Very nice Manager! I called for an appointment and he was really nice. Got there for my car inspection and was told it will take about 1h. They were done in like 30 minutes! Also reasonable price compared to other places. He also gave me some discount when I checked receipt. Clean office and nice environment! You should visit for your car needs.

Was participating in a big classic car show in Hershey, PA and lost the chrome tip off the tailpipe. They had exactly the one I needed and replaced it in minutes saving my day.

After a car accident in 2018 left me without a working air conditioner I took my 2010 Ford to multiple other mechanics and nobody was able to find the reason why. While having my fiancé’s car in for an inspection at Meineke in Hershey they were able to diagnose the issue within 15 minutes of popping the hood. I am very grateful that the gentleman who helped me not only knew the issue so quickly but told me an immediate estimate to have it fixed and gave me a time frame they would need my car for. I scheduled the appointment and dropped my car off and within 6 hours they had it fixed and ready to go. Blowing cold air once again. Very thankful for the mechanics at Meineke in Hershey!

I had originally made an appt to get a PA inspection at the dealership but they cancelled week before saying the appropriate tech isn’t available to perform a state inspection. I don’t think I need a master tech for state inspection granted this is a special car. Instead, I tried meineke who fit me in when I was free and had the inspection done and out the door in 30 min. And they took great care of my car that’s over $100k…I was a bit nervous but everyone was professional and I was able to wait for the car unlike most places in Hershey. Most places I called wanted me to drop this car off etc. anyway, I can’t speak to repairs etc, but this was great. As I was waiting, there was a lady who forgot her insurance card, the front desk person was super nice and even called the customer’s insurance company and had the card emailed. I think that’s pretty good customer service.

While I was on a road trip with my family of 5 and dog when I got a flat tire. I called over 20 shops and none would help us because it was the last day of the month and they were too busy except this Meineke. Not only were they able to help us, but they got us in and out within 30 minutes. They were a lifesaver. Highly recommend them for their exquisite service.

I needed a quick oil change before I left for vacation, and the place I usually take my van to was booked for weeks. I was able to go on Meineke’s website and instantly get and appointed for the that same day. I chose to stay while my oil was being changed, thinking it would be an hour or so. Nope, my van was down is less than a half hour and I was on my way. They even told me of a few issues on my van that may need to be fixed in the future as well as the price- although there was no pressure to have them fixed there. I would totally recommend Meineke for a quick oil change, and will most definitely be back.

Great service at a reasonable price. The service technician explained the issue in clear understandable language and provided a solution. He was even able to provide a discount which made the service more affordable but otherwise would have been too expensive. The service fix was done on time and I was back on the road much safer than before so thank you.

Took my vehicle here for PA state inspection. Inspection was completed on time. I was out the door in about 80 minutes.

We were able to schedule Saturday 7:30am for an oil change. They were great accommodating us with short notice. They started right on time and finished quickly. They had the synthetic oil and push on filter our car needed.

The staff were super helpful when I came to get my vehicle, showed me and explained to me exactly what I needed to pass inspection, and were very nice! I believe the one mechanic’s name was Greg. Going to a place like this made me a lot more comfortable than some random side of the road garage since I’m new to this area and everything was priced fairly. I’ll be taking my vehicle back soon for tire install, part install, and reinspection.

We drove our minivan up from North Carolina and started to hear the rear brake pads squealing around Winchester, Va. By the time we got to our hotel in Hershey, the rear brakes were rubbing and screeching very loudly... even without applying the brakes. I knew something would have to be done while here on vacation. After trying several local auto shops who told me to leave the car with them while we were at the amusement park, and they would “try to get to it to loom at if they had time”.... which was discouraging and inconvenient.Being the smart man that I am... I listened to my brilliant wife and called Meineke. Zachary told me to come on in and they would diagnose it and quote it immediately. This was at 8 am.When I arrived, Greg in the office couldn’t have been nicer and the mechanic got right on the diagnostics. While I’m no super experienced mechanic, he showed me exactly what the problem was. A frozen caliper, which would need replacing along with a new rotor and rear pads. They did not try to upsell me on anything and I felt that I was treated honestly and was promptly provided a fair quote. Regardless of how inconvenient and unexpected car repair is while 1,000 miles from home.Greg loaned me a van to drive back to my hotel and called me within two hours to notify me that my job was completed with zero complications.I went to pick up my vehicle and was able to enjoy a full day at Hershey amusement park with my family.I appreciate and highly recommend the Hershey Meineke for both local and vacationer auto repairs. My warranty is also good in my hometown as well. That wouldn’t happen with a smaller local garage Pennsylvania.Thanks to the fellas at Hershey Meineke.

Well I got a state inspection done and I paid almost $1300 to pass inspection and was not offered any specials until my friend asked if you could do better with price. My uncle is a Mechanic in another state and when I told him what was done he felt I was over charged by quite a bit. It took from 8 to 3 in the afternoon. I was not happy. When I left my car is not exactly how I think it should be driving. Not happy with this service or price.

Inspection and checked my brakes had it done bright and early for me called right away went picked up yes I recommend this location for inspections yes I’ll go there again thank you

This place of business is the worst at price gauging and bad service that Ive ever experienced and thats saying alot more than the avg customer since I come from NYC! I tried their service 3 or 4 times too! Each time I was way over-charged. The first two times avg charge for repairs was $700 after the second visit, my vehicle began making noises that indicated repair was not completely done, so I took the car to a different mechanic and got repair done correctly at fraction of the cost so I started to go to that mechanic regularly. But recently, I wasnt feeling up to the 45 minute drive to the other mechanic and it had been at least 2 years since my last visit...so I thought its just a state inspection, my car was running fine so it should pass easily...well I took a chance that maybe mgmt had changed since my last visit and found that I was VERY WRONG once again! This time they tried to charge me $1,500. to get a state inspection done on a perfectly good running vehicle! Well, enough is enough! I should have known better, but I tried to give the benefit of the doubt because I bought into the trusted name of the business. If you are reading this review, I dont recommend you do the same!

Carl and crew at Meineke saved the day and got us home safely. We had a very bad oil leak occur while visiting Hershey. It was late in the day on a Saturday and they were unable to get the required OEM part to fix properly. However, they were able to Macgyver a temporary fix to get us home. We were further delighted to be contacted a few hours later by Carl to check in with us to see if we made it home safely. I would highly recommend this shop for service.

I brought them a car in bad shape, needing a lot of work. They explained everything to me politely and professionally, making clear recommendations while still providing options. My experience waiting for the car was also pleasant as the employees are very kind. The car is now back in tip top shape.

These guys are always friendly and super fast, I dont know why the other Meineke locations in the Harrisburg area have such a difficult time with customer service and getting the job done in a timely manner, but I travel an extra 20 minutes just to go to this one because theyre so great at the Hershey location! Great experience every time since the new owner took over! Owner is honest, cares about his customers, and is happy to take the time to explain the inner workings of the car to those who are less knowledgeable. Staff is also friendly and respectful. I am in and out with little wait and the customer service and maintenance on my car has been great! Definitely recommended!

STAY AWAY!Second update: I reached out through the website as instructed by my response to this post. An hour later the shop owner text me asking why I contacted customer service and that I was supposed to discuss my concern with him. First, I already discussed my concern with him on Saturday and the problem was not resolved. Second, being contacted via text and asked multiple times why I did not contact him first felt harassing. He couldnt even have the decency to call me. I told him the situation and told him I wanted a refund. He wants me to bring my car back AGAIN to inspect it (AGAIN!) before issuing a refund. I already discussed my concern with you, why do I need to come back a 3rd time after you inspected it twice and then my car was absolutely safe and you would trust your family in it? Im having the actual problem fixed tomorrow because the car is not safe so I can not bring it in for him to inspect AGAIN. Also, why would I trust my car with this shop after overlooking the real problems? He refuses to provide any admission of mistake or refund unless I bring the car for him to see. Didnt you see it enough already? So far nothing has been done to resolve my concern. This service and the shop owners behavior is absolutely unacceptable and I demand a refund.First update: horrible shop. Im not sure if the shop scammed me, if they were negligent or if they are incapable. After spending $800 and not having my compliant fixed I took it for a second opinion. The second opinion shop said indeed I needed different repairs. The Meineke owner assured me everything was fixed and that my car was safe to drive for a cross country move after I complained the problem was still there. This is absolutely not the case as I needed the calipers, struts and shocks fixed! How did they miss this? The second shop took me in and showed me the damage so I know this work does indeed need done. MEINEKE I WANT A REFUND! You have my phone number and I hope to recieve a phone call about a refund.Original:Took my car in to have a specific noise/issue fixed. Paid $800 and Im not sure they fixed the initial complaint I had. The shop owner went for a ride in the car with me and said what I was hearing was normal. He assured me everything was safe and told me to come back in a week if Im still concerned. Its a new sound to my car and doesnt seem normal to me. I might be overreacting as I am naturally an emotional person. Will be getting a second opinion by the dealership service center and will update my review when I have information from that shop.

Inspection for a vehicle registered in another state, took me right away, performed both a safety and emissions inspection, provided reports, no attempts to sell me anything else, discounted my total by $30 even though I did not have the coupon, very polite and friendly, advised me to keep an eye on a small transmission leak but not to worry because it is very small. Went for my inspection. Told what issues I had. They fixed those issues. I was in and out in just about an hour.

I always enjoy dealing with this location. The people who work there are straight forward with you on what your car needs and doesn’t need. Incredibly honest and just want you to be happy with what you have.

I was here for an inspection and ended up needing brake pads to pass. I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that they let me in back where my car was mounted and took the time to teach me things but when it came to the pricing there were some discrepancies. I feel like if you’re new to cars you should bring someone to listen in when dealing with pricing.

Generally, my experiences with this Meineke have been good. The issue I have is that several months ago I went in for an oil change. At that time the tech recommended that I replace my front brakes and rotors. The quoted cost was reasonable (~$350) but I have a good friend who is a mechanic and figured I would take the opportunity to learn how to replace brakes and rotors. Fast forward to July (several months more of driving on the old pads) and I purchased a set of pads and rotors from Advance, and stopped by my buddies garage to have him walk me through the install. After removing the old pads, the lowest measured 5/32. He noted that 2/32 is the lowest required to pass inspection and that I probably had another few years on the existing brakes. This seemed like a straight up-charge of an unnecessary service. Sadly, most people dont have the connections to know whether or not Meineke is recommending a necessary service. In this case, they were trying to get more money out of me for something that wasnt necessary and have lost a customer for good.

While in vacation my change oil notification came on in my car, I called Meineke and they took me me right away. Super fast service, friendly staff. It was very convenient. I drove home with no worries. Definitely my go to oil change place if ever back in Hershey and need one.

Price of service was about average. Desk person was not at all personable nor friendly. Dont think he wanted to be there. Will probably end up going back to Jack Williams.

I would have given zero stars for them. I got an inspection there today. The attitude from who looks like the manager or owner was very rude and disrespectful. He wanted to charge me $60 for the inspection. I showed him the coupon I had (attached below), he took a quick glance and said its $44. Didnt bother asking for my employee ID. I paid it. After I got home I looked at my coupon, the discount should have included the sticker fee and MCI fee, but he charged me extra for those. Why bother advertising a coupon for your own location if youre not going to honor it? Extremely dishonest.

I took my car to Meineke initially because my trunk wasnt closing and they were able to not only fix it, but showed me what the issue was and how to remedy it if it happened again. I then took it back the next day to be inspected, which was done in a very timely manner. I really appreciate how helpful, friendly, and professional everyone was and I will be returning!

Auto inspection was performed on my 11 year old Ford. There was no gouging of finding extra things to build up the price. This was a real trust builder.

I had made an appointment for my state inspection to be done at 9:30. 10:50 and my car still in there with nothing being said to me. Why offer appointments if my car sits for 45 minutes before even going in. Ridiculous service when there are barely any other cars.

I want to leave a huge shoutout to the owner, so sorry I didnt catch his name but we were in a hurry. My boyfriend and I were traveling to our college when we saw that the service battery light came on. We immediately tried to find an autoshop that would be able to help us. We were turned away for three other shops before finding Meineke. When we got into the shop they realized that our alternator had failed and they were going to have to replace it. The owner went out of his way to find an alternator that day. The first alternator did not fit but that didnt stop him. He found another alternator that was able to arrive that day. The owner also made all his guys agree to stay past shop hours to put it in for us. This is the first autoshop that has ever went out of there way for us and we are forever grateful! So glad that the shop is under better management. Thank you!

On Sunday January 3rd I left NC to drive home to Vermont. We had passed Harrisburg when warning lights lit my dash and I lost power steering. Made it to gas station, called AAA. They came told me alternator dead towed to Meineke in Hershey. We made our way to a travel lodge. I phoned Sunday night and left a very detailed message of which the person said she would make sure the E.Chocolate Ave in Hersey would receive it. I told her I wanted the aforesaid location to call me with an estimate BEFORE any work was done. When I didnt hear from them I called them. I was told that they were trying to find an alternator and would call me. This was 8:30am. By 10 I still had not heard anything. I decided to walk to the location and find out what was going on. While walking I get a call telling me the car was ready. Ready? When I told them twice no work until I authorized it. Also during my walk I called Auto Zone and asked them a price for a new and a rebuilt. New $229, rebuilt $189. I get to the location and I asked why I was not contacted to get approval...the clerk just stared at me giving me no answer. He then gives me the bill and charged me $468.51 for a REBUILT alternator. I asked him where he got the part. He tells me Napa. So I called Napa right in front of him because he wouldnt answer my questions...what did I find? That you charged me almost 3 times higher. Then you charged for for 3 hours labor. I then made a call to a mechanic I used this summer in NC...he had replaced an alternator for my nephew...took him less than an hour. Bottom line...I was charged $801.85 for an alternator + a $47 belt. This is way beyond highway robbery. I will make it my mission to spread this issue everywhere I can think of starting with the BBB of Hershey. I own a business so Im aware what happens when the outcome is not good and when consumers need to be notified. You need to make this right. I will wait til Monday the 18th before I start my campaign.

This was our first visit. I called for a quote on tires and I had a response back within the hour. We were given multiple choices. Asked for their recommendation and we went with it. Excellent prices. Asked for an oil change and to check brakes. They responded with all the information and prices to replace pads and rotors. Everything was completed the same day. We were in PA and our Brakes had a problem and had to be repaired, Being from NC I did know the area, They were so nice and helpful, I went in at 7:30 am, the problem was diagnosed, parts were brought in, repair was done by 11 am, and they gave us a van to drive while the work was done, I was 100% satisfied and would highly recommend this Business!

I have been going to this shop since 2004. Not again. They didnt want to give me the rewards points I had accumulated for years. I had to push to get them to use them. They finally redeemed 2000 points and then my other 1000 just disappeared with no mention. Tried to charge me emissions when I was under the 5000 mile yearly limit. I also just realized that they never even rotated my tires but it was on my bill. I measured the tread before dropping off for service. Same 2 tires are still on the front of my car. Time to find someone else. Disappointed because I trusted this garage for so long.

Brought my vehicle in to get registered knowing it might have some issues, they were able to tell me what’s wrong, got it fixed for way less that what a dealership what charge and much faster. Afterwards the owner took the time to get to know me alittle better and tell me about himself. Really appreciate the connection and it shows that he truly cares about what he does.

I have a built in “distrust” of car repair places. Second time here. First time because my good ole boy mechanic (whom I trust) couldn’t diagnose the problem. Both times they have treated me very fairly and explained options and applied no pressure whatsoever. Very cool. Very appreciated. Wishing/praying for the best for this place, owner, and employees.

Pretty straightforward. In and out service. Just call ahead or overnight drop off. No complaints.

Got an inspection and oil change. Service was quick and well done, and they didnt charge me 3 times the cost of things like dealerships do. Would definitely recommend!

This shop was able to accommodate same day vs. having to wait multiple days for an appt. at other shops. Price to replace some rusted bolts and an exhaust flange was in line with what other shops would have charged. Very friendly folks and will be back for future repairs.

My family has been using this Meineke for 15+ years and we would never consider going anywhere else. They have looked after all our cars and we never have to wonder if they are recommending the right thing. Extremely trustworthy!

This Meineke in Hershey is amazing! The staff is friendly and even though they don’t really want people waiting inside due to the virus they let us anyway due to the extreme heat as of late. Excellent customer service!

We used the services again on 5/27/21 and we were very pleased with everything they did for us. We will continue to go there.Update:After my previous review the owner contacted me in a very timely manner and we were able to work out the differences. This meant a lot to me and we will continue to use them in the future.The work was done well but was very displeased that the amount that was quoted for labor was not correct. Was quoted $135 for labor but then was charged $270 for labor and was not notified.

They took less time then they quoted 🙂& remembered to reset oil gauge when done. Informative, pleasant. Would use again for future car needs.

I have a company car and unexpectedly found a nail in my tire. It’s a very disheartening feeling when you realize you can go back to work and you’re not able to drive.Meineke addressed the problem immediately And was able to replace the tire along with doing some general maintenance to my vehicle.The customer service was outstanding. July 2019Same excellent service but, the price seems to have climbed rather steeply. $175 for inspection and an oil change even though its synthetic seems extraordinary to me for a 4 year old low mileage pickup. Truck needed nothing no repairs adjustments or other miscellaneous items.Perhaps they need to throw in a quick car wash? Even though mine didnt need one I just feel a lack of value for the money

My car was taken in right away, after I called asking about getting a new battery. They were courteous and service was great. My only complaint is that it seemed overpriced.

The Meineke is Hershey, had amazing customer service by their manager Mike. Mike was honest and forth coming about everything that was happening with my vehicle. The prices are so great and customer service was twice as good! I will definitely be using The Meineke in Hershey for my future car repairs.

We recently found ourselves stranded in Hershey with unknown car troubles. We were lucky enough to find this Meineke location not only open, but staffed with super helpful and kind employees. They went out of their way to ensure that we would be able to leave the next morning by staying open later than usual in order to locate our parts and complete all necessary repairs. I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done if not for their kindness and efficiency. Would highly recommend this Meineke to anyone in the Hershey area.

This was my first visit and I was VERY impressed! Carl was very helpful and professional....and the office was spotless! The mechanic was also very friendly, and completed my job in short order. I will be happy to return there and recommend them!

I had a bit of an emergency, and a busy day ahead. I was treated with respect by every employee I came in contact with. My kids were treated the same. I was expecting to pay $100 more than what my cost was. I was also expecting to be there for at least an hour, if not more; but we were in and out! I will go back here for all services from now on.

I have a college aged daughter and needed to get her car serviced while home on break so I sent her with a list of things I wanted to get done. I was fearing that they would try and up-sell her and pressure her on other services. In fact, Carl and his team were able to check and see that we really did NOT need to get the coolant flush and filled as I had thought. They did find some items that needed attention but were very clear in telling us that they were recommended but not necessary. At no time did my daughter feel pressured and Carl was more than happy to answer any of my questions directly if needed. Overall I was EXTREMELY pleased with our experience and I will be going there again.

Do NOT go here for an inspection of an older car.I dont normally write negative reviews, but I felt obligated to share my experience here in order to prevent others from getting hoodwinked.This Meineke location failed my 2005 Dodge Neon PA state safety inspection for multiple issues, one month after it passed inspection in North Carolina. The gentleman at the front desk told me that it needed $1300 in repairs after failing the safety inspection. I inquired as to what part of the $1300 was needed to pass the inspection, and he was hesitant to answer. After further questioning, he admitted that the $1300 worth of repairs would still not allow it to pass, because they couldnt fix the part for my wiper spray nozzle on the dash. He also told me that my car was probably not worth getting fixed and that I should just get a new one. This was surprising to me, since it has been running very well for the last 14 years and had just passed inspection in North Carolina!Fast forward a few days, I fixed the wiper spray nozzle myself for $15 with a universal kit from Advanced Auto Parts (it took me 5 minutes), and I took it to another inspection station down the road that passed it on the same day with $300 dollars worth of repairs.I called Meineke customer service and told them about my dissatisfaction, and I have yet to hear back.I will never go to a Meineke again, and I hope you wont either!****Update on 11/7/19...The owner gave me a call, and we had a very long conversation about the situation. After 25 minutes of a somewhat tense phone call, he decided that he would give me a store credit to refund the inspection, and he was apologetic for parts of my experience.

I went to get my brakes checked. There was a coupon for brakes and a free car inspection. The price they gave me to do the work that needed to be done was a fair price. I was able to get a comparison estimate while deciding what I wanted to get done.I needed over 800.00 worth of work done. I was able to get it financed intrest free for a year. That was a blessing!!! Im on a fixed income, so being able to break up that payment was more budget friendly. Thank you Meineke.

These guys are great! Keith is always friendly and remembers his customers. The team is respectful of your time, allows Friday night drop offs and pick up mid Saturday which is awesome for me! I’ve never felt like they’ve recommended anything I don’t need. They take care of my car without charging a fortune.

Highly recommend this shop, Keith was great for my state inspection. He priced matched Costco for tires which I doubt they even made money on. I had to get some other work done like bulbs and brakes and they were really busy so they gave me a loaner car for FREE so I could get some work done while I waited for the car. When I picked up he even honored two additional coupons I found online. Great service and nice people!

The guy’s at Meineke in Hershey had given me the Veteran Free oil change on Veterans Day and they looked over my car and found other issues that need to be replaced . It touched my heart that they just didn’t give me just the oil change and send me out the door they took the time to be concerned about my safety and the performance of my car .
