These guys are awesome! I was traveling through the area on a 37 year old K100 and had a brake problem which was going to end my trip. I found Plam on the internet and stopped by in desperation. They not only had the part I needed, but offered to install it even though it was late in the afternoon. If your ever in the area, or need BMW parts, you have to stop in and meet them.
I brought the guys over at Plam Werks my 1978 BMW R100/7 to finish rebuilding it, tune it, and shake it down. They did a fantastic job with an exceptional level of transparency. They called me when ever they hit any issues or problems that might result in any extra costs. And they insisted on always doing it the right way to make sure the problem doesnt not happen again. This kind of service made for a much higher level of trust in the process. I would highly recommend Plam Werks to anyone with an old BMW airhead who wants their bike running like new! Im glad they decided to move over to the east coast!
I’ve been looking for a qualified shop to work on my 1977 BMW R75/7. I’ve been lucky in the past to find some good mechanics who have helped me out. When I heard last year that PlamWerks was moving from California to North Carolina, I couldn’t wait to find their new digs. Their shop is second to none. They have helped me sort out some issues and encouraged me about some of my upgrades. I’ve since purchased a 1990 R100 GS/PD that needed some TLC. After going through the bike with fresh seals, gaskets, and fluids, it runs like new. These guys have a real passion, not just for Airheads, but just about anything on two wheels (or three if it has a sidecar).
Having just purchased my first classic BMW, Im so fortunate that these guys decided to relocate to North Carolina.Very knowledgeable and willing to help.My 40 year old bike is running great!Looking forward to many more visits and upgrades.Great guys, I highly recommend thier services.Sincerely, Eric Hausman
Awesome shop! They revived a 1991 Suzuki DR350 for me. Impressive to say the least. This is a very cool operation.
They restored an R60/5 for me that I purchased. It had been sitting outside for over 30 years. Professional staff, exceptional craftsmanship; the bike is show room quality now. I highly recommend them for BMW Motorcyle maintenance and restorations.
