Let me start by saying Liz and Richard are the best! Liz happily showed me around the showroom focusing only what was in my budget, she didn’t once try to upsell me or pressure me into buying the more expensive options which as a struggling millennial I appreciate. I placed my order with them on Saturday and by the following Friday Richard and another employee was delivering the futon I picked out. Not only did they deliver it, but Richard made sure I was comfortable with the mechanics of it all before leaving. I just had a friend spend the weekend with me and she was surprised at how well it slept because futons don’t have the best reputation for being comfortable sleepers. I couldn’t be happier with the futon I bought or the service I received from them.

I cant say enough good things about my experience shopping at Sims Futon Gallery. I was shopping for a new futon mattress, Liz introduced me to the entire line of options, starting with the more budget-conscious mattresses. Having worked retail for many years, I cant tell you how much I appreciated that I didnt feel that I was being sold to, but was allowed to decide what really felt right. I was also able (and encouraged) to take home some fabric swatches to see what would look best in my space. I love the mattress I chose so much! It has inspired lots of naps due to sheer comfort, not all of them planned. I have had several visitors, who have slept on the new mattress, and all have raved about how comfortable it is. I was extremely satisfied with my experience at Sims Futon Gallery. The mattress is unimaginably comfortable. I had been shopping around at big box stores and on line. I wasnt satisfied for one reason or another and didnt think I was going to have luck finding a futon this comfortable. Considering what I spent, the price wasnt much more than Walmart or Amazon.

I cant say enough good things about this place. Best customer service Ive experienced from anyone that I remember. Genuinely patient with my endless questions. They didnt push for me to get something more expensive but wanted me to have what met my needs. I left feeling like Id been served well. Happy with my purchase. I happily drove 150 miles round trip to purchase from Richard because of their stellar reputation. You think youre just buying a futon, but youll gain new friends at Sims. So personable, friendly and knowledgeable. Why take your chances buying online when there are people like Sims nearby who know the products inside and out, will treat you with incredible respect, and have the best quality products at reasonable prices? A very good variety different types of futons with different mattresses. Also a large variety a different colors for the mattresses. A very clean store as well as a very helpful person in charge.

The owners were extremely helpful, educating me about options, how to read the price labels etc. Liz also, when I told her I was looking for something reasonably priced for extra company in our home office/den, actually listened & showed me the most economical,. She touted its benefits, rather than just showing me the higher end stuff first. She answered all my questions, wrote down all the prices & exact dimensions for me to discuss with my husband. I would highly recommend this store for your futons or other type of convertible beds

Richard was wonderful. I purchased a Murphy Cabinet Bed and voiced my concerns due to some reviews I had read regarding the construction. My husband and I had always wanted a king-sized bed, but shopping for a bed and frame was totally daunting. So many choices, some of the options so incredibly expensive, and how to make a decision? I am so thankful I found Sims Futon Gallery -- they really made everything so easy. As I tried the different futons, one too firm, one too soft, Richard Sims suggested I try the Gemini. I was sold, and we are sleeping beautifully on this perfect futon. I chose the Black Pepper frame, and it is really stunning. And the service, including delivery, has been amazing. The Sims are kind, conscientious and knowledgeable people, and their pricing is very fair. You dont come across a business of this caliber every day.

Great selection from less expensive to more expensive and great quality. My wife and I purchased their lower end futon for guests in our first room and we love the futon. It came with a 5 year warranty on the frame. It also came with a really nice mattress as well. We went with the cheaper full size mattress and we were very impressed with its quality. Last but not least, Richard and the other lovely lady that helped us were probably the nicest people in the planet and went out of their way to help us and to hold the futon for us. I checked Amazon and EBay and for what I paid I can assure you the quality of this futon definitely beats the quality of any futon online. Most of that is because the futons have to be marked up online to make up for the really expensive shipping. Shopping local was way better for my wife and I. We purchased a Queen Day and Night Murphy Bed from Sims a few weeks ago, and our first overnight guests raved about it! I love how it looks when its folded up, and its so easy to set up for company. And best of all, we have so much space in the room when the bed is not in use. Great service. Excellent product. My wife and I recently bought a queen size futon from Sims Futon Gallery in Asheville, and we were pleased with the entire process. Jake, their key sales guy, delivered exceptional go-the-extra-mile customer service, starting on the front end by helping us select the right futon frame, mattress, mattress cover and pillows that fit our preferences and budget, to doing the final delivery and set-up in our home. Jake showed us how the futon converts back and forth from a sitting couch to a bed, as I didn’t get the hang of it right away, but after his patient guidance I saw just how easy it was. I highly recommend this store and I would recommend Jake for exceptional service. I also understand the owner does much to help homeless and abandoned animals in need, a fact that I also appreciate as a person who has devoted many volunteer hours in the animal welfare arena.

We bought a futon in 1998...love it. We needed a small replacement piece of hardware and on a trip to Asheville a couple of weeks ago (we live in Fla.) the owner was so helpful and found just what we needed in his store!! Great customer service for a bed we bought 15 years ago!!

We purchased a loft bed for our son for Christmas this past year. The staff and service were friendly, knowledgeable and communicated well with us. They sent Santas helpers to set it up a few days before Christmas despite the snowy weather. I purchased a Solstice bed frame and futon mattress from Sims several years ago. This summer, I took my nephew there to purchase the same mattress and he is as happy as I. They had the record of my purchase and because I referred my nephew, he received a 7% discount. I am getting ready to purchase the under the bed storage drawers soon and will receive a 7% discount as well. These folks are get and know the business well!

I ordered a couple of cabinet-style Murphy beds over the phone and these guys went way outta their way to get these to us in time for our pre-Thanksgiving houseguests. 100% friendly, knowledgeable, and proactive. We were looking for a moderately priced futon - something with quality but not top of the line pricing. Wed stopped at one other place in Waynesville, but ran out of there after seeing the one futon they had at a high price. We googled and found Sims and went there. T (Tee? Tea?) assisted us, listened to us, and hooked us up! We came out 20 minutes later with a great futon! If you are anywhere in Western North Carolina, this is the place to buy your futons! Great prices, great quality, excellent customer service.

We bought 3 futons from Sims in 1992 when our boys were in 4th and 7th grades. The boys took their futons to college with them, and the futons traveled with them to the numerous places they lived in after college. They lasted a long time and were much more portable than mattresses and boxsprings. This year I finally bought a replacement futon mattress from Sims for the futon still in my home.
