Good quality meats and produce, excellent selections, hot meals cafe in the back of the store, fresh baked goods and super friendly staff makes shopping here a great experience.

Please check your meats before you pay. The meat guy like to be sly and charge you for ranchers when you order diesmillo. Other than that the place is cool. The ladies in the back are always sweet. Can’t say the same about the blonde older lady cashier. Acting like her ish don’t stink.

Cuevas Meat Market is a nice little market to pick up Mexican products if you cannot get to La Bonita or another larger market. However, if you are looking for good customer service, you wont get it here. People who work here are not very nice starting with the cashiers. They never smile or make conversation with you unless they know you. Especially, the blonde haired woman cashier. I said hello to her once and she did not respond. When I called her on it, she responded with a smirking remark.

This is a great little market. They have a little bit of everything (fruits, veggies, a meat counter, etc) and their tamales are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING every single time!

Meat department is good and friendly always helpful.Cashiers need to be more friendly especially that old blonde lady that thinks shes still in her 20s needs an attitude adjustment very rude!!

Good small Mexican market, they have really good produce. Their meat selection is good, the marinated meats are outstanding, great flavor. Kitchen is really good, the pork grinds (chicharrones botaneros) are better than any other market. Bakery is also good and fresh. The building could use some maintenance specially the front of the store. Personnel is very kind, except the lady that I believe is the manager, shes most of the time taking on her Bluetooth while helping on the checkout, not really friendly. Overall great little market, recommend.

A nice little neighborhood Mexican market. There is always plenty of parking. Food and produce is pretty fresh, prices are a little bit higher than other comparable markets for example, Cardenas, but its also alot further away from this area, so I guess we are paying a bit more for the conviniance of having a market like this on the neighborhood.

I am giving 5 stars because I just recently checked out La Bonita which is literally up the street from me but Id rather take that drive to cuevas! Keep up the good work cuevas! This is the place to go for carne asada. We always end up buying at least a pound more than we think we’ll need because it gets eaten.We recently tried the al pastor and it was also really tasty.We always get the chips, up near the meat case, and the salsa, over in the produce section, to go with our meal. One of the salsas is pretty spicy. Maybe mix it with the other if if you want a medium one.The guacamole keeps going up in price, so I just make my own. It’s better than theirs anyway. Small avocados are 2 for $1, which is a good deal.They also sell masa if you want to press your own tortillas.The back has sweet breads and a taco shop.

This places brings back my California days. I lived in a town called pacoima and this places brings that feeling back.. I love every inch of this store.

You need to teach you staff to be nice! We shop here a lot and the cashiers are always in bad moods! The only people who deserve praise are your butchers who are always nice and always serve us with great customer service.

My family really likes this place. The produce is good for a close by place and we like their salsas and The chicken tamales are very good.

I’ve been coming here for years. The ladies in the back favor Latinos over Gringos every time! Their meats, although delicious, are increasingly expensive. But I do appreciate that I can get specialty items and beautiful vegetables and fruits at a reasonable price. Front of the store service is inconsistent...sometimes I think why do I give these people my money when they are blatantly rude?! My Mexican boyfriend has even told me to boycott this establishment because of their treatment of me and the fact that their prices keep going up and up. But because of my love for him, I want to prepare as best I can the authentic dishes of his youth. We DO support these small Latino businesses as BEST we can. Clean up your act Cuevas!

Every trip to Cuevas Meat Market is reminiscent of my shopping experiences of 50+ years ago when trips to the neighborhood market were a daily errand. Cuevas is a small market in which one can get all the ingredients needed for supper that evening. There are bolillos, fresh and still warm from the oven, select produce for salad as well as the hot side-dish, and a superb cut of meat for tonights entree. And I mustnt forget desert; perhaps some sweet pastries baked just that morning or perhaps Ill pick up all the ingredients to make one of my own specialties from scratch.The Cuevas Meat Market is nothing like those huge supermarkets where you find enormous mounds of vegetables and fruits that require picking through in order to find a few that havent been bruised or cut during shipping.My trips to Cuevas are typically short and satisfying because I know where everything is and they dont have miles of aisles to trudge up & down. However, if I do need assistance, there is always someone nearby to lend a hand or friendly expertise.Im not sure if I get more pleasure from the convenience, the food quality, the staff, or the atmosphere, but I do know the combination of all of them gives me more than enough reason to keep going back.

Awesome selection of latino goods. I moved from North Las Vegas to henderson about a year ago & wasnt able to find any mexican stores around me until I found this one & it even has a restaurant in the back! Bought some conchas, carnitas, & ceviche!!! Food was sooooo good! But the lady kept staring at my girlfriend & I, like hardcore, I dont know why but it was kinda awkward when we were trying to order our food, maybe because we were an interracial couple & I had to explain everything the worker said to my girlfriend, but who knows, other than that, its pretty great.

I come here like 3 times a week for meat and vegtables and fruit I like this place sometimes the cashier is friendly sometimes not but really who cares in and out and I have a cheap dinner stop crying about the service they have never been rude maybe not talkative but never rude I am sure they dont REALLY care that you thought they were rude just like in your job you dont care if someone may of thought you were rude for 5 minutes of you dealing with them so just get your food and shut it ... That all you came in the store for anyways

Great place to shop with pretty good prices. Ive been a pretty consistent customer for over a year and shopped at most of the stores in the area; prices are on the lower end with really good quality on produce. The marinated flank steak is the only meat Ive tried, but it was lean & tasty. Try their chips! I have people in Oregon begging for them...

Go there 4,5, maybe 6 times a week. Always fresh inexpensive veg. Love the butchers counter. Prepared food is delicious. Bolillos are great. Recommend highly.

Love this place great produce, the food in the back is really good, clean though most of the workers seem to not talk to us and act like maybe we should not be there but still I like the place. The best thing is the produce always the best looking and presented great.

I grew up going to Panaderias and Carnicerias and they are all pretty similar. I love them because I can get things like Oaxaca cheese, oxtails, and goat which typical grocery stores dont sell. To buy ordinary items like ketchup and coffee I do not recommend because they are insanely overpriced. All in all, this is a decent little market, particularly if you love cooking/eating Mexican food like I do. Viva Mexico!

2.99 for one avacado! I bought 2 for 6 bucks! I will grow my own tree. Ripoff! Oh, I called to ask about prices, they hung up on me! Called again and guy ridiculed me like I was some crazy customer. Decent food. God awful employees and customer service. For Real...

My husband and I came from Baldwin Park CA and our family which live in Henderson NV introduce us to Cuevas Meat Market to buy ribs marinated.. OMG was so delicious after being cook in the BBQ grill.. The best marinated meats we have saw plus the staff are very so customer service.. Price is so awesome compare to L.A. CA.. lol.. We will for sure come back and buy from Cuevas Meat Market..

For this please I need to change my review, I dont like to give bad reviews about busines, because Im in business too.There is a lady kind of a light skin,I came in with my wife, she was by the cashier we say hi she never say anything, we came to pay she was the cashier and she didnt even say hi, everything we bought she mix meat with vegetables, and everything was Heavy to carry and all the avocados were ready for huacamole, we used to go there since we just moved from Phoenix to Henderson and support small business, is always good than big box stores.Its sad that some business they dont appreciate our support

Great food the best meats for a price that is easy on the wallet.Long ago was a los campadres but I have come here many years. I will alwats come back for more.Meat counter with marinated meats, a kitchen to pick up hit food and also many sweet desserts and special9 items.

I love this store!

Prices went up a lot on their prepared food more now than at local restaurants quality and size portion has down graded. Bread and pastries are still okay. Produce used to delicious now mold on the inside. Meats are still okay. I went there more when I had a job. Most of the workers dont understand English when asking for about products.June of 2018 bought leche cake only had the small round ones available which were priced at the long rectangular ones. We took it home and cut for a birthday. It tasted funny and the strawberries on top were rotten inside. Didnt take it back because we sliced it up between 8 people each person ate a few bites of it. We just tossed it to the chickens we have in the backyard. Very disappointed was very good. It was priced wrong and spoiled like the refrigerator stopped working for a few hours.

First visit to Cuevas and got the marinated carne asada flap beef and chicken, to grill for Cinco Dr Mayo.....Good Lord, where have I been these last 5 years?! We live less than 5 minutes away and have never gone! As a mother, I am ashamed to say that I have deprived my family of the very spoils that Cuevas offers! The marinade is so good and the meat is very tender! We have been devouring the marinated beef and chicken and have since aquired the meat sweats, but we have no regrets.Well be back Cuevas!

Service where they prepare the food was awful. First time being there so I asked some questions about the food and was scoffed at by the cashier. Also the order was wrong.

Rude always rude. EVERY time I go rude staff. They act like theyre doing you a favor. Today the ladies in the kitchen threthened with charging for the salsa and garnishes i was packing for my 2 cabeza burritos.... they might charge you if you take too much. I Answered, I will take just what I need. HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH? 3 red little cups of red salsa? 3 little cups of green? 3 or cilantro and 3 of oniob? I took the 9 slivers of lime.... They were closing for the night and were gonna be dried by morning. You are willing to lose a customer over 2 little cups of salsa.... These ladies are hateful. Today the cashier was nice. She sounds Colombian. Normally all the cashiers are rude... I like cuevas but I HATE THEIR ATTITUDE. They should really invest in some customer service and have them understand that with out the business- there are no jobs in their spanish speaking Commodities.

This cashier lady is ALWAYS overcharging me every time I go there. Even though I called her out on it. I guess she picks and choose what prices she wants to charge you accordingly to how she feels.

This store is very close to my house so i go 3 to 4 times a week i like almost everything in the store except for a lady cashier/manager that is always in her phone talking to somebody she barely looks at you and she is very rude, she dont even say hi to you, the guy that works on the meat section told me she is the manager i couldnt believe it she looks mad all the time:/ the owner needs to talk to her or something!!!
