ADT after having Cox for a little over 4 years. It is a much better system and not glitchy like my previous one. When I had my system installed back in September by Travis, he did a great job and did not try to upsell me beyond what I stated that I wanted. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is I was given an offer that included a $100 mail in rebate. Well, I finally got a notice in the mail stating they have given the maximum amount of rebates. Had I known that, I would have used one of the cashback offers one of my credit cards offered.

In April of 2014 we sold a restaurant in Las Vegas which had ADT service for less than 1 year. ADT informed me that the contract was with Protect Your Home and that I would need to call them, which I did. I spoke with the customer service department at Protect Your Home and explained that the new owner wanted to continue service with ADT under my contract or a new contract. Protect Your Home customer service led me to believe that this was possible and in the same phone call I gave my phone to the new owner of the restaurant who gave Protect Your Home his personal information. I was not informed that there would be any transfer or cancellation charge of any nature. I was aware that there was a termination fee but since Protect Your Home was being paid for the contract I was led to believe that this contract would be satisfied by the new owner and that the new owner was assuming the responsibilities. During the next 6 months I had all mail forwarded to my personal address. I did not receive any notification of cancellation, correspondence, invoice or any phone call or email from Protect Your Home informing me that the contract was cancelled, service was cancelled or that I owed anything to Protect Your Home. On December 31, 2014 I was contacted by Hillcrest Davidson and Associates for collection of a cancellation fee of $1,117.18 for the Protect Your Home Contract. They claimed that Hillcrest had sent a collection letter to me in November (after the forwarding mail had ended) and the letter was returned. I explained the situation and asked to speak with Protect Your Home which was denied since the matter had been turned over for collection. While I should have demanded some written confirmation from Protect Your Home in April that the matter had been resolved I was confident that if there was a problem or the matter was not resolved that Protect Your Home would have contacted me if there was a problem. AND if Protect Your Home would have told me that there was any cancellation fee I would have continued to pay the monthly payments and collected the money from the new owners for the balance of the contract. What happened was that Protect Your Home wrote a new contract with the new owner and also sent my contract for collection without informing me in any way shape or form that they had cancelled my contract or that there would be a fee associated with transferring service to a new owner. Protect Your Home was paid twice for the same installation and twice for the same service. Once from the new Owner and the termination fee from me. The collection agency called Protect Your Home and got a reduced offer from Protect Your Home (which could have been a planned scam for all I know) and if I did not accept the offer today they would report this to the credit bureau which would affect my credit rating. I paid the amount as I could not afford my credit rating to be reduced since I have other businesses which need credit.

The service technician was very knowledgeable and helpful when we had questions. He reassured us when we felt our questions or concerns might be trivial. His tutorial on how to use the system seemed a bit rushed to us, and he gladly repeated everything for us.
