So, typically I read the reviews of places that I will spend my money on especially something like equipment for my childs band class and the customer service provided. I did not have the luxury of reading the reviews as I received a letter stating that my child needed their instrument yesterday (literally!) As I am writing my review, which I never write reviews, I see why this place receives such positive feedback!* I had the absolute PLEASURE of dealing with Matthew, who is one the kindest people that I have met since moving to the High Desert. He was knowledgeable and, was familiar with my childs band teacher and knew what other accessories I would need really without me even asking for them. I had my two toddler girls with me, one of which fell asleep, my hands were full and Matthew asked several times if he could help me with anything, he offered to take my equipment to the car seeing that I was struggling a bit. Chivalry is not dead!! Matthew is truly an asset to this company. While I completed my transaction, I noticed that he treated EVERY customer with the same respect and eagerness to help. There was another friendly gentleman there as well and I did not get his name, but he offered some assistance when I was looking for additional accessories.You guys are awesome!!! Thank you!!

This music store is grreeeaaaattttt!!!!!!It is the one and only best music store in the dessert area. Only problem is, it is addicting. Every time I leave. I have a empty wallet. Anyway I love this music store & the people who work there. They are very helpful & informative. I give it 5 stars.

For the only music store in the high desert its ok. They only had one pair of monitors and they had buzz right out of the box. Its not ground buzz though.

Im not into instruments until now! I have an obsession with the saxophone and so I went to Beethoven to get one, it was a used saxophone but hey Im not complaining at all! All I need to do is buy a neck strap and a cleaning kit an Ill be good! All in all amazing service!

The guys in there were ok, but they gave me a dirty flute even the case was visibly dirty. There was another person that got a flute at the same time and that one was not dirty at all case and all.

Im not a musician so I primarily visit this place to hunt down old records, but the owner and the employees are more than happy to greet and talk to you about music. Willy is such a great guy and you cant help but want to hang out and chat with such an interesting and charming man. The great part about his employees is that not only are they incredibly knowledgeable about music, but all three are musicians as well. Its nice to talk to people who are passionate about their work.

Really helpful customer service! Bought a new fender and was given a humidifier for free. Was unsure on what to look for and an employee was helpful showing what options there were and checked the guitar I chose before I bought it to make sure it was all good. Super helpful.

I spotted a ludwig drum set, showcased on the floor with all the hardware, cymbals and a throne on sale for $1,000.I wanted to think about it for a couple of days and I really wanted to support our local merchant.I went back to buy it 4 days later and the only thing left on the showroom was just the drum shells. When I asked what happened to the hardware, symbols and throne the guy said oh that was never part of the drum set. It has always just been the shell. I replied, four days ago I was here looking at it & there was a little sign on the set that specified everything that was included with the price. Just as the other remaining drum kit sitting next to it on the showroom had.Rather than saying they had made a mistake on the sign, and working something out, he lied to me by saying it must have fallen off. Needless to say I bought one elsewhere.

A decent music store that focuses on electric guitars, amplifiers, and drums. The store suffers from the typical male biased attitudes of most music stores.

At Roll Over Beethoven I feel like a kid in a candy store. The stock changes frequently so when Im in the area Im always down to stop by. Ive bought, sold, traded, and swapped amps, heads, pedals, guitars, and cabinets. I played a Peavey bass there recently and for $200 new I was impressed with the sound. So now I have my first passive bass. I still have my first Peavey Bass Amp from there too. Basically gear most people can afford mixed with some high end favorites. They probably think I cant play. Im against playing in a music store because my husbands a real musician and I play for fun... Can I get a discount on that really expensive pedal in the case? I think its green (colorblind) and had some road wear but Ill have to think of the name... Apparently he traded it to you 15-20 years ago and I have to hear about it every time we come in because of the price.I also recently had two basses adjusted and theyre sounding great.

Fixed my guitar a little expensive but sounds great

Went in to get new pickups installed and I wanted the wiring redone as well. After waiting over a week for my guitar to be done, the tech only changes out the pickups but leaves all the old wiring cause he said everything looked “fine”. Even if it looked fine, that’s not what I asked for. Sure I got charged less, but if that was the case then I could’ve just swapped them out myself and saved 40 bucks. I also asked for my guitar to be re-stringed and found out that he just reused the same strings that we’re already on there. I’m all for supporting small businesses, but if that’s the case then I’d rather make the trip to guitar center and give them business. Was not happy at all.

I just purchased a small guitar from a friend. Its my first guitar. The guitar shop man told me it was a good guitar, he restrung it and replaced a missing string, it was stung for left, Im right handed. He also recommended picks. All done in 7 minutes. Very happy to help me as I know nothing, John snow.

There used to be 3 music stores out here in the desert: Toms Music, db Music, and Rollover Beethoven. Theres a reason why this is the only music store still open in our beloved desert. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Fair and reasonable pricing on gear, and they also set up and repair instruments as well. If you have questions about specific product, they can actually answer them without trying to salesman you into buying stuff you dont need. Ive been coming here for around 15 years, and will continue to do so as long as i can hold an instrument.Thanks for the service 👍

They know their stuff and Have always been honest with me. I bought a violin online and brought it to them to ask them to tune it and fix something that was off. They said we dont want to offend you but to be honest that is basically just a toy. Its not a REAL violin. It meant a lot. It was the first violin for my daughter so of course didnt want a toy. They also Have options to rent, rent to own, or layaway. I took advantage of the layaway and bought my daughter a REAL violin. She LOVES it. Ive only had to go in here for my daughters violin🎻 but every time they have always were so willing to help. I have other family members who have come here for years and they say the same thing. They wont go anywhere else. They come for DJ equipment and music instruments.

Took my daughter to this music store on a recent stop in the High Desert. She was looking for flute sheet music. This is the same music store I went to as a kid. Sheet music still in the back. Dark building but still staffed by upbeat musicians. Found what we were looking for and a bit of nostalgia. Would go back if we were driving through the desert again.

Ive had my guitar repaired there, Ive purchased my amplifier and guitar there by doing a little trade with cash for my guitar, and I was always treated extremely well there by the staff members. They have lots of equipment and accessories as well as instruments there, and the guys are knowledgeable. Its a great little mom and pop shop but you can work with them on purchases. I go there first for all of my stuff. They also have lessons there for people of all ages.

THIS IS the only place in the high desert that services real Musicians and those starting out. The service is top notch, and they can get you anything pretty quick if they dont have it. Oh yea, they do on site repairs.They are not there to sell you everything under the sun just to make a buck like everyone else, it seems they really want you to enjoy your musical experience with as little as you need and they count on you coming back as you learn and your needs grow. Neat, well stocked but small local music store. One has to wonder how concerned they are about sales when you ask about availability and price of an item not in stock and the worker (the owner?) walks away, never to be seen again. I try to buy local but they can certainly do better than this. Overall I DO like the store but service seems to leave a bit to be desired.

Had a gift certificate so I went in to buy great quality guitar strings. They had both great acoustic and electric. I was in for maybe 3 minutes and got a great look at what they had. Love this store, been going here since I lived here. Best guitar store in the inland empire by far.

I remember when Willy opened the first Rollover Beethovens (which he outgrew quick) I thought what a cool name for a music store and Ive never crossed a better one yet. Willy is a superb being kind and intelligent. If youre interested in music of any kind check this place out, they are no joke.

I have been going to Roll Over Beethovens since I was a little girl. Great service, great prices, great selection, very knowledgeable staff and if they dont have what you need they will order it for you. They offer so many services from repairs to lessons. Its not an oversized chain store it is like going home. They are a historic landmark and pillar in our community. If you are looking for an instrument to purchase, rent or repair this is the place to go.

We absolutely love the staff at Beethovens! We have purchased many instruments here and they have always been at great prices and quality. My 3 children also take lessons here. We have purchased an acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, 2 amps, and a drum set. I believe in giving my children quality instruments when they are learning. This is the place to go!

I recently bought a violin here and am very pleased with it but had a problem with one of the pegs tightening. Called this morning from 10 am (which is their advertised opening) until 12 to see if someone would be able to help me today and just kept getting a busy signal. Thinking someone would be there, I drove over to see a sign on the window that read closed today for remodeling. Could that not have been put on their answering system? Do they have an answering system? Not cool.

A really awesome little shop that more than makes up for lack of inventory with stellar personal service. That said, even with their limited selection, Ive always managed to find what I needed there. They price match Guitar Center or Sweetwater so you can still get corporate deals and support a small independent business fighting among the big dogs. Matt is a great dude that goes out of his way to make sure you get what youre looking for. The High Desert doesnt have a Guitar Center and frankly it doesnt need one. Roll Over Beethoven more than does the job.Their parking lot is a challenge though, be cautious pulling in and out of that place.
