We have visited this place millions of times and the donuts here are truly the best. We tried donuts all over the country, and they are never even in comparison to Best Donuts. The employees are friendly and the produce is always delicious and fresh. Their breakfast sandwiches are fantastic as well. Always a pleasant experience.

Once lived on the donuts from here. Recently revisited this fried pastry palace and again enjoyed, even with new operators. Four visits for office treats and their praises were running high. Fifth visit came after a period in which the business closed. When re-opened (within 12 to 36 hours), I again stopped for treats. The stench was horrid and I feared contamination. The odor was from spray to ward off bugs. This odor was prevalent for multiple days and surely affected my delight with donut quality. Use your sense of smell if its not the glaze or scent of a bakery, travel on!

I am local to this shop. And unfortunately meet the same disappointing service here each time. Any east fix. Always greet, take orders and say good bye to the customer cheerfully, as best you can. The counter people look at me blankly and unhappily every time I’m here. This is Cali! It can be easy to be lite here. Keep it light engaged and friendly. Enjoy!

Good food but be careful the breakfast sandwich is scorching hot! I burned my mouth eating it! I was not warned...I was Left with a sore in my mouth from how hot it was, it was tasty but they should be careful when serving to eat right away at dining area. The donuts are good tho just please be more aware with your customers.

My go-to place in the South Bay. Some wonderful treats here. The sweets are good, the savory treats are good, everything is good. Wonderful staff and good prices too.

I moved to Hermosa Beach thirty three years ago. I was in heaven when I found Best Donuts. Kim and Henry (the previous owners) really cared about their customers and the quality of their food. I miss them.When the new owners took over at first the were friendly and the food flavor maintained the great flavor.Fast forward to the last few months.. Im never going back and below are my reasons.1) We adore Sofia (the M-F girl) she is super sweet and always greets us with a big smile.2) The baker/s Monday - Thursday are not consistent. The flavor is dry, little to no icing on the glazed.3) The other girls (owners) not so sweet and hardly never smiles. We (my husband and I) getting the feeling they are feel as though they are doing us a favor by waiting on us.4) Ive been trying not to eat so many sweets but I cant give up my morning sweets to I switched from getting a glazed or glazed twist to a few donut holes. Over the last few months, Ive seen the amount of holes go from 5-6 for 0.50 cents to 2 holes. WOW...yes, really.5) We go on the weekend mornings for our sweet fix (when the other owners are working) there is often no parking. At first Id think, WOW..they must be packed in there but nooooo they take up the front store parking for themselves. I dont understand how owners of a business thinks its ok to be so inconsiderate to their customers. Last week, I witnessed an elderly lady park her car over by the grocery store and walked over (more like hobbled, she had a brace on her leg) but I guess she really wanted her donut fix too.This review is written with a sad heart...too bad...they once had the Best Donuts and Service.We miss Kim and Henry! They were the best!

Two tasty donuts and a small coffee for $3.60! I stayed at a hotel nearby and it was perfect for breakfast.

Service a plus. I dont go as often anymore (healthier habits) When I do, the service has gotten much better.Donuts are usually fresh and delicious 😋

After driving north on PCH we stopped at 3 different coffee locations. Sad, they ran out of sweets, food snacks or coffee ran out. We continued north on PCH and found this wonderful Donut shop called BEST DONUTS amazing, friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean, rated A, parking, and had our donuts slightly heated and had a great cup of coffee. Wonderful hit the spot. Prices are very reasonable, table seating and east to notice off PCH.

This is a really great place. The staff is always super nice. Go with the ice coffee (Vietnamese style) and you can get a free donut. Also try the hot coffee and get the Mexican style. So good :)

It was fire! Honestly at first I was a little hesitant but its really good. I went around 2am for a wheat blueberry and I wish I lived closer to go back. Highly recommend.

Looked forward to a good donut today, a splurge. Decided to share a Cinnmaon roll with a friend (because actually they were huge). Got to our hotel balcony took one bite and spit it out in to a napkin, PURE grease bomb... inedible. This would have been ok but they were not friendly either:{{. just saying. There is a store next door a market wit incredible looking bakery. Try that if you are staying Hotel Hermosa across the street.

This place has been around forever and I actually use to visit it every day. They really do have the best donuts, pretty much anywhere. I miss them now I live in Kansas, but still try to visit at least once for fresh donuts when I visit Los Angeles.I highly recommend going between Midnight and 2:00AM to pickup the FRESH donuts being made. I suggest the chocolate glazed donut holes if they are hot, or the ultimate raised glazed as soon as they will allow you to buy them... generally this is around 2:00AM.

Delicately fluffy & delicious doughnuts. No greasy after taste or film left in my mouth.And the cafe de olla coffee was tasty.

Their sugar raised is a touch too dense for my liking. The texture of their old fashioned is a bit too cake-like. The French crueler was decent.

The name of the place describes their doughnuts perry well (other than the spelling mismatch). I recommend you try the French doughnuts. They are super soft with big air bubbles, like a croissant.

Came after Easter Sunrise Service. The donuts are fabulous. We had apple fritters, blueberry, choc sprinkles and glazed. The coffee was good too. The prices are great. Definitely recommend you give it a try!
